The room was very pleasant and clean. The 'aunty' who cleaned was friendly and nice. Bathroom is a bit small and hard to stretch while trying to dry oneself off. But no matter, since I was staying there alone, so did not need to dry off in bathroom.

I was quite impressed with the Front Desk Staff (Matthew) who served me on the second night after I checked in. I managed to get transferred to another room which I felt more comfortable with. Service was great but not very spacious in rooms. After all it is a hotel which is very convenient for everything (public transportation, near-by stores, restaurants etc). Price is a bit high especially in Holiday seasons.

The housekeeping staff is friendly. She keep the room clean and always greet me every morning if she saw me walk out from my room. During check out, it was hassle free and smooth. The service is good.

« 2 relaxing nights at Dorsett Mongkok »

I truly needed a relaxing time off after my long 12 hour flight from Europe to Hong Kong and this hotel was the perfect place to do just that. Mong Kok is not as crowded as Tsim Sha Tsui and has a couple of beautiful gardens where calm is peace when you want to escape the busy city life Hong Kong is famous for. The Dorsett hotel is a nice hotel with free drinks and some snacks awaiting you in the little fridge of your room. The bed is good, the bathroom is great and it's located in a quiet area of Hong Kong. 6 minute walk from Olympic MTR station and 11 minute walk from Mong Kok MTR station

Rooms are much too small for the price, I could barely open my luggage. The room is a double but I can't imagine 2 persons staying in that small space. Happens that the airline shifted my flight 1 day earlier 2 weeks before my trip and I booked a separate hotel for the night since Ibis prices were over the top (almost SGD300/night). iClub Fortress Hill, just 1 MTR stop away from Ibis Northpoint ($223/night) offered much more space in the room (comfortable enough for 2 person), complementary light breakfast, all day coffee (espresso machine at the lobby) and fitness facilities (albeit basic and outdoors). I also prefer the Fortress Hill neighbourhood compared to Northpoint, but that's a personal preference and Ibis' location isn't shabby, almost right above the MTR station and short walk to the pier for Hung Hom ferry. Saving grace for Ibis is the fantastic staff who are definitely much more professional and well-trained than those at iClub.

The guy infront the desk was very kind al the time. The bedroom was really big and confortable. We has just an issue, we were in the last level so during the night something was crashing on the roof and woke up us sometimes.

The check-in staff members were polite and friendly. The room really needs to be updated and cleaned properly. The air vent was old and seemed dirty, the bathroom was old, the tiles were not very clean, it had a shower curtain, and the mirror was worn. This is not up to the Accor brand standard. The breakfast was the worst I have experienced at any of the Ibis properties. In fact I feel as if I wasted my money choosing the breakfast option.

This was the second consecutive year we stayed in your hotel, the hotel location is near to the MTR station, the airport express train shutter bus is across the road , very good location ! The front desk staff are very well trained, helpful and friendly. Also not to miss out your friendly room service team, friendly and helpful. The only regretful experience was the beautiful Kowloon secenery view from the window was blocked by the new buildings, but this will not stop me to stay in Ibis for my next trip if the room rate is at the acceptable level.

« The tired room desperately need an upgrade and overall cleaner look »

I was a frequent traveler until my recent retirement, during my travels, I had opportunities to stay at many hotels of various categories and grades. My input is based on that of a visitor to Hong Kong, I have no expectations but comfort and convenience. The location of hotel was good, service staff was efficient, but the bathroom of room #913 was a big disappointment. Tile grouting was all black from years of usage without a good scrub, the underside of the shower mat was all black from mould, the shower drain plate was not screwed in, it was left loose, and not properly placed over the opening, . These are all signs of neglect over time. I am not looking for five star treatment, but after a long day visiting an exciting city, it would have been great to enjoy a good shower to relax. Please accept my sincere and honest input and I hope you can make good use of comments.

Very bad sewage smell coming out in bathroom. Bathroom too small. When shower is turned on, the curtain would suck inward and wrap around you. No way to do a clean and comfortable bath. Absurd!

Always a decent price and handy for MTR, tram and ferry. The decor is a little tired and only having two lifts means a long wait at times. Friendly staff and an area that is rapidly being upgraded. Nothing fancy, but perfectly acceptable
