« Disappointing »

Nice clean rooms, Air conditioning wa not working in our room even though we can hear it but no cold air came through. WiFi also v spotty. When we could get on speed was 1.5mbps.

The hotel is perfectly placed and the staff were friendly. I couldn't believe how poor the internet connection was. Absolutely dreadful.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Interesting room. Window that opened - great! Cooking my own eggs for Breakfast was a little different. but I managed. Would stay again

« Nice hotel, possibly need more staff »

Good location, nice room, nice facilities, nice breakfast. However, when we went down for breakfast, it all felt a bit chaotic, with no apparent shape to the situation and we basically had to figure it out and fend for ourselves. Staff were busy trying to clear tables, replenish cutlery and food etc., but it did appear we came arrived at time of maximum chaos! The other small annoyance I experienced was a lack of information at the hotel. There was no 'standard' information booklet or folder in the room, and thus I couldn't tell what time checkout was etc. This information was possibly on the info screens on the TV, but if so, then I could not find it.

Good location, convenient room, quiet (good soundproofing), OK value for money. Bad smell when we got into the room. Did not really disappear despite opening the window for a long time.

« nice room but very poor sound proofing »

woke up twice in the night from other guests in the corridor slamming their hotel room door. This experience, as well as previous experiences staying in other Novotel locations, leads me to believe that Accor is very cheap with the soundproofing of their Novotel range. I will not book Novotel again for this reason.

When I booked the two rooms online, I chose a rate that was a special offer including breakfast. My confirmation did not include breakfast so I tried to complain online to Novotel, but I could not get the online system to work. On arrival the receptionist confirmed that breakfast was not included. The hotel is well located and the room spacious and clean. However, the room was too hot despite turning the air conditioning down. We did not sleep well. The WiFi did not work well and was non existent in the evening.

Spacious room with very comfortable bed. Quiet Good choice of food in the breakfast buffet. My only negative comment is that I could hear the sound of a slowly dripping water tap in my room but I couldn’t work out where it was coming from

Good size room for families and near the station so you can get a TGV and get to Paris in 70 min for 24€

« Functional hotel, good value for money »

- Room was comfortable and check-in requests were adhered to (high floor, away from elevator) - Toilet had a bad smell which made its use unpleasant. - Breakfast was a bit chaotic on Saturday morning with plates not replenished and tables not cleaned - No glasses in the room, only dispensable coffee cups. Only plastic glasses at breakfast either. Not environmentally friendly - Room cleaning happened too late on Saturday (5.30pm). Room not cleaned at all on Sunday

Last minute business trip to Lille. Needed hotel near station so chose Novotel. Room was a suite @ c £170 so pricey for one person. Did not seem to have single use rooms. Very spacious room with high specification. Breakfast was more continental.
