« Dissapointed in stay but problem rectified »

First day / night in room 422 was terrible as building work overhead from 3pm check in (having travelled since 3am we wanted a few hours sleep before we went out to the concert at the Barclay Card Arena) then we where woken at 7am with drilling. I went to reception who moved me to a quiet room 142 on our second day. we had our breakfast refunded as a gesture of goodwill... didn't help really as we planned this trip 1 year ahead and lack of sleep ruined our trip. We then Moved to your sister hotel in Tiergarden AM in Berlin and are currently enjoying the last day of our stay. not sure if I will re-book with Novotel for our trip next year?

A 10 would have been given if these “things” were avoided/solved: - no voucher received for drinks received as a gold member - no iron and ironboard in the room - restaurant was out of the dish being ordered. Topk about 15 min. For them to find out. Other than that, a nice hotel, clean rooms and comfortable beds as well as extremely friendly staff will for sure bring me back.

« Barrier-free room not available »

I booked the room few weeks before. As a wheelchair user i need a barrier-free room. This i requested during my call with the AccorHotels reservation centre. On my arriving day the reception person told me there was no free barrier-free room available and the said that there was no text or sign that i need this room in my Reservation. I really was shocked. Only the guy on the reservation fixed the problem after hours. His name is Philip Schulte i think. Without his passion and work i would be in big trouble.

« Good location, clean and welcoming hotel »

I asked for a quiet room and got one very close to the staircases, where we could hear all people going up- and downstairs. Besides that I was really surprised about the extremely high price for breakfast and next time, I will definitely not eat in the hotel. The staff at the reception was very friendly and supportive and the rooms were very clean and light. The hotel has a good location, close to the underground station.

« It no better and no worse than my general experience when staying in a hotel »

From check-in to check-out the hotel personnel where pleasant, professional and attentive. I feel that some 'artificial intelligence' should be applied to the lifts which really are some of the least responsive that I have come across. I would also suggest the something is done about how the hotel bedrooms and corridors are 'hermetically' sealed. Whenever a door is closed and you are in your room, a pressure wave can be felt that is not good and if you are asleep can cause you to wake.

« Wonderful autumn vacation staying at Novotel Hamburg City Alster! »

The overall experience staying at hotel was wonderful. The hotel personnel, i.e. check-in staff and breakfast/restaurant staff were extremely polite and welcome us warmly as hosts! However, we are a bit of disappointed with the breakfast of which the variants/quality were cleary worse.
