The stay experience at Mercure Hotel has been improved steadily. I've been living here for 11 months and I can testify the entire package has meliorated constantly. Not that it was not very good at the beginning but, you know, everything can be upgraded if there are enough knowledge and determination to do so. It looks like Mercure Hotel management has both. Moving from the top to the core, I can also say the staff deserve heaps of kudos. Especially the front desk people Ariadna, Juana, Andy and Carol. I have to give both my thumbs-up for the constant progress Mercure Hotel is delivering to its clients and customers.

« Could have been better if Mercure read my observations when I made my reservation. »

When I booked this hotel I asked: Please put me on high floors and away from the elevator. Reception made exactly the opposite : I was given a 5th floor room just in front of elevator. Noise was consistent because the room maids were working nearby all the time and the worst thing was a room made enter my room with the excuse to "pick up laundry items" which I never requested laundry services.

no one in this hotel smiles or interacts with its guests. staying ther several months and not one person knew my name or ever asked how i was doing! maid always had a bad attitude and wouldn't clean shower. At breakfast the Egg cook never smiled or would bring my eggs to my table while watching her constantly deliver to Brazilian guests. front desk never greeted me or other guests as they walked thru lobby. doormen never smiled and rarely greeted. not once did mgmt. reach out to me if everything was satisfactory. gym is used by non-hotel guests which makes it hard to access. breakfast staff never smile. persons removing dishes from tables never smiled and would stack food into one plate in front of you instead of removing dishes from site. it appears either every staff is miserable at this hotel or they are instructed not to be friendly or cordial. in the morning getting out of the hotel, always people blocking the minimal access from the elevator to the front door. the staff do not assist in requesting people to keep the area clear as there are many conventions and people tend to just stand in the lobby blocking access. you need to provide training for everyone and have them be more pleasant and smile!!!

Very nice hotel in the Savassi section of Belo H. Was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but tasty and the hotel restaurant was really good. Convenient location to walk to many other Belo H sites.

« Very nice hotel for a business or leisure trip to Belo Horizonte »

The Mercure Belo Horizonte Lourdes Hotel is a very well located in the Lourdes and Savassi neighbourhoods of Belo Horizonte. A lot of restaurants and bars are within walking distance in this safe area. The hotel bar and restaurant are also a good choice for a drink or dinner after a long working day. The breakfast buffet offers a big choice of fruits, fresh juices, hot drinks, breds and cakes, jams and hot dishes, especially the omelette prepared on personal order. My room was situated on the 12th floor with a great view on the skyline of Belo Horizonte, however a bit noisy, which is due to the fact, that its window does not close tidely. It was big. The room has been cleaned perfectly each day. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Was one of the worst experience, to much noise from the bathroom in the side and maintenance was not available to verify the problem, it was 5 am and maintanance appeared 1.2 hours later. I'll try do not use this hotel anymore.
