« I was given two rooms with no ventilation right in the hottest day in summer. »

The experience of my stay was not good. I had a late check in at 6pm on 7 Aug 2018 and I was given 2 rooms with the air vents not working. It was a hot summer day. As I had informed the hotel of my late check in, I would expect the hotel to ensure that the air vents were working before allotting the rooms to me. I had ordered for 2 rooms. Although i was given a room replacement afterwards, i was totally exhausted after the whole incidence and disrupted my travel plan for that day. Despite ibis Budget is a budget hotel, the lack of paying attention to details like this makes me wonder if Accor is as good a hotel chain as it claims to be.

Got to 6th floor exhausted, fighting my way to open the door . As I could not open it I went back to reception. I said my key is not working and there’s no phone in the hall so I could ring reception. I was abruptly told it’s my phone who demagnetised the key and it’s a budget hotel, it’s written on the site. I played down the whole issue. This attitude is utterly unacceptable specially the tone of voice

The first thing I noticed was how warm the room was, but knew this after reading reviews. I had hoped I would be able to get an electric fan from reception but was disappointed. So we had to leave the big window open to allow as much air in, but in doing so, a strong pungent smell of smoked weed came through. So had to close the windows. Also I reacted to the bed sheets initially which affected my sleep. On the up side, the other facilities were nice. I liked the shower room and the provided soap and towels. The layout of the room was nice and practical.

It is in a good location near metro so great for getting about. Automatic door closers ‘slammed’ the door shut so at times noisy. During one of the hottest periods in Paris the one size fits all air conditioning system was completely useless making the rooms and corridors unbearable with the heat. Very good wifi

« Fine place, good location, odd bathroom »

Clean, bed comfortable. Room quiet but elevator squealed loudly. Technician was there, but it was not fixed during my stay. Odd bath style, with shower opening into the room and a shower door that leaks. Toilet stall has a motion-activated light that kept turning off while in use. Breakfast good and good value. Staff very helpful.

The hotel locate in a good position, near supermarket, restaurants, metro and other service. The best thing is friendly staff but the hotel basic condition is really bad. Broken window, small room and no air conditioner.

« Good value for the money spent »

Our stay was very good and we are conscious it was a budget hotel, differently from other Ibis we have stayed before. We try to stay at others, not Budget anymore. In the summer the air conditioning is too week, but the location and breakfast was very good. I think the receptionist (men) should be more polite, despite a woman there was very nice. One last word. Thanks to Mr. Mamudo. Evey day we were at Ibis La Villete Mr. Mamudo welcomed us and all others guest with a large smile and words of welcome. If I live in Paris, I would bring him to work with me. Congratulations to him and his service, all the time cleaning the tables, helping customers and been gently. A kind of worker all companies need and want.

It wasn't the best stay i have done for my vacations. The room lacked even water or kettle facilities which could make day for a guest. No intercom or phone to connect with the Reception for any support/ help.
