The rooms were small and there was grime in the bathroom. Carpets in the corridor were stained and dirty. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Ibis at Lorient near the station is exactly what we needed. Handy to rail and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient all through the hotel and restaurant. The breakfast was well priced and presented a nice choice. Ibis rooms are small and not air conditioned so you just have to remember that this is a 3 star not a 5 star property. Easy walk into the centre of the city with a good choice on cafes/bars once you are there.

The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the pressure in the shower was quite low. Breakfast was copious and generally very good. The toaster was a bit temperamental. Had a Japanese Sauna - super! As I was there during the festival it was a bit noisy but to be expected.

We have frequently used this hotel, so know what to expect. Staff our courteous and helpful - even walking to the lift to press the button for us, as our hands were full. The rooms are small and basic, but fine for what we want - an overnight stay before catching the train. Only real negative was that our room wasn't ready, although admittedly we were quite early. Worse was that were then told that it had been prepared and given the key , in fact it was still being cleaned and beds made up.

I expected a room with a double bed and a single bed - not a bed tucked under a shelf. A minumum of space to move without having to synchronize our mouvements in and out of room! All and all far too small for a ibis hotel but suitable for a budget hotel.

We could also had booked the ibis budget for less money, this is definitely not IBIS STYLES worth! Sleep for work quite a lot in ibis hotels but this was privately and far below standard!
