This hotel was a great place to stay. for 4 nights. The room was comfortable, the staff was pleasant. The concierge was helpful in contacting our tour guide. Breakfast had lots of choices. However - we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant Citrus two nights. The first night was fine - food, desserts, beer, wine... everything was replenished promptly. The next night we ate later in the evening. The food was fine with fewer choices available, no desserts, and wine bottles were empty, yet the price was the same. We asked the staff but the said no more.

The experience was on the most part good because your executive lounge staff Julia 杨洁 provided excellent customer service, was prompt to help address issues and both professional and friendly at the same time. The first room provided to us was not good as there was some strange red stains in the toilet bowl, but Julia was prompt to send help to try to resolve the issue. When she informed us the issue could not be resolved, she offered to change the room for us. We were very happy with the second room. On the days that Julia was on duty, we had great service at the executive lounge as dishes were promptly cleared and she always had a friendly smile. However on the days she was not around, sometimes the service standard dropped quite drastically. Your concierge was also generally helpful. And Housekeeping was satisfactory.

The service attitude of staff in reception is not very warm, just ok. this hotel is so old, but room in A building remain elegant and classic, rooms of building is so old and not very good. very convenient location that you can take subway and take taxi quickly.

« Five nights at Novotel »

Although the hotel is at least a 20-minute walk to any important site, the location is still good because two subway lines cross right in front of the hotel and they can get you to anywhere in Beijing. Check-in service was average, but the housekeeping staff was on top of things. Both the lobby and breakfast area were very busy, almost chaotic at busy hours. There's no quiet, comfortable public area. But the room was very comfortable. I slept well.

« It was very pleasant to stay in the centre of Beijing »

It was close to subway station and everything was easy to access. No convenient store in the hotel, and sauna you need to pay. Room condition was good and people were very friendly and helpful. It was very pleasant to stay in the centre of Beijing. You can walk to Tianmen square but better not to underestimate distance in Beijing.

I was looking for anyone who could speak english fluently and can understand guests and your staff JIN as she is fondly called assisted us, she was very jolly, cheerful and accomodating to us and to all the guests!! She talks almost to everyone. I think you should put her as a relationship manager for better service. She really was an angel to all the guests. She knows and can understand what we wanted and did an extra mile of getting us safely into taxi where we went to the place she recommended for us!! It was a great stay bec of her!!

This is my second time stayed at this hotel. The room was as I expected. Everything is fine. But I still need to asked the staff for the welcome drink. The staff, her name is Alice Yan need more training I think. She served the welcome drink without expression on her face. She also served the beer without tray n spill off the beer without say sorry. I hope will not happen to another guests who stay here.

Stayed in Room B440, 1. The door frame was literally broken from the inside of the room. I believed the room was once broken in forcibly before our stay. 2. The glass door in the bathroom was jammed. 3. the carpet in front of the bathroom was stained. 4. Inconsistent shower temperature

Good old hotel in an excellent location. Close to all important sites, transport, shops, China Bank next door for best exchange rates. Most hotel staff have limited knowledge of English but are keen to help. If possible book premium floor with an access to small premium lounge to escape from crowded breakfast restaurant..
