It is always a great experience staying at Novotel Vitacura. I have stayed there before also. Firstly, the location is exactly what one needs for the business. It is located in a prime place that connects with the North and south of the city easily. The area is full of restaurant, cafes, bars, malls and a few supercenters also, so all you need is nearby. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. They go out-of-the way to make sure that the guests are happy.

My experience was great, the check in was smooth, the room was clean and lovely. The bed was comfortable, no detail was amiss. The spa was beautiful, the recepcionist although was not very kind, but we had a relaxing massage.

« Great location! »

We chose this hotel because we have relatives in Vitacura and are familiar with the neighborhood. It's not near the major tourist attractions but it is in a very nice, safe area, walking distance to many restaurants and boutiques (important because Santiago has a huge traffic problem). Also walking distance to the metro, crowded but an efficient way to get out of the neighborhood when the traffic is gridlock. The rooms are typical Novotel, not fancy but efficiently appointed. The hotel was quiet and we slept well. 'My only complaint would be to update the rooms with a few more outlets to charge electronics. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. All in all excellent value.

« Unexpected 20% additional tax »

I came to the hotel for the UNICEF / CEPAL event, with a negociated rate, as part of the logistic organizing team from UNICEF. Nevertheless, I have been charged 20% additional tax because I haven't been given the entrance form at the Migration desk at the airport, when I had the entry stamp in my UNLP (United Nations Laissez-Passer). This problem happened for several colleagues who didn't receive the entrance form, nevertheless the Novotel didn't want to recognize the stamp in passport when Hotel NOI did, for example.
