« A good hotel with a few issues »

This is a good hotel, clean and nice rooms. The building/rooms is not the most modern, but good. The bath had some signs of time but was clean and good water pressure and mix between hot and cold was easy. The hotel is near the HK Trade Centre so was a good choice for me. Many restaurants nearby. The breakfast is good, in fact very good! I had some time one afternoon and sat in the Bar at Messain and order a Thai soup, that was not so good, to salty, 1 prawn and small mushroom, and made me not enjoy the inhouse Thai buffet later in the evening as planned. The Carlsberg beer also had some items floating around at the bottom that shouldn't be there. the banana flies on the beer cranes is also something they should get rid of. The staff in the bar was very nice and polite. Other then that everything was perfect. Will stay there again if so. In my room 2213 there was also a noise from either the elevators or some pump systems/washing machines. But the sound is of the kind that makes you sleep so long you not get obsessed about it.

The room is not big but clean and well organized, and all the necessary items are in good quality, and easy to use. For a business trip the hotel can meet all the necessary demands. Considering the price, the hotel is a good choice and I would like to stay in my next trip.

For its location, it's hard to do better, particularly from the standpoint of public transport and access to the sights and features of Hong Kong. The rooms have been upgraded since our last visit in 2014 - but the hotel itself has retained the same general features including restaurants and other facilities. Of particular note is the fact that it remains connected to the independent and excellent Shanghai Lao restaurant in the basement. « Good experience except loss of internet »

The whole experience was good except for one day where there was not internet available at the hotel. This caused me a lot of issues with trying to get work done, selection of places to eat or drink and critical contacts I needed to make. This unfortunately added cost and frustration to my holiday

Great generally I travel a lot for work which is why I am a Platinum Member so I appreciate the value of constructive feedback. Nicole from guest services needs a special mention and commendation as her communication skills, friendliness, professionalism was a stand out not just from my interactions but how I saw her interact with other guests in the lounge. Wallace also a good person to support her. The chef at the egg station for my first breakfast 3 Aril was very unfriendly and frowned at every customers request including my own, additionally I only counted 2 service people in the breakfast area that actually smiled and welcomed guests. House keeping was excellent and very friendly and accommodating as was the front desk and concierge.

« Good hotel at a good location »

Room is clean and comfortable. Well stock with toiletries. Provides soft and firm pillows but bed was soft and did not offer much back support thus I was not able to get quality sleep. WiFi is readily available in all parts of the hotel. Good for Whatsapp and FB but not great when you try to make Skype calls -- bandwidth is flaky. Hotel did some upgrades since my last visit in July 2017. Lobby has a refreshing look. I will continue to stay here whenever I visit HK for business. Overall good value and location.

1. Check in went well 2. It was good being able to aaccess the Premuim Lounge on Floor 23. The food selections here could be improved with the addition of a fruit platter and cheese and biscuit platter. I was very disappointed that during the time of our first stay, you no longer served champagne up there. Many other premuim lounges around the world do include champagne as one of the wines available. 3. Upgrade to 23 floor was greatly appreciated. 4. Some tourist information on display in the foyer would be helpful for tourists. 5. Found beds to be rather uncomfortable. 6. Good selection of foods available at breakfast buffet and lunch time buffet 7. The small card with address and name of hotel in chinese which was included in our welcome envelope was extremely useful and is an excellent practice that should be replicated across all properties.

I was well taken care of. Lounge access, room upgrade, polite staff, everything was good, except for the Internet. It broke down and it took some time to get it back on track, and the information about the status was not so good. The internet started to go bad already on Friday. I told the reception around noon when I left my room for a few hours. The girl in the reception offered to take a look in my room, but I said that it has nothing to do with the room, it is something else. Coming back again the internet was working ok, but later it turned bad again. I was going to join a Skype meeting but I had to call in using the landline instead since Internet did not work. The next day (Saturday) the Internet was not working at all. I talked to the reception several times to get some more information. They did not have any. Around noon I was really frustrated as I had a lot of work to do. I called the reception again asking if they could not offer a mobile router or something that I could borrow. They could not, but they informed me that there was a temporary Internet working in the lobby. It made me a little bit upset. They knew that I was in need of Internet, yet they never came up with the idea to inform me. If I had not called again I would never know. And if they did not want to, or have the time to, inform me specifically they could at least make some kind of public announcement about it in the elevators, on the TV-screens, or something.

It was a wonderful stay for us. This is our second stay at Novotel Century. The first time we went there, it was very crowded and there were demonstrations. We were warmly welcome by the check in staff and our request for upgrade (Gold card) was granted. The staff was warm and friendly and super efficient. Definitely a much better stay this time round as there place was less chaotic. The Airport Express bus stop right at the hotel and we were able to take it to the Central Station. Another reason to stay here.

« Birthday well spent in HK thanks to Novotel »

Despite my arriving a little early for check-in, the staff not only got my room ready quickly for me to check in earlier than usual but had also given me a free upgrade to a premium room and that was great seeing as it was my birthday during my trip to Hong Kong. They made me feel so welcomed and even got me a cake as well. Service was very top notch, nothing to complain about. The pool as comfortable as was the room and very clean. I can't wait to stay here again soon during my next visit to HK.
