I generally stay at your hotel for at least ten nights a year over many years. I arrive Sunday morning, this trip at 9:30 AM. I have always been able to enter a room to shower after the flight from the US. I was charged this trip for a half day.I do not understand why I should be charged for two and one-half hours in what was clearly an empty room. Also, Tuesday morning, there was a harsh chemical smell from the water. I mentioned this at checkout, and that I used a water bottle because I could not trust that water to brush my teeth. I was told there had been maintenance. They charged me for the water. You should know I am writing this from a competitor hotel, as I am staying Wednesday and Thursday in Campinas. For the same price, I found a better room, free breakfast, and a staff even in the restaurant that speak English. I always was relatively happy with your hotel, but by the charges I mention above, felt forced to switch, and found a better offer. Hope it was worth it to you. I do appreciate many of the employees as hard working.

Nothing much to write. Some deviation in break fast should be provided as it was observed that it is the same menu all days and same type of stuff. A kettle for boiling water for drinking should be provided in the room.

Awful, Hotel personnel didn´t acknowledge by any means my loyalty. Room assgined was average to low in maintenance: bathroon paint with some scratches. Bath screen leaking after shower. Hygienic shower leaking a lot, reported in the front desk for repair, an the only thing that they did was closing de water tap. The worst of all was the bed: smelling like a lion cage... pillows and sheets. really discusting. Never go again to this one

Mercure in Campinas is a nice hotel, with beautiful rooms and clean spaces. The food is well prepared, and the breakfast buffet is a must. However, the lines for check in and check out tend to be enormous, because there are very few people at the reception and the procedure is long. Overall, the experience was good and I recommend staying with them!

Little disappointing

I stay at the Mercure Campinas since one year already, and it is worsening its level little by little. Breakfast is just the same, never changes, and rooms are aging. But the real worse is the internet, which simply will not let you work. Just terrible for a hotel meant for business. The only positive is the attentive staff.

rooms confortable, very good localization, near downtown and easy access to main highways, excellent breakfast. The pool in the roof is not warmed, that means it is useless for long period in the winter and there is no bar service in this roof.

Why paying a premium for Mercure when you have a better service with Ibis ?

Hello, I'm used to accor hotels. I very often go to ibis in France that in my opinion presents an excellent price / quality ratio. This time i decided to pay the premium and go to Mercure instead. I'm clearly dissatisfied. Here are the reasons : - I did the online check-in before arriving but no special lane was planed for the "already checked-in client". On top of that, i still had to fill some forms and it took a long time to the front office employee to pass again my credit card (already filled during the check-in online so what's the point ?) and to enventually give me my room key. - In the online check-in form i asked to get a quiet room, i was given a room facing the highway... - In order to use the elevator, we need to use our room card. The sensor was not working properly and it was needed 3 , 4, 5 or more trials to make it work. very frustrating - Regarding the breakfast : The "warm" dishes in the restaurant were put on a warming plate with a minimum heating power. Everything was cold, two mornings in a row. - Regarding the restaurant : too much heavy and junk food on the menu. What about more salads ? Every dish doesn't have to come with a pound of cream, a pound of cheese and two pounds of meat ! - Regarding the service at the restaurant : a disaster ! Most of the time we were just several clients to be served at the same time but it was so slow ! Taking ages to get the dish to arrive and what is really annoying is that the staff is not focusing at all. I had several times to get up to go get them and ask something. - The wifi in my room was barely working I was happy to try a level above ibis among accor hotels group but it's a pure disapointment. I don't know if it is this hotel in particular, but i don't really want to try again Mercure Hotel.
