This was what I expected from Ibis - a comfortable room with no frills facilities. The staff was very friendly. I chose the locatikon because it was near the University, but found the hotel situated at a busy and soulless surburban intersection. Parking was good, but the situation highly unattractive.

« You charged me too much on my credit card »

I made an online reservation on website, total price 55,98 EUR, I used 2000 Member Points (=40€) to reduce the price, and it was accepted. So I paid at time of reservation 15,58€ and system told me, that I will have to pay 0,40€ (= 40 cent!) in the hotel. At time of departure (I used fast check-out) I saw on the e-mailed invoice, that you want to debit me 40,40€ on my credit card. So I made complaint to receptionist at time of departure, he told me, maybe they will not charge these 40€, as I used points. But now I verified on my AmercianExpress account that you indeed charged me these wrong 40,40€, and I am very unhappy. The 2000 points also are reduced from my A-club account. So I ask you, to send back via AmercianExpress these incorrect charged 40€, please immediately make a credit to my credit card. I wait your kind response and confirm. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was like a fridge when we came in, window was open and outside it was freezing. Later we understood why the window was open, because it smelled to weed. (drugs) The bathroom was not very clean and the shower part was quite small. Breakfast very highly priced so we decided to do that elsewhere. Last but not least, the hotel was quite difficult to find. Perhaps some more signs to be placed along the road ??

We apologise for the fact your room was very cold and was not up to our usual high standards, please inform reception immediately so that we may change you to one better suited to your requirements.Our hot buffet breakfast is €14 per person although we do offer a simple coffee + croissant for only € 4. Regarding the signage, we have sign posts and directional panels. But we are dependent on the local legislation in the sense that the restrictions are enormous. We can provide our GPS coordinates which are: N 50° 34' 3.77'' E 5° 33' 7.59''.<br> We really hope that we may be able to see you in the future for a more enjoyable experience. « clean and quiet »

We only stayed 1 night and it was very quiet. Rooms are clean and functional. There is an odd smell in the hallway which could be the carpet (?) Breakfast buffet had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and flexible - we needed to have breakfast before 6.00 am and they arranged it.

« Pleasant staff, clean comfy room, great breakfast but can be slow. »

Pleasant, clean room, quiet, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. The only negative was that on one day several of the cooked breakfast items (bacon etc) ran out and took more than 20 minutes to replenish. Also the egg boiler water level was low (only covered bottom half of eggs), which the staff assured me was correct, but the result was a half-cooked, half-near-raw egg. I'd also like to see a cloth napkin supplied to hold hygienically the loaf of bread from which guests cut slices themselves.

« Last minute stay »

We booked the room last minute. We arrive about 4 am at the hotel, there was a lot of parking space, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist. The room was nice and clean. The only disappointment was the price breakfast, it was advertised that from 10 am (late-) breakfast would be 9 euros a person, when we checked out we had to pay the full price because in the weekend late breakfast would start at 11am (although this was not advertised anywhere. We paid the full price but are quite disappointed by the way things went.

« Great value, superb service »

We recently stayed at the Ibis Liege Seraing for the F1 GP at Spa, as did quite a few other quests. Hotels typically are incredibly expensive around F1 events, and this was by far the most reasonably priced place we could find; in talking with other guests there for the F1 GP they also had the same opinion. It is a little out of the way, but is in a lovely area, and especially Tilff is simply charming. By far the best part of our stay was Sebastien, who was on duty for several of the times we were at the hotel, including when we checked in. He is just such a nice, welcoming, friendly, pleasant, helpful, and efficient person it was a truly delightful experience. I have stayed at many Ibis hotels and always have found the staff to be extremely good, however Sebastien is in a class by himself. He made the whole stay special.

Excellent - very clean and spacious room and absolutely lovely staff. Only complaint would be we were not informed breakfast was extra (and the cost) when asked if we wanted it. Was not made clear this would cost us extra.
