« Nice place to stay »

I liked the fact that rooms are renovated and have air conditioning as summer in Europe can be quite hot and uncomfortable. The team is nice and helpful. There was a weird smell at the reception lounge during my whole stay though.

« It was great. I came in crying as my trip to geneva started off not great but it ended up be very nice because of the staff assisting me around the area. »

The staff during my entire stay was awesome. I got to talk to some and they really enjoy working for the company and it really shows on how they treat all the customers.

« reasonable hotel, unacceptable service regarding WiFi »

The hotel itself was quite reasonable, albeit a bit smelly, but opening a window (which is only acceptable on the rooms pointing away from the highway - otherwise the noise was too loud) cleared the bad smells. Service was OK, until we got to the issue of WiFi service. The instructions said to register with a phone number, which will give us a code to connect. This simply didn't work, and gave us "connection error" messages (on all our devices). We went to reception, which promptly gave us printed codes to use instead. The codes didn't work either - again "connection error" messages. At this point, the receptionist said there is nothing he can do, and it is not his problem, and the service is by SwissCom, so we should complain to them, and he refused to escalate the issue to the manager by phone, saying that if we want internet access we can go down to reception where there are internet computers. No matter what I said, he wouldn't budge, and insisted he should do nothing to solve the issue (he did give us more printed codes, which didn't work either). Only after long arguments, the other receptionist suggested we try his (French) phone number to get the code by SMS, which surprisingly worked. At this point we guessed that the code-by-SMS only works with European phone numbers, and that the printed codes simply didn't work. Unfortunately he agreed to do this only to one of us (we were 4). Bottom line - The system of connecting to WiFi is unacceptable (why not give a single code to all guests? why use codes at all? this is 2018, isn't it?), The fact that it doesn't work with non-European phone numbers is beyond unacceptable, and the service we received regarding the issue is preposterous.

Staff helpful and competent. Shuttle from and to airport worked well. Would use again if needed accommodation near airport. A better experience than IBIS Styles at Geneva Station.

« SERVED THE PURPOSE »

Stayed for one night as had early morning flight. Standard Ibis hotel, clean room with modern decor, comfortable bed, functional bathroom and a view of aircraft comings and goings. For Switzerland, the room rate was acceptable value. The reception staff were welcoming and informative regarding local transport to / from Geneva centre and shuttle services to airport. . Check-out was straightforward. In what can only be described as non eventful , our only gripe was access to the hotel from Geneva airport / train station. Although the walking distance is only 10 minutes, a lack of visible signage combined with poor ibis signs actually on the hotel - make life difficult. It is noted that there is a free airport / hotel shuttle service - if one knew where to find it - when arriving . Enjoyed our stay and our brief visit to Geneva.

I needed a quiet and clean place, friendly staff, close to GVA with a reasonable price. This was my third stay in the airport IBIS (business or leisure) and I have given them always a "10." Will be there for a 4th time ....

Nice smart hotel, quiet room even though near to airport , comfy bed and good bar. Staff told me about a quick train from airport Into the centre, which saved me loads of time. Also very helpful having a shuttle bus.

« Doesn't stand out but Doesn't disappoint »

Check in was easy and friendly and I was happy the staff spoke English. The Car park was underground and was very very tight. I had a large hire car and was very concerned I might knock it. The room was very clean and very functional however you get what you pay for and the room was basic with no tea or coffee making facilities, no wardrobe (just a rail on the wall) and the bath room was a very interesting toilet and show cubical in the corner of the room.

« Almost Could Not Get on Shuttle from Airport to Hotel »

Shuttle chauffeur was not friendly or helpful when we were picked up at airport. The chauffeur demanded very firmly to see hotel reservation before he allowed us to load our luggages in shuttle. REQUIREMENT OF RESERVATION upon boarding the shuttle was never communicated to me beforehand. Staff seemed to be friendly and willing to help. The staff member checking us in gave us info on shuttle schedule. Room is clean and comfortable. However, only 2 large towels are provided in the room. No hand towel or wash cloth is provided.

I expected the hotel to have two-star amenities and that was fine. Room and shower layouts were fine. Breakfast staff were kind. Bar attendant in the evening was superb and a positive outlier in our Switzerland experience!!! Front desk staff were helpful. The shuttle driver was rude and left a terrible first impression of the property. He should not be in the hospitality industry. Having dealt with him alone was enough reason for me to regret staying at the Ibis versus any another airport property.

« It wasnt as good as I expected. »

I was disappointed that I was locked out of the room and at the reception I was being told that I didn't pay in front of other customers. I booked to stay for 9 nights and I paid for 7 nights hoping I could pay for the last two nights at departure. There was a misunderstanding. But even when I paid for everything, I was locked out until I came to the reception. This is not good. The hotel is nice but employees must respect clients. In addition, I am a member of Le Club

The hotel was easy to find, perfectly located at the airport. It was very clean, ample parking available as we arrived by car. A bit noisy since there was building activities next door.
