« Great location, pleasant experience »

It's been the 3rd time I stayed here. It's one of my favourite hotel in Brasilia, mostly because of its strategic location, next shopping areas, landmarks and restaurants. Its staff is very friendly and helpful. The only remark I'd make is that the ar conditioner compressor is located in a cabinet inside the room, and it makes annoying noise forcing us to turn it off if you want to have a pleasant sleep.

There was a very annoying musty smell in my room that wouldn’t go away, even if I left the window open all day. The carpets were old and had a bad aspect. Other than that, I’m satisfied with the service and the food.

When I was leaving the hotel I asked the front desk man for a taxi driver that could accept AMEX credit card when I arrived at the airport the driver didn't receive AMEX and I had to go to a chash machine to withdraw money. My bank debit card didn't work and I nearly lost my flight.

Guest check in and check out takes a long time, I've stayed before, it should not take 10 minutes to check in. There was no iron or ironing board. How can that be? Do you not tailor to working professionals? You expect travelers to have wrinkled clothes? I called the front desk and they could not locate an iron.

I took 4 showers Monday around noon, Tuesday morning, Wednesday late morning, Thursday early morning. I had ONE hot shower, the other three I could not get hot water. I even let the water run for 10 min on Thursday, no hot water. Internet was inadequate for reliable business e-mails and VPN to office in the late afternoon and evening.

Hotel is horrible, the check-in process is a joke, my friend had to fight to get his key after hotel mysteriously lost reservation. Elevators are busy, 1 broken, system in the elevator is so bad you press a button and it wont turn on its light so you dont know whether is pushed or not. The breakfast which is pushed to you during checkin is very bad, fruits are bad, eggs bad and if you order omelete will take 30min, coffee is horrible too. The room I got (9th floor) had horrible internet coverage couldnt work or study from my room. The room smells like smoke, or dirty socks, I can't tell. The carpet looks dirty. There is no iron for you to look good in your shirts, and the hairdryer would need to pause after heating (which is supposedly is main function anyways). I ordered a salad for dinner 8pm and it's 9:15 and nothing of it, yet. I called already they said they would "put pressure" and nothing so far...

I was initially given room 707, upon entering, it was musty, outdated room, the lock on the sliding door to outdoor balcony was not working therefore it was a safety issue. The carpets was old, and some sections were visibly dirty. It was bad experience. Went back to front desk for another room and was given room 709, which is exactly an old room and musty carpeted smell. Requested to be moved again and moved to 313, which was eventually okay. This is a bad experience especially for me after traveling almost 14 hours from the USA.

I had a very bad experience there as I could't sleep because of the horrible pillows provided as well as the terrible noise produced by the air conditioner compressor engine, installed into the room !!!!), with no acoustic protection. I will not come back to this place anymore.
