Staff were extremely helpful at the check-in as I had booked 3 rooms for 4 pax. All of us slept well and enjoyed a nourishing breakfast before we sadly had to depart for home.

UNDERBRIDGE Friends getaway - 16/09/2019 TripAdvisor review

Access to local transport VERY GOOD. Access to Motorway network very good On site parking very good English speaking T V Channels available EXCELLENT Reception staff EXCELLENT Breakfast was what we have come to expect from the Ibis chain. It is still a pity tea / coffee facility is not available in the rooms.

We will not be returning to the Ibis Winterthur. We liked having the restaurant. It made a huge difference. The whole atmosphere on the first floor was changed. We also noticed that the carpeting on our hall floor was not clean. Small things make a difference.

The staff in general are too arrogant to respond to any queries,i have stayed in many IBIS hotels across Europe and Asia but have never been this dissatisfied. I complained for cooling problem(it was quite hot day) but Thomas from front desk said that he will get this done next day,i had to sleep with window open due to suffocating environment. The shampoo was not filled regularly and dustbin was only kept in bathroom,no dustbin in room. Please change your management and train your employees better.

Night stay was spur of the moment and we found the staff and the facilities were good. The Ibis was a short bus ride to the station. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and gave us a good nights sleep, the facilities were good.

Very good. My only problem was having to pay 20 CHF for a power converter. I had not realised you had different power plugs in Switzerland and I am sure I am not the first. In other hotels when I have experienced problems they had some spare which guests could borrow to for a while. Here I had to pay for one and it was not cheap. Besides that I found the place great.

The room was fine. To the standards I would anticipate. Check in was quick friendly and efficient. My problem was with the selection and availability of food and drink at the hotel. Neither of the draught beers were available this was down to neither of the staff being able to change the keg. I could hear gas escaping and was aware what the issue was how the keg was attempting to be changed. I made a meal choice that was apparently 20 mins later. Having then selected an alternative another 10-15 minutes passed before I was informed that this too was unavailable. The menu offering is hardly extensive and to find that a vast proportion of it was unavailable is extremely frustrating. But furthermore the delay in finding out that the choices were unavailable did not improve my experience. Whilst the young lady concerned was most apologetic and represented the company well she and her colleague did not have the experience to sort the beer problem ( that at 2200 hours the incoming member of staff rectified instantly.)

Some clear improvements since my last visit where my comments were a lot ... colder. Welcome was personalized which makes really feel like a priviledge guest. The hotel is conveniently located very near (3 busstops away) to the city centre of Winterthur. Equally very near to the main train station with very regular connections to -amongst other- Zürich and Zürich Airport. It has a parking facilities and the rooms are clean and functional. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
