The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is so good, if it can provide different kinds of fruit ,such as pineapple, watermelon are even better. The staff are helpful , but check in is not efficient. I stayed in your hotel for six nights, but there was no cleaning the room on the first night , no cleaned the floor and bathroom. I just found that the dirty towels were still on the bathroom floor. and also no gave me new towels .

« The best hotel staff ever!!! »

The hotel is a typical IBIS! BUT nevly renovated! Rooms were perfectly clean and Cody! Not a five star, but all staff were more than helpful and better than any five star experience I've ever had!!! We arrived with three kids, two adults and two dogs! We had a roof top box which would not allow us to go into the hotel garage.... we were helped getting the thing off the car, it got stored for free, and taken out again! We were offered help to put it back up once we were departing but we were already embarrassed by all the warm service we had received! We had three days of a throughout "home experience " that I do recommend to anyone using Accor normally not to fear booking IBIS when you unusually take Novotel or above...! Great experience!!!! A warm hello and thank you!!!!! You're doing a great job and a great breakfast!!! We will come back!!! Warmest regards from Anna, Charlotte and Leander with Leila and Gordon as much as our Dogs Abby and Anton.

Ibis Amsterdam west is a lovely and well situated hotel. Very clean environment. Transportation which the most important when visiting Amsterdam is right at the door step....about 2 minutes to bus stop then straight to Sloterdijk train/metro station. The only criticism is their breakfast which is not really up to standard and no toaster to make a toast so most things are pretty cold. But overall considering the price, its satisfying. Finally staff are very friendly both receptionists, cleaners especially. I will definitely visit again.

Very clean and pleasant aesthetic. Lovely and helpfully staff. However a bit of a mix up of rooms when booking through booking.com, and the breakfast for €16 was a little disappointing.

Booked 3 triple rooms and a double room with breakfast included in room rate through booking.com. Was not made aware I had to stipulate how many adults were in the room, and so only 1 breakfast per room per night was paid for - which I think is a bit of a con, considering when you pay for a triple room you automatically assume that's for 3 people and not 1!! This was managed by allowing us to accumulate our breakfast tickets so that all 10 guests could eat together for 1 day which was appreciated, but still annoyed that this wasn't made clear in the beginning. Breakfast itself was satisfactory, would pay the €16 for this however. An array of both cold and hot foods but didn't seem to have a toaster or sausages? Rooms were nicely decorated and very clean, however noticed there is little storage space, especially if there are 3 people in the room - lived out of our suitcase for the duration of our stay. Staff often appeared very moody with us, no smiles or good mornings/evenings, when we asked if we could store our luggage in the luggage room we got a sharp 'if there's space' response, luckily there was however we didn't receive any confirmation/receipt to say we had stored our luggage away (we did see another pair of guests having tags put on their luggage) - when we enquiried about this the response we got again was very sharp and short 'I'm going to tag them later, and it's left at your own risk anyway' - we received a tiny piece of card that wouldn't have suggested anything and none of our bags were tagged. Overall, the stay was satisfactory. The hotel was always clean, as were our rooms and we slept comfortably. Just a shame the staff were not as pleasant as we hoped, and that there was an issue with the booking/breakfasts.

Unfortunately, I wasn't very please with my stay for a few reasons. One reason, was that a member of staff was very rude to me on my arrival at the check in desk, I believe she was stressed, but this is not an excuse to treat a customer badly. In the hotel industry a high level of customer service should always be maintained. Another issue, was that I was given a room that had not been cleaned since the previous guests! I was very shocked and not pleased especially after just having a member of staff be rude to me previous to that. However, this issue was sorted and I was moved to a different room, but I do believe the staff should have been apologetic. I did not file a complaint, so this is why I am writing this now. Overall, this made my opinion of IBIS not very positive. It's so so important to me, that as a customer, you are treated well by every member of staff. I am not a rude or argumentative customer, therefore, I especially don't like to be treated badly, when I treat people nicely. I hope that this review, is used to emphasize to staff members that customer service should always been maintained.

« the stay at the hotel was very good and convenient »

generally spekaing it was a very good experience to stay at your hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. the only issue i had is with my my first stay(18.7-20.7) when i specifically booked a twin room with 2 single beds but only got the regular double with 1 bed. as i was travelling with another friend we didn't want to share 1 bed but at least the staff was helpful and we got 2 separate blankets which was an ok interim solution to this. in the second stay (24.7) for 1 night it was all ok .

I found the staff very rude and the rooms very small.. also the beds were not made properly the whole stay, sheets not changed at all. We had 3 people in our room we only got given 2 towels everyday. Breakfast was appalling how the staff treated the guests told to get back not please wait or any type of politeness. Resturant was closed on Friday night of all night, very bad overall experience.
