« Recent deep degradation of the service of this hotel »

The reason why I chose this hotel regularly since 8 years is the airport vicinity and its shuttle service. I called from the airport for the shuttle, I got the most unfriendly assistant on the phone: "There is no shuttle, you can walk", no apologize. I experienced the same rude service when I arrived at the reception desk. When at the restaurant: overloaded waiters, visibly running short in personnel.

At Ibis, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. It is right, that we do not a privat shuttle anymore, because the way was too short for the company who gave us their service. The other reason is, that we have two busses very nearby the hotel to bring you in front of the airport. The other way round, from the airport nearly directly to the hotel and this only for 1,60 per way. It is a fantastic line and a lot of our guests confirm this good service. I will talk to my staff again and explain it again to them. I tried it personnaly and believe me it is really great. The experiences in the restaurnat was also not good and I will also talk to them. I wonder myself, because most of or guests say, that our staff is very friendly and competent. It was okay. Naturally, I did not expect too much from a booking at a budget hotel. The room equipment and decor was a bit dated (as always) but I slept well. Restaurant service was, well, confused. Billing made little sense -- how many invoices do you guys actually need to send for the same charges?.

The short one day stay was obviously not enough to rate it other than as we found. It was good, the staff courteous and friendly, and the help with taxis marvelous for someone not knowing the town and how to get around.

« Airport hotel without an airport shuttle makes no sense. »

Stayed here over many years and were always happy. Now we find out at the airport that the airport shuttle is gone and the airport's travel office tells us a taxi probably won't take us for this short distance. However, it is too long too walk with luggage and my wife and I are disabled. Fortunately, we found a taxi willing to take us but for an airport hotel not to have an airport shuttle is a big deal - that is the whole point. May or may not come back to this hotel, unless the airport shuttle comes back. Also, phone wake-up function did not work, beds are kind of hard (but ok), and breakfast seems to have fewer options than in the past. Everything else was ok.

In the meantime we have a very good infrastructur at the airport. We have two busses, they bring you every 5-10 minutes to the airport and from the airport to the hotel. The busstation is 200 meter from the hotel. Many of our guests like the bus and use it. Our breakfast has been changed and will change in regular time. So we offer standard plus regional food or spices or new waffle-receipts or we change the bread and so on. Great location within close proximity to the airport. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the noise levels (despite being located beside the airport and major, busy roads) is never an issue when I stay at this hotel, which I do regularly. The breakfast is good, the staff friendly, and the hotel is well-serviced with ample and reliable public transport possibilities for connections to the city centre. Excellent bus connections to the local UBahn (under/overground) network direct to the city centre. There is no longer a shuttle bus service to and from the airport. However, around the corner there is a bus (public transport) that takes you the 4 minutes to the airport.

Tight, but fully adequate double room for two. Brackfast had lots of variety, was well prepared and plentiful. Staff was friendly and most helpful. On the negative side; Two grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, order after noon, were both rather burned on the bottom. An annoying flickering light in the bathroom remained unrepaired. No hotel shuttle to the airport was provided

Unfortunately, my bathroom sink wouldn’t drain which meant having to shave and clean my teeth in the shower. Having stayed here many times before this was my first disappointing experience. On the positive side, Mohammed on reception was (as always) very helpful and apologetic and offered me an alternative room.

Pros: Comfortable room. Walking distance to the airport. Good sound isolation. Good treatment from the personnel. Cons: The water on the wash basin did not flow properly through the pipes. The housekeeper knocked on my door heavily at 9 am and woke me up when the check out was much later than that and I was hoping to have more hours of sleep before my flight.
