Stay overall was great thank you, shame we got off at Canning Town tube in the wind and rain as per your website travel instructions and we soaked by the time we walked to you and found out there were 2 stations closer - please update. More than one teabag each in the room would be helpful too but thats a minor thing.

« Excellent location and value for money »

For a London hotel the cost of my room was very, very reasonable. The location was ideal for the O2, especially during the hours of the cable car's operation: the journey to the venue only took 10 minutes. The only downside was the room temperature. The wall-mounted air heater didn't appear to make much difference as the room stayed relatively cool throughout. There appeared to be a cold spot by the window, possibly due to a faulty window seal.

« Extremely bad experience. »

Terrible smell in first room on 8th floor. Lovely views but unbearable smell of rotten egg or something. They gave me another room on 5th floor which was fine, but when I asked for a double bed, was moved to 6th floor. Unfortunately they were smoking on the 7th floor and this accompanied by food smells coming through the vents, made it very unpleasant for me to sleep without coughing. I spent 5 nights and can honestly say that I will not book there again after this bad experience.

Booking in was so quick and simple. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I must particularly mention Peter who greeted us at breakfast. What a lovely, positive and friendly member of staff. A real asset to the Ibis.

« Regular guest at excel docklands »

We stay about every six weeks with you. Love the hotel and it's location? Always stay on seventh floor which I requested again this time. However we were located in a disabled room on the first floor that was tired and in need of renovation so disappointing this time. Check in these days is harder even though we did advanced check in. Previously we used to check in at the desk but since out last four visits it's been replaced by your new greeting service. Always just one person greeting and if other guests arrive same time it's actually much slower than before when 2-3 people were manning the check in desks. I fear cost cutting is the reason for this and not giving such a good realtime guest check in experience. Many thanks Patrick

Small room, good staff. Good check-in and checkout experience. Breakfast average. Very good location for a conference or exhibition at the Excel. Expensive, but only if your company doesn't book ahead.

Over all very good. Just one member off staff wanted me to pay for breakfast on entry, I had to insist three times that it was to be charged to my room.

The kind, welcoming staff make this hotel. As cabin crew I stay in hotels all the time, these employees made me feel welcome and as if I was the only customer in the world. Excellent customer service. I hope my passengers feel as welcome and individual as I was made to feel on this trip. From the coffee I made to me by the bar staff to the chamber maids I met in the halls I could not have asked for more delightful people. Ibis I hope you appreciate these dedicated and charming people. The rooms are clean, comfy and I slept better in this hotel than some 5* ones I stay in.

« Card trouble and sharing beds »

We were four gentlemen visiting Bett and were rather surprised by the rooms only containing one bed. Even though the booker had asked that there needed to be able to be separated. We also found it interesting to have to share the same covers ;) All of us experienced troubles with our keycards not working. 3 nights and 5 times the cards stopped working, that may be something to look into;) Thanks, Stephan

« Great value »

We booked this hotel as we were visiting the boat show at the Excel. On arrival the staff were very helpful and within 10 minutes our room (with a view!) was ready. The room was just what we needed, tea making facilities, freeview tv, plenty of hanging space and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was included and ve adequate, the sausages were particularly good, much better than I would expect from a more budget hotel. All in all our two day stay worked very well for us from a location and comfort perspective and ALL the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I had a good time, the staff was really helpful, very kind and professional, the room was ok even though I would have preferred a big bathroom and the possibility to get some drinks as matter of fact there isn't a Frigobar, but very appreciated the kettle for tea and coffee.

« Not up to the usual Ibis standard very disappointing »

Arrived here and had to search for someone to check in! Only to be told there was no reservation then at the third attempt the young lady found it and confirmed the room snd breakfast. Next morning was told I hadn't paid for breakfast so how would I like to pay on producing a receipt we were allowed to proceed. I shouldn't have bothered the breakfast was terrible. The worst I have had at an Ibis and in fact the worst of any hotel I have stayed at in the last 40 years! Needless to say very disappointed and will not stay here again!
