Was shocked to arrive construction happening outside hotel and not wheelchair accessible for my mum.as suggested by Reservations department. Date of check in: 12 August 2017.

« Very convienient spot to stay »

Great facilities except for the Airport bus that takes too long to return to the hotel when there are no passengers to pick up from other terminals specially for late evening flights. I arrived at around 22.00 and waited for 22.30 bus from Terminal 1. It took 40 minutes to get to the hotel under normal conditions it should have been 20-30 mins. Taxi queue was too long as well.

My boy had a fell and broke his front tooth in the bathroom. He bleeding badly and pain. Thanks to the manager and security on duty came for our rescues when we need help. Appreciate on their patience and concern for my boy.

last year i have a very good memories. But this year, different. But for the Staff, like Regina Chin, Mr ISkander, Mr, allan, amazing people. Also the staff from the executive lounge, like Venus, Rayan, perfect. Concerning the housekeeping service, must have a gap, concerning the cleaning of the room, and the preparing for the night.

« Disappointing Staycation »

It was our first FREE staycation using the accorhotel card for a family of 4. 1)The moment I opened the car park door at level one, I was greeted my a glare from a woman standing behind it, smoking with another man siting on the wall. We had to stop our breath ( including my 2 young boys) and walked fast from the smoke. **The smoking area should be placed away from the common walk way!!! 2) Dinner buffet with 2 other friends that night left us quite speechless. No staff informed us that we could separate the bill, e. g. 50% for member + a guest and 20% for credit card/ promotional rates for other two guests. Instead the lady staff, questioned about our son's age and even gave comments in mandarin like "are you sure he is three years old? He looked much bigger!" ( my son was asleep in a stroller at that time) could she be more professional? We were taken aback, qaa she trying to say we were lying??] 4) We were unaware that there were no breakfast included. After queuing up at the crowded buffet area, we were surprised to learn that no breakfast for our room. The staff directed us to reception to enquire from them. The receptionist wasn't friendly, she highlighted that ALL FREE rooms do not include breakfast. ( this comment sounded like “no more explanation needed", however we were not informed clearly during check in! And we just wanted to find out what caused this miscommunication) and excuse me, we paid for the membership, it wasn't a free room from any Lucky Draw or something!!! Later in the day, we bumped into another hotel guast, our friend Mr Patrick at the pool area. He told us about the benefits of the card, that he paid $10+++ for buffet breakfast using accor card *If only someone could informed us that card member could enjoy 50% off for breakfast buffet, then we would not missed out the buffet!! 3) During lunch at the cafe next to the swimming pool, the staff rejected our request for two free drinks using our welcome drink coupon. He said that we could redeem only one drink. I did highlighted that the receptionist said we could have two. And it was also indicated that 2 drinks for Max occupancy. He insisted that there was no number 2 written on the coupon. After being rejected of our requested a few times, I made my way down to the reception. There was a queue so I approached trainee Ms Angel for help. She checked through the computer system and stated that we have two drinks for each coupon. ( I made her write X2 on the coupon and wrote her name below it even though she said there wasnt a need to do so). So who do I listen to?? In the end, he happily accepted the coupon for our 2 drinks order after he saw the No. 2 on the coupon!!!? The food served was slow too. Maybe the staff could be more helpful by calling the receptionist, code them our room number and checking with them through a phone call away, rather than making guest make trips to the reception. **All that was mentioned above, showed the lack of professionalism in most of your staffs. Good service wasn't rendered. However, Ms Angel was helpful and the house keepers at level 5 ( room 1506 area) were friendly and courteous.

I had a good experience staying there... It was a nice hotel with ample room space and peaceful night stay. However, breakfast food variety was limited to continental and English... I was like wanted to have something India.

Excellent Staff friendly and efficient . Location was a worry at first when booking as concerned it was too far from city . However we were very pleased with assistance of your shuttle to MDR and airport transfer. We enjoyed the restaurant 's again staff excellent . Would strongly recommend to fellow travellers and hope to retake in the near future .

« Only the Concierge staff was the best! »

Had great memories few years ago and decided to revisit. 1. Why bother to do online check-in if we still have to spend 10-15 min for your Front desk staff make photocopy of our Accor PLUS card and deposit payment? I didn't have to go through the photocopying of card at other hotels like Sentosa Sofitel. I didn't like the way the staff (likely Hu Feng?) And his approach when he answered my query! 2. Bad experience encountered while having breakfast! I happened to step on gluey stuff when I sat down and approached June. I even showed her my sandal and asked to clean up the floor. She replied ok but when I came back from toilet, nothing done. I approached her again and she said ok. Instead, she sent her superior, Edison who came over and asked me if I need assistance as mentioned by her staff. I ccannot understand why you hire a Vietnamese staff if she couldn't understand English! In my previous workplace in a manufacturing firm, my Vietnamese operators could speak and understand English or Mandarin which was a pre-requisite! However, I do commend Edison for being calm and fast in service recovery. 3. Best concierge staff - helpful and full of smiles, regardless of heavy traffic on the road right in front of your hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Previous stays is Singapore have been in Orchard Rd area but we found the location of the Grand Mercure Roxy was handy to shopping and transport links and it had a great view.

Outstanding!!! Duty Manager Iskandar is a valuable asset to the hotel, very professional and willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. my room was clean and free from odor, very comfortable as always. service is Excellent! will be back in Sept 20th - 22nd and hopefully in Oct too. Thank You Grand Mercure Roxy!
