Having stayed in a number of Novotels over the years I have always considered them to well appointed, clean and reliable. Whilst the staff were courteous and efficient, I was extremely disappointed to find that on entering my room it appeared that the loo had not been cleaned and contained faecal matter. Whilst I did not report this at the time, being tired after a long day of work and travel, I consider it disgraceful that this had been overlooked and would not expect it from a local B&B let alone a hotel which charges a room rate of £350 per night.

It's always plesant staying at the Novotel, everyone is extremely welcoming and go over and beyond when you need something. I had miss judged my booking and Michael Lucus was able to find me a room at the very last minute, which was just amazing after you have worked a 12hr shift.

This was very well situated for a sightseeing trip to London. A good price and you know what you get with a Novotel. So much better than a tiny room in an inner London hotel. The only problem we had was that the washbasin in the bathroom was blocked and it took a while for water to drain away. By the time we realised this it was late at night and we therefore didn’t report it. We were only staying one night so we reported it when we checked out so that it would be sorted for the next guests. It’s a pity the previous guests didn’t do the same as unless Housekeeping check the drains and toilets each time the room is serviced they wouldn’t know about it. We chose not to have breakfast as it was a bit pricey but we did use the bar which seemed to have a reasonable prices. All in all a good stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was great! The location is what sold us on the reservation, and we were not disappointed. The only constructive criticism I can offer is with regards to maintenance and housekeeping. The sink in our room drained MUCH to slowly, and the toilet flushing mechanism malfunctioned sporadically. In fairness, the response to repair requests was fast and thorough. The situation simply introduced some hiccups in our schedule in order to accommodate access to our room.

It was my first stay in a Novotel and I enjoyed it. The hotel location was nice, the room was big enough, very clean. There was enough space to work as well. The meeting room was nice and well located within the hotel. The staff of the hotel was very nice and very customer oriented. The breakfast and the food of the restaurant were good.

It was lovely, hotel very clean & modern, staff extremely nice & helpful. We waited an extra 2 hours for our room to have a water view, unfortunately it wasn't quite the water view but it was ok as we looked onto the excel building, plus we were given complimentary cocktails from the bar for our wait. What we found a bit bizarre & awkward was the toilet being separate from the bathroom. This would have been fine had there been handwashing facilities in the toilet but there wasn't, which meant walking through the room to the bathroom to wash your hands. It was just very bizarre for a hotel that seemed very clean & modern. It would be good if housekeeping left more than 4 sugar sachets & 2 teabags when restocking too as we had to ask at reception most days for extra. Hotel are more than happy to hold your luggage for you aswell which is fab, especially when travelling for business & have a later flight. 10/10 for staff. Otherwise, very good.

Amazing room with a great view! Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and hot considering it was a buffet style set up. Staff made us, as a family, feel very welcome. Particularly Thirbut ( apologies on spelling!) Check in was fast and we were able to check in earlier, even though we only wanted key as were not going to be back until later in the evening. Initially booked for one night but extended to two whilst there. Parking on site £18 per night cheap! DLR a short walk. We will be back.

Check in was managed by a highly professional young lady who was attentive and friendly. The room was excellent, quiet and well appointed. The shower was a particular highlight. Breakfast was fairly standard for a buffet breakfast and would benefit from vegetarian sausages.

A room was not available for my family until about 5pm despite arriving at the hotel before 11am. Further £84 have been taking from my credit card without explanation or incoice

I have looked on your reservation and it appears that we checked you in at around 3:30pm. Check in is at 2pm so I do apologise for the 1 hour and a half delay. Regarding the £84 charged on your card, your stay was updated to include a dinner from the 26th for £21 per person per dinner meaning for the last two nights of your stay. This equated to £84. This was not settled upon check out (maybe due to out quick check out box) so we charge the card on the reservation for the remaining amount. I was on a business trip and my breakfast was included in the price but we paid £16.45 for my husband’s breakfast and it was almost inedible. The boiled and poached eggs had been left under warming lights for a long time and consequently were like rubber- you could have bounced the off the floor. The bacon rashers were all stuck together because they had sat there for so long and the scrambled egg was cold. In retrospect we should have complained at the time but the ‘chef’ was checking the food frequently and should have noticed how bad the food was

I was greeted very cordially and very pleased to benefit from a room upgrade. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and room were clean and well furnished. I slept well. I purchased breakfast in the morning - the staff were again excellent, but the food was tired and over cooked and the coffee was from a machine and very disappointing. The fresh fruit was also very tired: so not so fresh.

The staff were excellent throughout. The bath leaked (and the water wouldn't run warm) in our room though the shower was okay. We reported this. There was no caffeinated tea in the room though this was quickly remedied. The cooked breakfast was unappetisizing but the other breakfast items were better.

The room was mostly clean and tidy.. it was comfortable and very quiet, however the floor had lots of ‘dirt’ left from a previous guest and was either not hoovered, or done very badly.
