No elevator, small rooms, poor lighting dissatisfying experience.

We were in too 208. The people staying in room 220 made a sleep in the night impossible. For a long time we thought the noise came from outside the hotel. Then at 4 in the night when we watched, we saw it was people in room 220 smoking in the window. When I went to their room to ask if they wanted to be quiet I saw 2 girls leaving the room, not interested in anything I had to say. They walked out and stepped into a car next to the entrance. The car stayed there and had been standing there (on the place for invalids). The whole scene gave me the idea the hotel is being used by prostitutes. Next to it being illegal in France have they been ruining our night in the hotel. The hallway where their room was, was completely filled with the scent of tobacco.

Hotel under one star, old rooms, bath under any criticism of dirty and moldy.The price for this hotel should be 5 euro / night.It's the worst and weakest hotel in the whole area of Lille.It is the only Accor hotel with such an old and moldy bathroom.

The price was low but the quality of the interior and cleaning of the room was accordingly. The bed was a bit hard. When I compare this hotel with for example Ibis budget in Saarbrücken Germany, it is a complete different level of quality and cleaning of the room. I was expecting at least the same level.

An easy & friendly sign-in plus a pleasant, quiet and comfortable one night stay.

A very friendly and helpful greeting and sign-in by a very nice young woman whose English was very good. We spent a comfortable evening in our room and followed by a peaceful night's sleep. This was the first time that we have used Ibis Budget - we have always used F1 in the past. In the future we will always try to use Ibis Budget - as long as there is one conveniently located on or near our route.

Good, clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful.

We continually had problems with the key card not working. As we had a room on the top floor, it was frustrating having to keep running up and down the stairs for the reception to reset the key code (as there was no lift)!

We stayed for 5 days with 2 persons. Rooms are decent and clean! but don't forget to vacuum under the bed!!. At the first day we had 1 set of towels, so we thought that was normal. Second day: we had no towels, so i went to the reception and asked for it myself and got the towels right away (2 sets yay!). Last day: Was extremely noisy (overall stay: thin walls and noisy). A volleyball team of young boys and girls landed. Screaming, running around the hallways and slamming the doors. Went to say something about it to the reception. And the reception reacted and did something about it. So overall the stay could be better, but it's really not that bad. Lille itself (and the surroundings) the hotel and area, are like a garbage waste station. Garbage and waste everywhere... smell of piss on the parking lot. But thats probably more a government issue. The personal we spoke in the hotel, speak decent English. So thats a big thumbs up. Overall i would rate it 6.5. The hotel itself is really not bad, it's just bad situated.

Usual simple accommodation, although very noisy people in near rooms, looked like they were lving there, not guests and difficult to sleep

Very small, dirty (e.g. sticky dust on loo roll holder and radiator, sticky floor), squeaky bed (didn't have that in an IBIS budget before) and really awful coffee for breakfast (I normally don't mind bad coffee, but really couldn't finish that one!).

Emphasis on the word Budget. You get TV, wifi, parking, a bed, toilet and shower. There is only one electrical outlet in the room and no outlet in the bathroom. The light switches are by the front door and none by the bed. The mattress is extremely hard and lumpy. Sheets are like a burlap bag. We had to remove the interior of the duvet and use it as cushioning on the bed. The room was warm so the duvet was not needed. Room was small but quiet and clean. This is good if you just want a place to rest your head and not stay for more than a night. We would stay again but I would prefer more luxurious accommodations. It was definitely good value.

One big problem is the wifi / Internet that keeps dropping the link, there is some technical problem with it. I have tried two PCs and all the browsers, all the same. Fixing that would be really good. Otherwise hotel is fine, clean well run you get what you pay for.
