Stayed 3 nights to re-explore Beijing after 20 years. Hotel is well located with MTR station just outside the hotel. A few big shopping Malls within 10 mins walk & Wangfujing shopping street 20mins walk. Good service on the club floor with helpful staff.

« Overall quality is good enough, however check in exp. is pretty poor »

The check-in experience of this stay is the worst. Around 10-15 guests in waiting, only two staff working. I saw several other staffs in the backend office, but no one came to assist. When I complained, the very busy Miss said there's nothing she could do to improve and let me escalate the complain. Really "Amazing". It took me around 20 minutes to complete the process. All other experience with this hotel is still wonderful.

In this case I arrived at 10am but check in was available from 12 so at the reception I was told that I could store my luggage but nobody mentioned I could go to the premier lounge. After I remembered and arrived at the premier lounge, things went smoothly. I worked in the lounge until my room was ready and had my luggage delivered. The room was a bit old, but still clean and comfortable, it's actually the bed stand and the bathroom hardware that shows the age mostly, but being used to many "older" hotels in Europe, this wasn't a big deal for me. Since I had most meetings planned outside the hotel I didn't have time to enjoy the happy hour at the lounge, but it seemed nice enough. The breakfast I consider so-so experience, yes, it seemed that there was mostly everything available, both Western and local, but somehow (maybe it's the arrangement) it was an messy experience and I couldn't pick out the things I wanted without zigzagging all over the place.

Liked the hotel, good room. Enjoyed the excecutive dining room and the late afternoon snacks and breakfast. The hot food could have been hotter, as eveything I tried was only just warm. Would stay there again though, and would certainly reccomend you to friends.

We stayed at the Premier Suite and was delighted with the service, attendedness from chamber maid to reception.Checking in was prompt end effortless. The location just 100m away from the subway station and bus stop right in front of hotel, hence transportation is a breeze. All the staff at Premier floor can speak good english . Would recommend booking direct with Accor as I find the rate more attrractive compare to most booking agent

Reception staffs were supportive but check-in process was too slow. It took me almost 30 plus minutes to stand in the que for checking in. The basic room given to me was dirty, having stains on carpet and the fittings look very ordinary and out dated.

I booked the hotel due to proximity to the train station. The hotel itself was a bit disappointing in so far as quality. The downstairs staff were not very good. I am glad I was able to deal with club level,staff.

We were a family with teenagers and tired due to long queues (about 1 and half hour) for airport taxi, when we arrived and checked in at midnight, the receiptionist offered a free extra bed for us, which I appreciated very much. Room was clean and nice, toiletries was complete, breakfast was very nice and many choices and variants. Check in and check out were long queues. Subway was very near hotel. Wakable Distance to shopping mall and restaurants. Hotel in house restaurants were also very nice, Tangs and Utopia. One suggestion is to improve the check in and check out system to avoid too long queues. But overall, it was very nice, convenience, pleasant and worthy staying. Definitely to choose Novotel Beijing Xin qiao in future trip.

The hotel is really convenient for using the Subway to explore Beijing. Good sized rooms and helpful staff who are able to communicate in English, if not fluent. Good restaurants nearby. The only odd thing is that when I used my card to turn the power back on in the room, I had to start the A/C manually.

Overall satisfied, but some areas need improvement: 1) Suggest front office staffs on duty at check-in/Check-out counters to put up some smiles on their face. 2) The bed (room 540), might need to refurbished. « Great Location, Great house keeping staff... Terrible Reception Staff »

The location is great. Subway right outside the door. Close to several tourist attractions. Because we were traveling with kids, they were a bit messy but the house keeping staff at the Executive building A 12th floor was so helpful and did such a great job everyday cleaning up. However the reception and concierge staff was absolutely terrible in comparison to housekeeping. Concierge don't seem like they want to help at all, most of the times when i am asking them questions..they don't even look up. As for the staff at the checkout counter, the young gentlemen was rude (and cursed in mandarin) just because we asked him to reprint the invoice due to a spelling mistake. If you are in the hotel business, especially for a 4 star hotel like Novotel, this is really not acceptable! Ruined the whole image of the hotel.
