Cleaning standards for room & turn down service were excellent. Beds were excellent. Commented to front desk that hot water in room was very slow in coming; had to run shower for ~2mins before warm water began to flow, then another 30 sec further to get to temp. For a hotel of this calibre, and regardless of personal taste, would also note that the artwork inserted into the headboards in all rooms is quite amateurish, hideous & tacky.

Arrival and departure were easy with the help and kindness of the concierge and the bell hops. The wait staff in the restaurant that evening was very considerate and the food was great. The front desk could use some happy and polite training. Room was clean and comfortable with a good cup of bedtime tea. Operative word there is A. The thermostat in the room didn't work so I had to call the front desk, twice, during the night to get the heat turned up... I don't drink alcohol so, I'm never sure what to do with that drink coupon given me upon arrival. Perhaps it could extend to a tea and dessert. Or something other than alcohol. Overall the hotel is a nice place to stay in Montreal, clean, nice concierge staff, polite housekeepers, competent wait staff.

« Beautiful hotel, well appointed and great location »

Stayed 2 nights and appreciated the style and comforts of my room. The yoga mat was a very nice touch! The only downside was the Renoir restaurant. Very expensive and limited menu, lacking in healthy options. Service was mediocre. Would not dine there again.

Was a great stay although t thought the breakfast menu was over priced and If you wanted a snack at the bar on Sunday afternoon you were out of luck you had to wait until 3:00 But the room was great and the comfort was Also very good all in all a great stay

We have stayed at Sofitel, Montreal many times, and visited this time principally to celebrate my birthday and to visit our dear friend Executive Chef Olivier Perret. Staff from the throughout the hotel remember us by name, which is most appreciated. Each request was promptly, politely and professionally fulfilled. We never miss the wonderful breakfast, and always enjoy many special cuisine favorites that Chef Perret, and Executive Sous Chef Felix Duquet prepare for us. No request is ever refused. We travel internationally often, and enjoy dining well. Renoir is tops in Montreal. Our rooms are always comfortable, clean, airy and quiet. This property does not provide complete 5-star international services, such as a pool and spa on site, but the friendliness, quality and attentiveness of service make us feel at home, each stay. We always look forward to returning.
