« Rooms are good let down by a couple of little things »

Rooms are good let down by a couple of little things: 1. Unclear courtesy bus instructions from the hotel website, Taxis were not interested in taking me to the hotel and I ended up paying excessive fee to get to the hotel. 2. I ate dinner at the restaurant and could not charge the bill to my room at first but after some perseverance some was able to work it out.

« Simple hotel near airport »

Hard to find the place at night. Very hard to find available parking for car at night. Quick and friendly check-in. Problem with the invoice at check out. Company name is not stored in system and one of the invoice was not sent by email Room is good size.

I recently had a short stay in between flights. The online check in was a plus, as I arrived later then expected, and I went through the actual check in I’m a couple of minutes. The service was good, may be a bit less impersonal . The room was clean and nice. The bathroom was clean. The carpet of the corridor had a slight off odour.

It's about 15 minutes drive from the Airport so we caught a taxi. He wouldn't use the metre so we agreed on 10EU. The hotel has a shuttle bus for 3EU per person but how do you know where and when to meet the bus? A bit more advice from the hotel would be useful. The hotel is in an area where there are secera other hotels and nothing much else. Fortunately, the hotel restaurant was good. Rooms are spartan but comfortable.

« Hotel nice, but the air condition being turn off after 1:00 am »

We arrive at the hotel around 11:00pm, try to sleep around 12:30 and found not able to breath so wake up at 1:30am . We check out at 4:00am for the early flight. Told the staff and he ask me why not calling him regarding the air condition. My feeling is you should know the air condition should work properly when have client stay inside the room , and we are not able to change our room since we only sleep for 2-3 hours.

« Customer service at desk needs improvement »

Needed an overnight stay at Ibis Malpensa Airport before a morning flight to the U.S. . The facilities were fine: clean, comfortable bed and bathroom. The unsatisfactory part came when I was unable to raise the temperature in the frigid room and was told that the thermostat adjustment was unavailable, but that a blanket could be provided at the desk. As there had been a problem with a cancelled flight with unexpected guests, it was impossible to get through to the reception area downstairs, even after 5 attempts in person.. Later I did get to the desk and the room number was taken for blanket delivery. This never happened. At about 1 am, I went down in my nightclothes and a down jacket which I had been trying to sleep in and was finally given the blankets ..with a wake up call for 5 a,m, So, I was unable to get to sleep. The next morning I voiced a complaint to the young man with glasses and was given a very cold and defensive reply that he never got the calls, acting as If I was personally blaming him., which I was not. No apology. This did upset me, the attitude after a cold sleepless night. A different tone of voice and attitude would have made a difference.

« good alternative near malpensa airport »

Good points: reservation on line, very good staff ingeneral restaurant/checkin, size and cleaning of room/bathroom, transfer to airport. Bad points: mold in the shower Suggestions: 1) implement a internet voice phone trough whatsapp ou facebook messenger, since when arriving from abroad at the airport passengers many times don't have telephone connection avaiable to call the hotel, or ask for a transfer, but usually have the airport wi-fi. 2) have some hygene kits avaiable for sale on the desk with shower amenities( showercap, conditioner),dental ( toothpaste, tootbrush,floss) because many times clients are between flights and don't have them on their carry on luggage.

It was avarage Ibis standard. The lockation is good. Working shutle servise with airport. Ticket cost is 3 EUR. The portsions in Ibis kitchen are quite small.

« Noisy and too often the phrase its not possible was used »

First night we had a fire alarm in the early hours because someone had been smoking in a room. OK these things do happen but there then followed a party outside the front door of the hotel which was very noisy and seemed to go on for a long time. Second night a coach turned up about 4.00am and kept his engine running for about 30 minutes making significant noise. I had prebooked and paid for the accommodation at the time of making the booking. When we arrived. I presented a credit card that was pre-authorised to cover any expenditure in the hotel. After our evening meal I requested that the bill be charged to the room. Its not possible was the response!. So I went to reception and after a short conversation the bill was charged to the room. I then went to the bar and requested a few drinks and asked that the bill be charged to the room. Its not possible was the response!. I went to reception and the bill was charged to the room. We had not prepaid for breakfast and when I requested that the bill for breakfast be charged to the room you guess!! Its not possible was the response. Once again I went to reception and the bill was charged to the room !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why when you ask for anything is the response always - Its not possible !!!

« What I was looking for »

The hotel was what I expected, since I have stayed at an IBIS before. It was nothing fancy but was basic and clean and close to the airport, which is exactly what I wanted. The in-house restaurant was convenient, as was the bar. The only problem we had was a non-working heater in our room. We had to call several times to get someone to come look at it. The first person flipped it on and off several times and pronounced it fixed. It was not. The second person managed to get it working correctly for us. Overall, I would stay here again. The front desk people were very friendly and accomodating.
