« unhappy experience with the sitting toilet »

Arrived late night in 2018.1.29, after check-in I found that there are periodic noises coming from the sitting toilet. With no intention to disturb hotel staff I tried to ignore it, which turned out to be a bad idea. The next day I complained about this problem and received instant feedback which is OK. But fixing does not help at all and I have called reception desk for 5 times and wanted to change to another room. The feedback I got is "we will send our staff to check it for you" and there is no end of it. I suppose Novotel could do better than this and help to change a room after the third-time complaint, but it did not happen.

« Confortable in an with excellent location »

We stayed in a Premium room, really good and confy. Excellent breakfast and happy hour buffet included. Subway is at the doorstep, Chonwengmen station, lines 2 & 5, one station from the Tianmen square and the forbidden city. Best way for traveling around the city, lots of traffic. Shopping center close by with lots of places to eat.

« Great place to stay! »

The room #932 was a dissappointment. The toilet flush system was a challenge. The room was dark. There was only a table lamp. No bedside lamp or overhead ceiling lights. Noticed that body lotion has been removed (I stayed several times at this Novotel so noticed the frugality). The thermostat doesn't work & I just open the window. Luckily I met Julien the fantastic Guest Experience Manager who was a great help to make my stay enjoyable despite the room's shortcomings. Byran too was great manning the counter.

the bed- mattress was so tough and coarse. Need to get new modern and soft mattresses for your hotel. The room had no window. A windowless room! I feel like a prisoner in that room. Never slept in a hotel room without a window. however, the restroom was good and the toiletries nice and comfy. Alando

Very satisfied with the friendly service, cleanliness of the accommodation and helpfull staff. Special mention to Rebecca for taking time to welcome us back to the Xin Qiao, To Stella on the 12th floor reception for her cheerful greetings each morning and to Liqin the houskeeper who always ensured our room and bathroom were maintained in excellent condition and her cheerful attitude to her work

We went thru 3 rooms we paid for a suite and twin executive which was disgusting very dirty smelly carpet stained furniture and rooms stunk of cigarettes. Even the staff admitted they stunk and were smelly and apologised.

Good room service and good food, just some elevator still pending for maintenance. and if the light on desktop is brighter and can be adjusted the lightness will be better. By the way, if the electronic controller can be have better performance, maybe that's good, any way, this point not a big problem.
