« It was just OK »

Check in went fairly well but when the room door opened the smoke smell was overwhelming. HORRIBLE. I was surprised that the Front desk tried to keep me in that room until I told them it had made me SICK. The room was adequate but the bathroom wasn't spotless and could have used another cleaning. Dinner at the restaurant was disappointing as well. The first serving of pasta was heavily SALTED and I was unable to eat it. The replacement was better. There wasn't a person at the entrance to greet and seat a customer. I asked for a wake up call which NEVER came. I expected more for the price paid for the night

A group of five adults travelling together, we needed five rooms for privacy. Booking.com was problematic with the website data shifting my booking dates unexpectedly. Ibis staff were much more flexible and understanding than booking.com. The rooms were comfortable and quiet

« What Staff !! »

Drove to Firenze and stayed in the hotel in the outskirts then got the No 30 bus for 2.5 euros to the station. Excellent value. ALL the staff was so really genuinely friendly and helpful and went over and above the norm to assist. The staff at the desk were superb and a special mention for the handyman "Jonathon" who was so nice and effecient

An explanation on how to connect to the wifi in the chamber would avoid to have to contact the reception. It is also possible to provide directly into the room the explanation on how to get to city center by bus in case the reception is busy.

Only one small comment. We have booked a lot of Ibis hotels over the last 10-15 years. We usually eat breakfast at Ibis. However, this time we canceled our breakfasts after the first day. The baguette rolls were only half baked, th e ham was only pressed ham and the cheese was pretty tasteless! This is the first time that we experienced at Ibis. I suggest that you raise your breakfast prices somewhat and buy better quality products! Otherwise everything was fine!

Hotel room does not provide complimentary bottled water and toiletries. Considering that there are no supermarket within walking distance, this should be provided. It would have been nice to provide such basics

Stayed 16-20 August 2118. Hotel selected because Accor website advertised restaurant open every evening. This was repeated in description of facilities on door of hotel. Found restaurant closed to general guests for the whole period we stayed, significantly reducing the enjoyment of our stay. Assistant manager (manager away) claimed we had been advised at time of booking but when I was able to show from the acknowledgement of my booking I had taken with me that this was untrue blamed Accor website management. Negotiated some additions to bar menu for our stay but not being able to eat in the restaurant was unsatisfactory when it had been advertised. Otherwise the hotel was good, clean and staff helpful. I have already completed one review on this stay for Accor/Trip Adviser and received acknowledgement with a promise of advice when it is added to the site. I heard nothing further until receiving a reminder for a review and these comments are in response to the reminder. It seems there are some organisation problems within Accor.

The staff were good and generally helpful. My comments are not intended to criticise them.I booked the stay from 16-20 August in July and chose the particular because it offered an in house restaurant open every day. When I arrived I found the restaurant advertised on the door of the hotel and in the first lift I used. I was however concerned to see in the second lift that I used a note that restaurant was closed on an unspecified week-end. On checking with reception I was told the restaurant was closed on all four nights of our stay. We accepted a standard bar meal the first night and I saw the assistant manager the next morning. He advised I had been told of the closure when I booked on line. I had all four pages of my booking acknowledgement and eventually he had to agree I had not been advised blaming the Web page Department. My anger was increased on finding the restaurant was opened for special coach trips on the Thursday and Friday.The only compromise I could achieve was some additions to the bar menu from the normal restaurant menu but it was not the same as a full restaurant choice and had to be selected after breakfast and taken in the bar. This lack of advertised facilities compromised the enjoyment of our stay.

« fine for 1 night stay »

stayed 1 night before an early morning flight. Have stayed a few times before. Hotel is OK, location is good for the airport. Beginning to look tired especially the bathrooms. Also maybe they should offer an airport shuttle which can be charged, many flights leave around 0630 so would be easy to arrange
