« Difficult access by car »

No complaint about the room, cleanliness, but the hotel seemed under-staffed. The hotel is at the corner of two busy main streets and there is no unloading bay. We thus stopped in a side-street some 200 meters away and my wife went on foot to the reception. There was only one receptionist and she was on the phone for 15 minutes (very stoical) until she provided information that we had to drive back nd stop in the main street to unload our luggage. After we unloaded she was on the phone again for some 10 minutes - altogether it took 30 minutes until we were checked in and got our room key.

« Great Location, good hotel for the money paid »

The hotel has been renovated and the moquet on the floor and some other things still give a sign of an old furniture sytle. However the local is great, staff very much available and room fair enough. Only note is the parking. I was said that there was a convetion with the next door parking lot but at the end I've to pay the same 15€ I would have paid just normally putting the car for a day over there,

« Understaffed and in need of an upgrade »

I have stayed here before on several occasions, the last time being 2 years ago. However, the hotel rooms and corridors are now badly in need of an upgrade as they are stained and outdated. Checking in at reception took 20 minutes as there was only one member of staff on hand and then checking out took 25 minutes for the same reason. Staff were friendly enough, but just not enough of them. Good location, but will not stay here again as it's become too grotty.

« Nice stay at the heart of Bergamo, very close to the railway station »

The hotel is at a very good location, about 15 minutes walk to the old town of Bergamo. The breakfast was good and the staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious but they need a little refurbishment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

« Excellent overnight stay en route to Lake Garda »

Flew into Orio al Serio airport. Having decided to break up our journey to Lake Garda with an overnight stay in Bergamo. Glad we did. Hotel was in good location, not too far from bus and rail stations. Reception staff were helpful and efficient. Room was large, with air-con. Bed comfortable, And reasonable breakfast in the morning.

No management, no bar at 10pm, quiet room - next to building site ,a club privelidges unknown Reception staff struggling with queues of quests - no management in sight. 24 hour problem line does not work. need l go on ?

The hotel is well located near the railway station and close to bus stops to airport and to the Alta Citta. Privilege room are nice , spacious , clean , breakfast is good , staff was helpful and smiling .

« Lovely hotel in great location »

We have stayed here before. Good location close to railway station. Beds are very comfortable. Reception staff in particular .Sophia were very friendly and helpful.. Bedrooms spacious and it was great to have a large bath tub.The old upper town is lovely to go to. Lake Como via Lecco and on to Varenna can be done in an hours train journey. The Towm of Clusone is alo worth a visit .It has a market in Monday. Take tram fro Bergamo to Albino and bus to Clusone (bus ticket from Tabac outside tram station)

We had problem on the furst night and they didn't agree to cancel it so we had to pay even we come only from the second one. Hotel that do not understand its visitors. For sure thia is the last time to stay with them

Compared to most of the Mercure hotels in which I have stayed, this one was slightly disappointing. The room decor was rather tired and the breakfast was not brilliant for vegetarians. The bed and pillows were not up to Accor standard. However, the staff were great and the hotel location is excellent

We were satisfied with everything: room, including beds, bathroom, breakfast. The only shock was when we requested to check out an hour later than the indicated time, we were asked to pay Euro 19 for that.

The internal decor of the hallways and lift were substandard. it had a feeling of under maintenance. Bedrooms were fine. This aside value for money was good, service was great and staff friendly. Overall a 7.5 out of qo which would be lifted if the decor was improved.

The hotel is located ideally just 5 minutes from the railway station and the main shopping area. The hotel and room was clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was very good. The 4th floor room had a few problems - the safe was broken, the bathroom vanity mirror was located on the right hand side so you you could not shave properly or apply make-up, the air conditioning did not not cool (presume broken) and made an annoying humming sound at night, and the bed had creaking strip lights installed which took 15 minutes to stop making a noise (in common with other similar hotels).

« Worst experience ever in a Mercure hotel »

I booked the hotel two weeks before the stay using the Accor booking system. I added a comment to request a baby bed. Then I did the online check-in telling the hotel that we will arrive near 10pm, re-asking for the baby bed and for its installation in our room. This have been followed by an email discussion with Deborah C. So far so good... But... When we arrive at 10 pm there was no baby bed installed in the room and the person at the desk didn't know where to find one. She call another employee who arrive 30mn later and an took again 1h00 to find a baby bed... I let you imagine how it was with a 18 months baby waiting 1h30mn for a baby bed at 10pm. Definitely not what I expect from a 4 stars hotel... The room was fine and also the breakfast. We appreciate the location of the hotel. So we were thinking that problems were behind us... Unfortunately not ! The last day during the breakfast someone come to us to lecture us about a baby diaper which have been put in a toiler somewhere. She can't say where with precision. But as we were the only family registered with a baby it should be our fault... First I want to say that when we arrive there was a 5 years child and it is possible to use diapers for him. And then that we NEVER dropped a diaper in a toilet. And to finish don't blame people without evidence. So again a bad experience and unfortunately it was not the last one. The ultimate was when we come back to the visit the sunday afternoon to take a shower and then hit the road. Our keys have been and it take 15mn to have another one due to the slowness and maybe reprisals (related to the diaper) of the staff. Maybe I am a little bit paranoiac here but exhausted. They did not take into account the late option we had taken when we booked to avoir this king of issues... To finish I want to say that after a lot of stays in Accor hotel I will remember this one but for bad reasons...

Amazing breakfast. Very well decorated hotel. Friendly staff. No working lobby bar at 10 PM. No private parcking, but paid parking at 30 meters. Disadvantage - toting the luggage. Only 10 min by foot to funicolare and old city.

« A sweet stay in Palazzo Dolci »

The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room was comfortable and cool (with outside temperatures up to 38deg C.) The location was good with historical, religious and cultural sites and restaurants within easy distance. The hotel only serves breakfast but with the excellent Vox restaurant just round the corner and several others close by it is not a problem.
