« Good value and good breakfast. »

I am disappointed that after breakfast on my last day, the front desk agent could not just check me out effective an hour later. My bill was prepaid and a receipt had already been generated for me. So when I went down to check out (at her request) an hour later, I had to wait 10 minutes while she waited on one customer ahead of me. Finally I got tired of waiting and just gave her my key cards. What a waste of my time (and hers). :(

« Convenient location, friendly staff and good value »

The location of the hotel is convenient. Hotel staffs are friendly. My first stay was 5 nights . But I was waken up by other Mandarin speaking guests screaming, arguing, and slamming doors between midnight and 6.30am everyday. My second stay was great as I told the problem I experienced, she got me a room not next to the inconsiderate guests.

The hotel is the best location for us, 20 metres to the rail station, 200 metres to a bus terminal, directly opposite bus stop, opposite ferry terminal, supermarket around the corner and the best burgers in the world (The big bite) 200 metres up the road. The tram 2 small blocks away.The hotel room is typical Hong Kong, very small but we were there to see Hong Kong not the hotel. The buffet breakfast is not very good aimed at Chinese basically no western and poorly cooked with little choice. The bathroom is ok but very small.Overall you get what you pay for and for my money after 13 trips to Hong Kong and the last 3 at the Ibis is was good and we will always stay there because everything we want is very close.

i arrived hong kong from a long flight quite early in the morning. despite the check-in time was still at 2pm, i was welcomed into your hotel for a very very much needed rest. i really appreciated this gesture. a few hours later, i was already out and about exploring hong kong. rooms were spotless, view was good, but the rooms are little dated already and might need a little refurbishing.

The hotel staff (front desk) are friendly and helpful. They shown warm welcome to their customers. The rooms are clean and nice although the rooms are a bit small. The restaurant staff are good too. But the food for breakfast are quite standard and not really changed.

« Perfect Stay »

The reception staff were very friendly and efficient, check-in and check-out very easy. The room I stayed was very quiet and comfortable. It has a sea-view. It was cleaned very day immaculately. The bus terminal to the Hong Kong airport is less than 5 minutes away on foot. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience in staying with Ibis North Point. I would consider staying with Ibis North Point again when I revisit Hong Kong.

The room was very pleasant and clean. The 'aunty' who cleaned was friendly and nice. Bathroom is a bit small and hard to stretch while trying to dry oneself off. But no matter, since I was staying there alone, so did not need to dry off in bathroom.

I was quite impressed with the Front Desk Staff (Matthew) who served me on the second night after I checked in. I managed to get transferred to another room which I felt more comfortable with. Service was great but not very spacious in rooms. After all it is a hotel which is very convenient for everything (public transportation, near-by stores, restaurants etc). Price is a bit high especially in Holiday seasons.

I truly needed a relaxing time off after my long 12 hour flight from Europe to Hong Kong and this hotel was the perfect place to do just that. Mong Kok is not as crowded as Tsim Sha Tsui and has a couple of beautiful gardens where calm is peace when you want to escape the busy city life Hong Kong is famous for. The Dorsett hotel is a nice hotel with free drinks and some snacks awaiting you in the little fridge of your room. The bed is good, the bathroom is great and it's located in a quiet area of Hong Kong. 6 minute walk from Olympic MTR station and 11 minute walk from Mong Kok MTR station

Rooms are much too small for the price, I could barely open my luggage. The room is a double but I can't imagine 2 persons staying in that small space. Happens that the airline shifted my flight 1 day earlier 2 weeks before my trip and I booked a separate hotel for the night since Ibis prices were over the top (almost SGD300/night). iClub Fortress Hill, just 1 MTR stop away from Ibis Northpoint ($223/night) offered much more space in the room (comfortable enough for 2 person), complementary light breakfast, all day coffee (espresso machine at the lobby) and fitness facilities (albeit basic and outdoors). I also prefer the Fortress Hill neighbourhood compared to Northpoint, but that's a personal preference and Ibis' location isn't shabby, almost right above the MTR station and short walk to the pier for Hung Hom ferry. Saving grace for Ibis is the fantastic staff who are definitely much more professional and well-trained than those at iClub.

The Ibis is a very good budget hotel in a great location away from the tourist rush and in local area. Very clean and helpful staff, also bonus view of Hong Kong harbour if on the right side. Really enjoyed my stay and North Harbour!
