The rooms were clean and well presented. The light in our toilet didn't work upon arrival but was fixed without delay once we requested it. The hotel is in a good location right outside the U-Bahn station 2 stops from the Central Station which we foudn convenient. The breakfast optiona at 21€ each seems overly expensive and we opted not to take that option.

Very family frendly hotel,kids were delighted with this pancake mashine.Service was great,high level of professionalism.We forgot something in our safe and and got it back.Also communicatio level very high,fast reaction,sending SMS when room ready even before usual check-in time.We used online check-in and were very satisfied.

I really enjoyed staying at the hotel, positively surprised over the nice sauna and spa, but a bit disappointed about the gym. Would have been nice with a cross-training machine, with weights. The loose weights were nice but limited.

I continue to stay at the Novotel Alster City every time I am in Hamburg. Great location, convenient parking, clean and quiet rooms with sufficient space, nice breakfast, professional check-in and check-out Service! And all of this comes at a reasonable price. What else do you want ?!

Room was the older outdated room in the far corner of the 2nd floor. This meant I was awoken with banging on the 3rd floor where work was ongoing or their were noisy guests. In addition the shower pressure was really low and I didn’t get a good enough shower for my time at the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for one night. In the evening I viseted the hotels restaurant and bar which is both separated, you can't move your position without paying the bill. The waiter was very slow and we waited for a long time. Breakfast was fantastic. All together I recommend this hotel

I was travelling with family. The room was very modern and clean with very comfortable mattresses. The room was big enough for four persons and had very good isolated windows, doors and walls, so that we did not hear any disturbing noises. The breakfast was very rich and the customer service was splendid and let no wishes unfulfilled! It was a very pleasant and perfect stay. We can highly recommend this hotel and will return for sure!

The staff were very helpfull. The breakfast was very good. The location is directly next to metro (U-Bahn) and close to the central station in Hamburg. The standard is good however in my room the toilet had been used for smoking. The airconditioning could not cool and when the window was open there was a lot of noise from the street.

Very conveniently located right above a station. Rooms are good. Clean and spacious.Same goes for the bathroom.Toiletries had to be asked for. Should be placed in room beforehand. Drinking water is on chargeable basis.Was told to collect water bottle from reception and that it would be charged.I have stayed at more than 300+ hotels and smallest ones to provid at the least 2 bottles free daily for drinking. This was absurd. Soon I guess Novotel brand will start charging of air and oxygen consumed while staying in their properties too. Higly dissapointed. Basic necessatity should be provided.

I was very happy with the hotel with one exception. When I first checked into my room there was renovations going on over head. The noise was unberable for approximately three hours. The following morning from around 7.30am I could hear the work men over head again though the noise was not as bad as the previous day. A pity really because otherwise it would have been a great stay.

Good location near the U-train station --> quick access to whole city, although not many services nearby. Breakfast was a bit high-priced if bought separately, however there was good selection and a cool pancake machine.

I didn’t like the corner room 204, I had the feeling that it is quite shrink
