« Good location »

Location was right beside the U-Bahn, one stop from Hamburg Hbf. The hotel was a bid odd, looking like a converted apartment block. Check in staff were welcoming and friendly, but the check-in desk was an extension of the bar, which in itself was a bit cold and soulless. The rooms were large, but had a weird sliding reed divider to separate the sofa area from the bed. Bathrooms were functional, but by no means memorable. Breakfast was poor, the hot items were overcooked and scarce, certainly not good value for the price paid. I would put this hotel in the Ibis category, but not up to the standard I’ve come to expect from Novotel.

I know it says check in was at 3pm but very disappointed that we had to wait until just after 3 as we had an appointment at 4. There was a fire alarm earlier and it was clear the hotel wasn't busy at that time so again puzzled as to why we had to wait.

« Highly recommended would stay again. »

Great location, easy access to public transport system. Friendly helpful and efficient staff, could not ask for more. Hotel was well presented and clean. Toilet and bathroom design a bit unusual but extremely clean. Very satisfied with our stay.

« Too hot water and uncompetent staff »

Unfortunately we have some issue with the water!! The normal cold water in our room was boiling hot and we almost burn our skin at the shower and even at the sink too!! One girl at the reception unfortunately not really competent, we told her the problem and she just told us Oohh ok. I will ask the maintenance but now i cannot do anything. And saying “what should i do??” Unfortunately, I think i talked with the same person before i booked this hotel and asked for the parking spot. As we are using bigger/ higher car than normal, so we asked if we can park somewhere close. She just simply replied “i dont know”. And not even bother to ask her colleague. I dont know is the only answer she gave us! Too bad!! Luckily I called the Novotel neighbourgh close to this hotel and the staff there really helpful!! But unfortunately since they dont have room for 3persons so i booked this Novotel with the uncompetent staff. On the other hand, when we arrived the girl behind the reception was friendly so check in was good

The 17th floor room was fabulous. Only two small issues -cooling was not appropriate due to thermostat - the gym is just similarl to the room with no space nor equipment/weights Hence staying at other Novotel next week Thanks, GR

I am very often in Hamburg and also often book the novotel suits hotel, but the hotel became worse. Last week slow or no internet was available, the heating does not function, makes crazy noises and does not heat.

I chose the hotel as it is ideally located a short walk from Berliner Tor station which is good for access to both work and the airport. The early start breakfast at 6:00 am is very useful. I found the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

« Great hotel for exploring Hamburg »

Check-in was fast and staff friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, yoghurt, bread, eggs, cereal, cakes, pastries, hot breakfast options and tea/coffee. The hotel is located next to underground station and 5 minutes away from station to airport so very handy for exploring Hamburg via public transport. Only downside was the gym which was very small, had limit and broken equipment. Had a very enjoyable stay and would stay again.
