When arriving at the hotel, no one was at the reception desk. Which can happen of course, but no one was just checking wether someone was there or not. Then, when a person came, I had no time to finish my sentence "we have a reservation for tonight under the name ...", the receptionist interrupted me to say "euhm, yeah but give me your ID please". My parents are coming on a regular basis to this Sofitel so when seeing my name, I was asked if I had visited the hotel before because my last name and my face were not matching the expectation of the receptionist. Anyways, this moment was a bit "rough" and awkward for a 5 star hotel. The room was nice and clean, even though it was instant coffee in the room. Not used to this low quality. In Sofitel it generally is Nespresso machines. For the check-out, the young man was very professional and kind. Different from the check-in. I enjoyed that experience.

Everything was great, clean and nice room with a fantastic bed! The location is good too. Breakfast is ok too but terribly expensive!

I found the facilities at the Sofitel Europe to be excellent. I arrived quite late at night but staff were very accommodating and I was able to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine with a snack. My room was very nice with some nice touches to welcome a guest.

The hotel has been nicely renovated and staff is very nice. However, breakfast was not satisfactory. Service was slow and there were no eggs available. I tried to order, but they did not arrive before I had to run for my meeting. I could not get enough choises for my low carbs diet. And I left the hotel hungry. The good breakfast with many options readily available at all times is one of the criteria, I chose the hotel for.

Stayed for the Bruxelles Marathon weekend - hotel is close to the Parque Cinquantenaire and with a lot of nice restaurants and cafes in the front of the hotel. Hotel is nicely decorated with large rooms - only minus is the lack of proper fitness area and the Spa/Hammam is a little small.

Staff was first rate, room was excellent, breakfast was terrific, location was great - only improvement I can think of is to upgrade the fitness room, which was small and neglected (no clean towels, empty water cooler)

Normally staying in the hotel for business travel. This time I took a short trip with my wife. Congratulations to the staff. They were all very professional, helpful and relaxed. The new Bistro is a success. And thanks to the service-minded deputy director of the hotel, we actually cancelled a reservation at another restaurant and ate in the Bistro instead.

There was a weird smell in the bathroom; not sure why. Also, when I took a shower, the floor got flooded--even though the door was fully closed. I had to use a towel to wipe up the water.
