We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel as it was a great position. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The only issue was the wifi was not very good.

From the moment we arrived outside the door of the Sofitel Wentworth the staff began to welcome and assist us.We were very impressed with the high standard of service provided by every staff member we came in contact with.The staff make the difference at this hotel. « Magnifique Stay »

First time staying in the Prestige Suite and it was beyond my expectation. The room was big and very well appointed, nice decor and really reflects the French elegance. From the moment I checked in until checked out, the staff were very accommodating especially Nana in front desk as she gave me a Club Sofitel welcome letter which was a very nice gesture. Had breakfast in the Club Sofitel, everything was beyond my expectation. The food was simply stunning and was organised very well. Overall, it was a truly magnifique stay for me. I’m very looking forward to stay in the hotel again very soon.

We loved our stay. Being a little short I struggled to get in and out of the bath/shower. Each time we ordered through room service there were small errors in our orders. Location was awesome. The staff were great. And Nick in concierge was awesome and had a neat recommendation with the 1936 limo Cadillac!

« Nice hotel in convenient location. Customer experience could be enhanced »

Given the fact that this hotel is in the top 5% for price charged it should be 100%. Whilst there are a lot of positives there were areas i found lacking. Arrived at "Sofitel car park". No enquiry if i was a guest or assistance to get to reception. Having found reception the welcome was poor. Was asked if i wanted internet access, he then looked to advise it was included. I had to ask if breakfast was included , where it was located , where i could eat with the hotel, where the lifts where etc. Surely this is something that should be communicated ? Asked if room was quiet and advised yes. Given the fact that it overlooks 2 main streets i could hear the traffic. (The room was very nice and i got used to it) . I ended up calling guest services to find out how i access the wifi and the lady was very helpful. Suggest you rename your wifi to Sofitel Guests as opposed to Sofitel public wifi which is a bit unfriendly. I discovered that i had access to the alternate b'fast dining area on the 2nd morning. Why was i not advised on check in or on the first morning when i went for breakfast. Note that you need to identify products on the breakfast buffet in the main dining area. Items in glass jars where not identified and when asking the chef maintaining the display he struggled to identify himself. The jams near the pastries where not identified etc We entertained two business colleagues in the "Soiree" ordered Dom Perignon but it took 20 minutes to source a bottle. Initial glass was poured (Too much in the glass) and after that you had to pour yourself. As soon as the bottle was finished the wait person was there in a flash to see if we wanted another bottle ! We were not offered any snacks/food at any time but had to ask. Positive The room was very clean and well appointed and the snacks left for me were well received and tasty. The process in the car park worked very well (noting the initial arrival left me searching for the access to the hotel reception which is not well identified) The room service meal i had was excellent. Check out was prompt and professional Nice hotel, beautiful room but needs fine-tuning to enhance the customer experience

« My last stay with you »

I understand it was my fault as I made my booking quite last minute resulted on the non availability of Classic room on my last stay (third night). I booked higher room type for the third night. Contacted the hotel to see if I could stay in the same room throughout my stay without the need to move to other room for the last night. On arrival, I checked with reception and ask for that possibility of staying at the same room. I did not ask for upgrade just wanted to stay in the same room in considering that I have been your repeat customers but instead, the duty manager offered an extra charge to have Luxury room from first night. My impression was that my loyalty did not count and instead the resort preferred to apply revenue management. I am a hotelier too and that even made me feel disappointed as I knew there should be something you can do but you just did not want to do. In general I like hotel despite bit dated, I had what I needed for simple stay but seem I will stay elsewhere for my next visit to Sydney. regards, Wiwin

« A taste of luxury in the centre of Sydney »

We stayed overnight after going to the ballet at the Opera House. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we were greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival. The room was very comfortable, with views of the garden court. We enjoyed a coffee at the Soiree bar, and also had a lovely breakfast at the Garden Court restaurant on level 5. Overall, a very pleasant stay in Sydney.

Checkout was relatively easy. Normally though my key and details are already at hand as I am an Accor Plus member. I would recommend upgrading your televisions. Poor quality and fuzzy standard definition picture and slow response time for remote control with TV. When I'm away a good TV matters since you're away from family

« The room was great (albeit expensive) but I was very disappointed in being charged for the second night after I cancelled »

Late on the 8 May my meetings on 10 May were cancelled and I arranged to fly back to Melbourne late on 9 May. I rang reception at about 6:30 am on 9 May and told them that. When I checked out the person on reception said that I would charged the full rate for 9 May. I said that was unreasonable.
