« Bed not made »

Checked in late, they offer a 24 hour check in service, to find the bunk bed had not been made and the linens were tossed on top of the bunk in bags. It may be budget but I expect basic levels of service. Also given we were in a three person room a glass shower door leading straight into the room was less than ideal.

« The staff is not friendly. Check in was a bad experience. »

Staff has no experience. I waited around an hour to check in. Housekeeper get in the room without knocking the door after an hour of my check in.

« Ideal for exploring the city without breaking the bank »

We had a great night stay in the Ibis budget Glasgow hotel and the staff were helpful and friendly. It is ideally placed for exploring the city and surrounds as close to public transport links and with parking, entertainment and restaurants a step away we couldn't have asked for more.

« very good »

We felt very comfortable with all the facilities available in the room. the room was neat. However we felt that the bathroom and toilets could be little more roomier - can have little more space.

« highly unsatisfactory »

BAD,BAD.BAD HOTEL.FELT MORE LIKE A HOSTEL THAN A HOTEL.ON THE BRIGHT SIDE VERY CLEAN,HELPFUL STAFF A HASSLE FREE EXPERIENCE BUT A CHEAP CHEAP FLAKY HOTEL'.SUGGEST THE MANAGEMENT LOOK TO FRANCE FOR INSPIRATION ON HOW A GOOD IBIS HOTEL SHOULD LOOK AND FEEL AS THEY ARE A PLEASURE TO STAY IN.

« Rather hot! »

We regularly stay at the Ibis Budget, Springfield Quay and normally have a pleasant stay. This time the air conditioning did not work in our room, which made it unpleasant due to the hot weather. The other disabled room on our floor also had a non working air conditioner, so we could not move to that room either. My rating would have been higher if not for the heat in our room. As usual the staff were very pleasant and professional

« Overpriced!! »

Paid £214 for 2 nights but should have been half the price if not lower. The room was unpleasantly stuffy and the fan was so loud but didn't help cool us much. The room resembled a hospital room with a prison cell window. The beds were uncomfortable and left me with a sore back. I was disappointed there was no kettle with tea/coffee sachets provided. The plug sockets were in the corner, miles from the mirror. When coming home from the festival I was shocked to be asked my name and room number to enter the building, never ever experienced anything like it.

« Completely Underwhelmed »

Our room wasn't cleaned when we arrived, there were stains on the bedsheets, a pair of shoes left in the room and no toilet paper. We also later found out that the air conditioning didn't work. We were in Glasgow for TRNSMT so we weren't bothered about being in the room during the day but at night when we returned all that had been done was the beds had been made. On the second day our room keys stopped working and the staff gave us new ones that still didn't work. As the days went on our room still wasn't cleaned. The shower's handle could've also been better thought though as it's essentially a crotch level peephole. Overall the hotel was alright for what we needed, but not good and I would question whether the term 'budget' even comes into it at the price per night. I have experienced better in different cities with the same chain and will not be returning to this hotel.

« Great hotel! »

Great hotel, very reasonably priced. Friendly staff and easy check in/out. 12 o'clock check out time and juices on sale in the hotel reception meant a convenient stay overall.

Good location short walk to glasgow central station and main shopping / nightlife. Plenty of facilities right outside hotel. pubs, restaurants, cinema gym, costa etc. Room clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful, Only downside was whilst I appreciate it is a budget hotel a kettle and some cups would have been nice in the room even if guests provided thier own tea/coffee.

« Awful experience  »

y friend & I stayed for one night while on a trip to Glasgow. The room was absolutely boiling, unhygienically hot. We had the worst sleep as although the window was open, it made no difference as you can only open it a little bit for safety reasons (which is understandable) . We were awake half the night because of the heat making it very uncomfortable. I eventually called reception at 0700 to ask for a fan & was advised it was unusually hot in Glasgow that morning & there was no fan. It was 13°c & raining so definitely not hot outside. I know you can't control the weather but this is awful, the air cooling system in the room is useless as it seems to just churn out the same hot air in the room, not cool it. We dosed back off & were both wakened by the tv switching itself on at 0810 blaring! The beds are not even single beds, they are tiny & added to the uncomfortable situation we found ourselves in. Nowhere on your website does it say these beds are narrower than average! My 9 year old son who is very neatly built would have trouble getting comfortable in the bed but you expect grown adults to sleep in them?! The toilet was literally a cupboard with no vent, really not nice at all & is very uncomfortable to be in as so closed in. There was half a very cheap, thin toilet roll left for us. The shower space is an absolute catastrophe - although I was staying with a good friend, we generally do not want to see each other naked however your shower left us with no option as it is so small with an awkward door that you have to step out into the room to get your towel, not an ounce of privacy! The motto on the Ibis Budget website is 'Dream Sleep Dream Price' but I'm sorry to say that is absolutely untrue. My friend & I work hard & deserve a break. We decided to stay in the hotel so we were rested after a night out at Glasgow Green. Instead of being rested & ready for work & family life the following days, we were both exhausted. Going back to the motto, 'Dream Price', £127 (including breakfast) for 2 people is not good value for money considering the room we were given. I am actually considering going to Trading Standards as we were totally ripped off regarding the website photos & information versus the real thing. The only thing I can praise the hotel on was the reception staff were very nice & polite. Unfortunately no matter how nice they were, it didn't help our situation.
