It was a fast trip to make an exam on the next day, employees were polite, just the room there was this noise of running water from the bathroom every now and then but i didnt try to change room because was alrrady late and I had to wake very early

The hotel is being reformed and this causes some trouble. The carpet in front of our room (1310) was with a bad smell. The breakfast, due to the reform of the kitchen had a number of problems. We are usual guests of Ibis Liberdade and one point we note is that the bed linen is small for the size of the bed.

decent level of service and infra. hotel seems to need some retrofit (painting, carpets and etc). breakfast is decent but no sofistication (kind of a grab and go)... for the low budget traveler seems ok.

This hotel has nice, simple, clean rooms. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the hotel is in a central location, and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

It was overall good, very nice staff, but the reformation of the entrance was a annoying specially for my girlfriend that sneezed a lot because of the dust. It made us to reconsider and then we decided to stay one day more in Ouro Preto (other city) and cancelled the other reservation.

Prices doesn't reflect this inconvenients; the Hotel should provide some welcome package with apologies for the renovation or at list a bottle of water at arrival. * The room small fridge was empty and not attached to power * Parking service was ineficient and burocratic, it should be charged directly to room

My experience at the Ibis Liberdade was as always wonderful. The hotel staff are polite and very helpful. They helps us in everything we need, from find us a quieter room where we can sleep peacefully, to know how to travel safely and in a cheaper way and being able to know all the tourist points at the city and arounds. They even help us where to find quality vegan restaurants which is amazing. Everyone at the hotel is kind and friendly, morning and evening staffs, but I would like to give special attention to Victor and Bonela for the friendliness, efficiency and good mood in dealing with us. I recommend the Ibis network from all over the world, but in Belo Horizonte, I specifically recommend the Ibis Liberdade.

on Sep 27 I check out of Ibis Liberdade after a 5 day stay and left a small toilet bag in my room. I rang the next day and asked if this was located. I was told that the person responsible for lost items wasn't there and On Sep 27 I checked out of Ibis Liberdade after a 5 day stay and left a small toilet bag in my room. I rang the next day and asked if this had been located. I was told that the person responsible for lost items wasn't there and that i should call the next day. I called the following day and was told something similar. I called 2 more times in the next 4 days (i was still in Brazil) until finally i was told to send an email detailing my loss. I did this and have copied the text below (unable to attach). The following day I called via skype to follow up on my email and was told that the item was being kept for me until my next return. I was a little skeptical about this sudden ‘resolution’ of the issue but was assured very emphatically that I had nothing to worry about. On 20 November I arrived at the hotel for a 7 day stay and asked at check-in for the item that I had been assured was being kept for me. I was told the person responsible wouldn’t be there until the next day. I asked the following day (21 November) and they requested that I resend the email. I asked the following 3 days (22, 23, 24 November) with no positive results until on 25 November I receive an email from Victor Pelaez (Setor de Reservas) advising that “…..unfortunately we are unable to locate the items….” This was not a significant monetary loss (less than $20) but it was inconvenient and time-wasting to make repeated phone calls, personal requests and emails over several weeks. If the hotel would have said the first time I called “we’ll check when the person responsible is back at work” and then emailed the exact same response that Victor Palaez sent me on 25 November then everything would have been fine. But incredibly it took nearly 2 months for the hotel to respond! This is very poor management and while in this particular instance there were no serious consequences there could be in the future if this level of incompetence is allowed to continue. I have not done hotel management but have done management consulting (Alexander Proudfoot Co.), have worked as a manager in the mining industry and have a Master in Business Administration. I can recommend and advise on new systems and procedures that will ensure this wasteful inefficient practice does not repeat itself. Please don’t send a “canned” response. Regards William R B. I just stayed there because a friend of mine lived nearby. Otherwise, I would have chosen another hotel, because this one doesn't offer much. Furthermore, you need to upgrade your tv package (shame not having ESPN and MTV) and your toiletries (substandard toilet paper and soap provided).

Just a quick stay, did not check out hotel installations completely. The mattress was horrible. Horrible, thin, very thin. I did not slept well. I traveled a lot and I do not remember sleeping in a worst mattress.
