The stay was average . Nothing extra was done . Good - Although the some of the waiters where very helpful in morning and dinner time . Location was good and peaceful . Bad - Hotel room was not as requested . Towels provided where dirty and sometime was not available . Taxi booked via hotel overcharged me a@ airport . No Toys for Kids in pool area . not even a ball .

We were off to a bad start, when we arrived early, knowing check-in is not until 3pm, we were still told we could be in our room in about an hour. We took a drive and returned after about an hour & a half. We were told the previous guests still had not left the Junior Suite intended for us, and it was now 1pm, 2 hours past check out time, so it would be another hour & a half to have the suite cleaned. We had things sitting in the hot car that shouldn't be in the heat, but seeing other peoples belonging left on luggage carts in the sun, outside of Reception, made the situation no better. So off we go for another ride and have some lunch, with the promise of a phone call when our suite was ready. That call never came. We returned to the hotel at 3pm and waited to check in. We were also told we were being given the very best Junior Suite. It's very unfortunate that it was the very best. The furniture in the living room area was completely worn and with cigarette burns. Overall the wooden furniture and door frames were worn and in desperate need of a facelift or replacement. The next obstacle, we found that we could not watch the World Cup in the comfort of our suite. It would only be shown in Le Bellevue Lounge or on a big screen on the beach. Meaning our options are a smokey lounge, not a good choice for an asthmatic, or sitting in 37 degree temperatures outside. Our gym experience was not any better, we asked for gym towels and were handed full sized pool towels, ridiculously large to use to wipe sweat from your head or face and too large to hang on the treadmill or cross trainer, as they would drag on the floor because they are so long/big. Additionally, the air conditioning temperature would not go lower than 25C. We mentioned it to the front desk, they sent maintenance to check it out, and we were told it would require more work/a motor replaced, and they wanted to pack us up and relocate us to another room. But we were told this was their 'very best junior suite'? The only positive experience we had during our stay, was the breakfast buffet. Although the restaurant was very hectic, that is no fault of the hotel, it was due to the clientele (children running amuck, screaming, throwing food, standing on seat or in highchairs, but after 7 yrs in the Middle East, we are used to witnessing this behavior). The food was cooked to perfection, the staff and omelet chef friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we decided to cut our stay short, as we were booked for 6 nights, we departed after 2. It was not the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for and were very disappointed in the worn state of the hotel & facilities. We are still patiently awaiting a prorated refund for unused nights.

Unfortunately we were completely disappointed with this Novotel location. The rooms & furnishings were worn & in desperate need of replacement/facelift. The pool & beach area are much smaller than they appear in the photos.

The staff were excellent! The food was very good. And pools/beach was good. What let the hotel down were the rooms, they were old fashioned & ours smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Also, the kids club was very poor... and there is no hair salon even though it says there is one.

First the room should be sea view but I found it ground floor Car View ,the receptionist change it to Pool view which was good and better than the sea view Sofa frame was broken , Elevator quality was really bad without AC. in such hot country Room refrigerator was in a bad condition Toilet ventilation was discovered Bed bellows was in a very bad condition and almost empty The house keeping toke the big towels from the room after first day with cleaning and provide small towels only Pool was the best thing , Thanks for having Air coolers beside the chairs Having the bar beside the kids area in the pool was not appropriate for their age to see this Staff was good the screen on the beach was good Suggest to provide more fun on the beach like jet skies or boats for sea trip brake fast was very good Price was higher than 5 stars hotel like Radison blue I expected the room and the resort in a better condition

Booked a 2-bedroom for 4 adults and 2 kids thru Accor website, but at check in we were told that we've book for only 1 room and 2 adults, and that we will be charged the difference for 2 bedroom. Queenie was very accommodating to check it as in their system it shows only 1 bedroom. Since I have a confirmation from accor, and paid two bedroom, she checked us in about 45min waiting. We could have checked in a little faster. A little disappointed. At pool area, we asked for towels, and the life guard asked if we were checked in, before handing us towels! Second disappointment. Food at breakfast for 2 consecutive days were all the same. Taste was good though. But it would be better if they could serve a different food variety each day. All other were great.
