« Perfect for a stay in Madrid »

Not fancy, but very clean and practical. There was a large grocery store next door that sold very reasonable groceries and prepared salads. Great restaurants on the main square. Metro just a few blocks away. Airport shuttle.

The Ibis hotels in Spain really understand guest service and Ibis Aeropuerto is a great hotel to stay. I arrived from Seville via train (Renfe) to terminal 4 and was picked up by the shuttle bus to the hotel. (I did wait for an hour for the shuttle bus) Check in was quick, the rooms are really clean and I was given a quiet room away from the elevator. I did assume there would be a kettle ( I travel with my own tea) but unfortunately this is not the case. It is a shame as in my conversation with most travellers., we love to have a cup of tea first thing without having to be dressed and go down stairs. Anyway the staff were very helpful and I really enjoyed the breakfasts. The only thing lacking was tourist information - there was no stand with maps nor any offered at the reception desk. Ok if you are leaving Madrid but as an incoming tourist I had no idea where the Metro was to go into central Madrid. Please note if you are leaving on an early flight, there is no shuttle before 6.00am. My friends and I actually walked to terminal 2 (at 4.30am) the streets are lit - if you know the way, it was a quick 10 minute walk.

I was pleasantly surprised this this hotel. I was expecting a very simplistic hotel with just "a bed to stay in for the night". The hotel was spacious, the room was big and comfortable and the staff was great.

Concerning Tourist information , you are right , we are not used to be very explicit. The hotel is modern and nice, the room was spacious and comfy. The receptionist that was there when I arrived in the evening was helpful and very nice. I cannot say the same about the one that was there in the morning. The queue system for the airport transfers could be better organised just by having a list. For me, the breakfast isn't worth what it costs, and it is only 7.95€, but the quality of the food is low (the Spanish omelette was awful), coffee is really bad. I would not pay again for it. The rest was great, specoally the very comfortable bed and pillows.

The bed was good. We slept ok, but the room was extremely little, the TV didn’t work very well and the AC made a lot of noise.

Perfect for a night to stay when in transit. The shuttle service was great, especially the extra mile going from the staff on return to the airport. The shuttle was full so they gave as a free ride with a taxi....exceptional service!!!!! Staff was very friendly, room was very pleasant, breakfast offered was of good quality. Hope to come back soon. Would definitely recommend it for a stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful....more so than any other hotels we stayed at in Spain! The room was comfortable although the bathroom was spartan. Extra towels or hand towels would have been appreciated as well as extra hooks for hanging clothes or toiletry bag.

Standard IBIS hotel.. Staff friendly, Breakfast was good value. Many shmall shops around, in walking distance., but they all closed over the weekend. After a terrible journey we arrived at about 2 AM in the hotel, without suitcases, exhausted. The crew helped us with some toilet articles and refreshments. We were very grateful and slept wonderful therafter

Stayed at the hotel overnight to catch connecting flight the following morning the hotel was clean the staff helpful had a shuttle bus to and from hotel and the breakfast was nice. For the price was well worth the money. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was perfect for my needs; and overnight before a morning international flight. The staff was professional and pleasant. The room was a bit spartan, but more than enough for my needs. The shower was the nicest I used during my time in Spain.

I had an overnight stay before my flight. Checking was fast and the room was comfortable and super clean. The highlight was the staff!! Very happy with the hotel and staff. Only grips is that it is very difficult to figure out where the shuttle bus stops at the airport. Particularly after midnight. I would really have liked a schedule or something on the accor hotel website. Anyways, if you get stuck at the airport, and don't want to get ripped off by a driver that charges 20-30 euro for a 2 minute trip, take the metro to Bahajas and walk the 300 meter from the metro station to the hotel.

« Quiet and practical airport hotel »

For being as large as it is and as close to the airport as it is, it was a quiet night before a morning flight. My only issue was with the shuttle driver who did not adequately explain his system for loading the luggage by air terminals and then ended up angry with us because our bags were under all the other bags when we were the first to get off at the first terminal stop. The reception staff, however, were very pleasant - and also helpful when the printer ran out of paper while I was trying to print our boarding passes on the computer in the Lobby.
