« Amazing location, good service, bad room »

Good space in the room, very good service. Furniture was very tired, very loud noise daily throughout the day as building a room nearby? Pool was quiet, sauna was not turned on, not sure why? Breakfast was good. Public areas such as lobby and breakfast room were very tastefully decorated, only wish the rooms were to the same standard.

I'm really sorry about the loud noise due to the emergency infrastructure reform during your stay, it could not be postponed and as it was an emergency we were not able to inform customers in advance. Regarding the sauna it is turned on as guests request, and the rooms we are working to renovated all of them in the future, at the moment we have few redecorated at the Superior Apartment Category. The front desk staff at the hotel provided exceptional service which made our stay so enjoyable. They gave great advice about getting around and helped make online bookings for tourist attractions. Every one who helped us had a wonderful smile and nothing was too hard. We received an upgrade on check in which made it very special as we were also celebrating my husband's birthday while we were there. We used the free voucher for stand up paddle boarding and loved it as well as enjoying the in-room coffee machine! All the extra special touches meant that our stay was so easy, nothing to worry about!

We had a lovely stay and were welcomed by the staff. They were eager to help and assist with our request. Overall great stay, but money-quality value was a bit skew. Our 'cob' room or coverage room was in need for some fixing and repairing. Otherwise good stay.

I believe they could improve a few things such as the bathroom there's a few maintenance things to do to, the curtains are very old and dirty specially in the bedroom and on the side of the beds was dusty. Cleaning at the bathroom wasn't great, I've found a hair on the box.

The experience there was great. Room wasn´t new, but it was clean and tidy. The hotel was located at a perfect place and breakfast was awesome. Definitely worth the money and I have been recommending it everyone.

« Great location, nice suites; no complimentary water bottles »

I'm a big fan of Mecure hotels. This location is particularly well appointed. My only disappointment was that water bottles were not provided. A special kind of tea was provided instead. The pool is enjoyable, but only open until 5 p.m. each day! The hotel is in between Copacabana (which has some of the best services) and Ipanema (the best beach, in my opinion). WARNING: Be very disciplined in making sure you have the credit card you reserved with for your check-in. Even if you purchased directly on the Accor website, it is an absolute requirement to show the card or a statement proving you have control over it. This requirement is specific to this location; many other Accord properties in Brazil do not require this.

Very good experience. Amazing breakfast. Big rooms. The only bad thing was the cover of the mattress. It is way too small so that whenever you turn around you end up on the bare mattress: disgusting.

« Good place to stay in Rio »

The Hotel is very good, it was above my expectation. It is located between Copacabana and Ipanema two of the best beach in the city. Several food options around and transportation options. I stay in their revamped room, so when check in asked for the revamped ones. You should try the stand up paddle; the hotel gave us 30 min voucher; it was a funny activity.

I stayed two nights at the Mercure Rio de Janeiro Arpoador Hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to me, as I was new to Rio and could not speak Portuguese. They were very helpful with my questions and requests. They went above and beyond expectations to take care of my luggage while my flight was delayed. The hotel is also very conveniently located between Ipanema and Copacabana beach. I will definitely stay here again when in Rio.

« Beyond expectation, warm welcoming stay »

My family and I were very happy with the service received from your hotel. It started first before our arrival date, our inquiry emails were well responded. I have a baby with me which need special attention, and her food needs to be brought from our original country. We need a freezer to keep her food for the whole period of stay. The hotel provides picture of the freezer size for different types of room, so that I can choose to upgrade if I want. There are multiple other occasions, which I felt that your customer service and availability have improved tremendously. The front desk is always welcoming, and helped us in whatever we need throughout our stay. I have to say thank you to Ms. Ludmila that helped us from the time of check-in, providing direction and suggestions to go around Rio, and other daily needs like the nearest supermarket, drugstore, etc. Another thing that impressed me is that, even though the swimming pool is closed throughout the period of our stay. We were provided with alternative to go to the other nearest hotel to use their swimming pool. This is a good idea of the hotel, to make sure that amenities are provided per stated. Overall experience, we were very happy with the stay. It makes our vacation pleasant, and stress-free. Lastly, thank you to Ms. Natalia too that responded well to all our requests in emails even before our arrival in the hotel.
