« Great location, value for money. »

The room was simple, but cozy and tidy, bed comfortable. It had everything one needs for a short stay, especially if travelling for leisure and spending most of the time out in the city. That brings me to my favourite thing about this hotel - its location. For me it was perfect, as I always wanted to explore the City of London on foot. The hotel is located literally around the corner from Brick Lane - hip and trendy location, Old Spitalfields creative market with great places to have breakfast at is just five mins away. Bank area with all its history, architecture and gorgeous people is just some twenty minutes away, just as the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are. Loved it.

« Ideal location for the markets! »

We stayed at this hotel for one night in order to attend an event at the London Stadium. Aldgate East Underground Station is just around the corner, making travelling very easy. It is in very easy walking distance to Petticoat Lane, Spittlefields and Brick Lane. Our room was small but comfortable. We had no problems at all with check-in which was swift and uncomplicated, checkout was even quicker! We did not have breakfast and so we cannot comment on that, however we did get our own from the supermarket which is right next door.

I always stay here on a trip to London, it's near Liverpool street station so it's handy when you get off the stanstead express. It's also right beside Aldgate East station, which is great for zipping about on the tube. It's a lovely clean hotel, everything seems brand new in it, the rooms are really nicely decorated and have everything you need. I've stayed in various different hotels in London over the years, but since I've started staying here, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

« Where is the counter? »

Ibis continues to have a good value for money, mainly for the location. But, I did not like the new model of reception: some foreign teenagers with cell phones on hand doing check-in and check-out, some without speaking or understanding English. I missed the counter, more trained and experienced staff, speaking clear English, fundamental thing for me that I am not native speaker.

« New system a disaster »

Checkout appalling promised invoice by email - nothing received have phoned 3 times since to get one still nothing received. New restaurant system meant got wrong food. I was with three other independent business men and we ALL had issues with trying to get food. Absolute meltdown in this place with staff blaming a new it system. Recommend eat elsewhere and indeed stay elsewhere until they sort this shambles.

I am a regular stayer at this hotel which has a great location, rooms are fine and breakfast is good. However, on my last stay, there was no hot water at 8.00 am and TV did not work. Due to need to book out early and get breakfast, I could not report this until booking out. The staff member stated that other guests had reported similar water problems, said he would report it, but seemed to think it was something to be put up with rather than put right.

First issue was that online check in did not work. At the hotel in the evening there was only one person to trying to survive with the people check ins. Then the second person appeared and handled our check in. We got the room key, but it did not work... she had to activate the key room second time. Anyway the room was nice and clean.

First, the hotel staff is handing over our luggage to foreign people. We got keys to a room where people lived. We found what we think is blood on the quilt. The staff thinks it's from the dry cleaner.

This was our 4th stay at the hotel. We find it really convenient and well priced. My only niggle would be that we pay in advance for late checkout (it's just £10 and we find it easier than using left luggage at the station), but the doorkeys can't cope with this arrangement - when we come back to collect our bags the doorkeys have always stopped working so you have to faff around getting that resolved before you can get back into the room. We pay for late check out, we always check that it's recorded on our reservation when we check in, so why can't the keys be set up appropriately from the word go?

This is about the fourth time we have stayed here and yet again not been disappointed. Very pleasant staff and comfortable rooms. Being just around the corner from the tube station make it the perfect location for exploring London. Several bars and restaurants are also within walking distance.

The rooms were a little on the small side compared to US standards, but they were comfortable and clean. The staff was amazing. Quick check-in and check-out. Had a couple issues with out key card and they offered to bring the programming computer up to the room so I would have to walk back down if it didn't work again.

A delightful moment back in London. A hotel week placed to go visit the City, next to everything. The crew is amazing et very king. We had a great time celebrating Christmas with them. The breakfast is really something with all sort of delicious food !

Friendly staff, check-in process easy and efficient. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. Location is good, within walking distance to Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane and Boxpark. The use of the Tube is also easy to get everywhere, very central. Aldgate East Station is literally a 3-minutes walk from the hotel. Room was modern and bed comfy, good shower too. Hotel was great value for money, modern decor.

Great location. Great hotel. My only criticism is the communications. The booking confirmation combined my name with my partners. The hotel had my name and this email was in my partners name. Just slightly unnerving that there might be confusion at check in.

This was supposed to be a more expensive new 'sweet room'. I had one tiny towel for a 2 night stay, super thin no thicker than a tea towel ?. Nothing sweet about that? Rooms very warm. Keep your window open during the day
