The hotel was ok, staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was located at the back which is near the railway line. The air conditioning was working so we left the window open which was fine until the trains passed very slowly and loudly. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. No tea/coffee making facilities or water available in the room which was disappointing. The hotel advertises 24 hr snacks available but we were told there was no food Sunday afternoon when we returned to the hotel. There didn’t seem to be much good available for the evening meal either as we were not given a menu, just a list reeled off by the waiter.

all y need is there, dining is also ok, some are apparantly giving negative comments, but one cannot compare this with third-party restaurants, the staff is very friendly, helpfull and fast, the food & drinks are ok, so no complains

Overall OK, but the shower head had to be held by hand because it did could not be fixed at the bar any more and the shower room had an intense sewage stink, depending on the day. Next time I'll ask for another room right away.

I emailed and called several times to check that I was booked in for two nights, I was assured that this was the case. However, on my arrival the person at reception did not know we were staying for two nights. When I reached my room the toilet was running and did not stop. After a few minutes I called reception and we had to change rooms. Surely the state of the room could have been checked before our arrival. The change of rooms made us late for a meeting. Since leaving the hotel I realised I had left something in the room. I phoned the hotel to ask if someone could check and I was told that no-one would be going up to that floor that day and to call the next morning. I found this particularly unhelpful. I emailed the hotel querying the bill and mentioning my lost item and I still have not had a response. The room was clean and comfortable, but other aspects of my visit were not acceptable.

The Ibis hotel is nice for the price. Nothing fancy, the facilities are very basic, but the staff was phenomenal! They were very attentive, always smiling, making a huge effort to understand your needs even if there was a language barrier. They definitely went above and beyond to accommodate my special requests.

My experience at the hotel was bad. This was my second time at a ibis (first, in Seoul, was great). I have no complaints about the accommodation itself, but the personnel did a really bad job. During my stay, there were two people at the desk. I haven't memorized their name but one was male and the other female. My few interactions with the female clerk were pleasant. But I will focus my review on two experiences I had with the male clerk. It happens that my baggage was delayed by my airline and delivered to the hotel. The problem is, I was not communicated of the delivery up to when I asked this person if anything was delivered to me. I was quite surprised that such as simple issue (a delivery) would not be correctly managed by the hotel. I've spent three days without proper clothing while attending an important conference assuming that my baggage had not been delivered. During those days, I've washed my clothes myself in the bathroom and in the last day I went to the mall to purchase clothes. When I asked the clerk when the baggage arrived and he said he didn't know and that there was no way to know. I thought that that was quite strange since someone in the hotel must have received it. Now I'm trying to get a reimbursement from the airline, but I have no idea of when the baggage arrived at the hotel. When I insisted to get such information, the clerk automatically switched his language to French and claimed he couldn't understand what I was saying. The second experience was something I've seen this same person do with other guests. They were checking out before I did and there was some misunderstanding due to their receipts. The clerk became quite impatient due to the issue and started complaining in front of everybody (in French). I have to admit that I'm not a French speaker, but it was very clear that he was complaining. He continued while he went to the back to print a new receipt. These two experiences were definitely the worst I've had in any hotel anywhere in the world. My reason to stay at the hotel is that I was attending a conference with other 2400 people at the centre de congres and this was one of the recommended accommodations. I would definitely have chosen a different hotel if I knew about the quality of the service at this one. If the airline denies my reimbursement claiming my clothes were purchased after my baggage was delivered, I will formally complain to the conference organizers about the service at this hotel.
