« Good breakfast, confortable beds and bedroom. Nice swimming pool and sauna. »

Just a warning for tropical people jaja the water in the swimming pool seems not to be sufficiently warm. For me was ok. But for my friend staying with me was cold. On sunday the do not clean the room or change towels I do not know why. I will stay again in the hotel as there is a good price quality relation.

At my arrival, I saw there was only an improvised checkin counter. I asked what had happened and they looked at me strangely, instead of smiling and saying they were sorry for the inconvenience and they were compensating with some courtesy chocolate or a drink or anything. It was just nothing! Worse, no excuse. Only the lady who was leaving said it is going to be better soon. Overall, my feeling was that this was a very untrained unprofessional staff. Arriving at the room I find a very tiny toilet cover. What happened to the hotel? I am average to small size person, but I barely could sit on this cover which was about half the size of the toilet.

Since the checkin until the checkout almost everything was perfect, just two things went wrong: the breakfast was 7 am, and I couldn't anticipate it in anyway, so I had to leave the hotel latter than what I've expected. The bedroom doors have a gap where the light of the hall go through and light up the bedroom in the middle of the night.

The only positive thing was the room I stayed in (1501) was recently refurbished with access to a balcony which made it nice and clean, a pity that they door was left unfinished with an A4 paper with the room number stuck to the door. It would have been nice if there were any furniture on the balcony to be able to use it. Since you are renovating the rooms, it might also be a good idea to replace the mattresses. The only comfortable place on the bed was right in the center of the kingsize bed. The gentleman who checked me in when I arrived was friendly and helpful enough and after many stays at the Mercure I enrolled for the rewards program. Can somebody please explain why I do not qualify for rewards points when I book through and agent and why can I not be rewarded for past stays with Mercure? (You can look up my history and the number of nights I spent in Mercure Hotels at the end of 2016 and early 2017 - especially the Mercure Hotel in Uberlandia, not only my booking but the number of nights I had my staff members stay there as well.) The Internet WiFi connection is so slow that it is not worthwhile using, I was better off using my data plan on my cellphone except for the fact that I had extremely poor cellphone reception. At night whenever there is movement in the hallway and the lights automatically turn on, the gap under the door is so large that there is a strong reflection on the mirror which lights up the room which is very disturbing when trying to sleep. The R$38.00 you charge for breakfast is absurd if one look at the quality of the breakfast in comparison to other Mercure Hotels and in general. I had an early flight on the Saturday morning when I checked out and it was not possible to get breakfast or even coffee and toast before 07:00, this should be available especially since this venue is seen as a "business hotel". On the morning when I checked out, I had to find out that the elevators were not working, all of them out of service. With a stress fracture in my foot it was not fun walking down 15 flights of stairs with my luggage in tow. Even more insulting was that there was not even a hint of an apology from the staff for the inconvenience.......... This experience was not an advertisement for Mercure or the Accor Group in general.

My room was nice and comfortable, unfortunately it was facing the highway and that made it noisy. The breakfast buffet was exactly the same every single day with very little to chose from, that was the worst part of my stay. I never received my e-receipts as promised and now i am having troubles with my company, please send me my receipts!
