Although they have not credited this stay in my account, the hotel shows great potential to welcome guests all over the world. My family and I spent one night at the room that was incredibly comfortable.

« Should be better »

We chose Mercury expecting a better experience than a economic business hotel but it was not true. The bedroom was bigger them a traditional Ibis budget but the amenities were not worth to be paid. One exemple of it was the hygiene set, including the towels...It was for one person only. Breakfast was too simple...

I was allocated to this town in the Christmas Eve season. I did expecting some messy and crowded reception. Nevertheless I found the old reliable Accor Mercure São José friendly and kind service.

The rooms are very clean, good size. Excellent Wifi. The breakfast is a huge spread with tons of breads, pastries, and fresh fruit. A few hot items on warmers. Great omelettes can also be ordered and this is all complementary.

« Satisfied but expected a bit more of the apartment »

I had a pleasant stay but I expexted more from a Deluxe apartment. The bed was ok but the pillows were terrible. The air conditoner was old and noisy. And the shower had a problem which water would fall from it from time to time even though the tap was closed really well.

« Experience here was not bad. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. »

Unfortunately on day 1 the air conditioning in my room wasn't working, so my room was very warm and I had difficulty sleeping. It was fixed the next day however so that help. Also the pickup and drop-off situation in the front of the hotel is difficult. For some reason areas of the front are blocked, preventing smooth flow and waiting for pickup and drop-off drivers. Also for some reason the gym was closed both days during my stay and the front desk told me it was because the hotel was very busy, I did not really understand the answer.

I have stayed several times at Mercure in SJC and at this time it was not different: overall I would rate it as very good considering just for 1(one) night….areas for possible improvement : fitness area, with some more equipment and more flexibility to watch your favorite tv channel at the restaurant.

Overall good experience with a couple of downsides: 1. there was a bad small in the bath area, probably coming from the toilets; 2. No small shower neither in the bathtub nor in shower - not very practical, especially if you do not wan to put water in your hair 3. Once I ordered dinner in the restaurant and my order was forgotten. After 40 minutes of waiting I went up to my room, and the dinner was brought in my room
