« Youngsters running around the floors all night no sleep at all »

For the size of the room cleanliness was dissatisfying ledges were dusty and underside of bunk that we looked upon was sprayed with what looked like coke and could've easily been wiped. Not nice to see. Although sheets were clean they were a very off white colour also which could've been avoided. Otherwise staff nice breakfast good. Reception were aware of youngsters running around through the night when we complained but were trying to find out who was responsible. Hotel central for our need s although we stay in Glasgow once a month this was our first visit to your hotel and felt let down paying 70 for one night and not getting any rest.

Not great! From the very beginning when we contacted to book an early check-in as we were due to be at a booked engagement at 2:30pm, and obviously still had to get ready, everything seemed fine, until we arrived... No note of any early check in, no rooms available, nothing...had to sit and wait in the reception/breakfast area while someone cleaned a room for is to stay in! When we got there the room was TINY! I know that you get what you pay for, but really, it was ridiculous! Going to the bathroom made me claustrophobic!! In addition the room had a vent in it which let every single sound from the outside(cars going by constantly, as well as the outdoor fans/industrial equipment working) and had no way to stop the sound coming through, drown it out, or anything. All in all a horrendous nights stay!

Upon calling the hotel, the early check-in procedure should have been clearly explained to you - we apologize if this was not the case. The hotel cannot guarantee an early check-in. Early check-ins are an additional service that we offer to our guests which depends on our availability; the same applies to late check-outs. Guests are advised to call either the night before they are due to arrive or on the morning of arrival to enquire if a room would be available. Furthermore, we are sorry to read that you were not satisfied with the hotel accommodation. Ibis budget hotels are built for functionality and there are several pictures on our website which give a clear view of the hotel rooms. The onus is on the guest making the reservation to be aware of what they are booking. Fantastic. Bunk bed is great novelty for my son. Room was safe and little noise from other rooms. Breakfast was really good value for money. Loved the free wifi and shower was powerful. I will definitely be back.

Hotel room was basic but clean and comfortable. Communal area was very good and useful to have access to a microwave. Appreciated complementary croissant in the morning. Staff very helpful. Free parking was a bonus especially as the hotel was so near to the city centre.

As someone was illegally smoking in the room the fire panel went off. Before we could go to the room the full fire evacuation alarm went off as well and it was because the room had to much smoke in it. As the safety of our guests is our number one priority we do need to do a full evacuation in these situations. While i understand this is not convenient we do not want to take any risk and I am glad to see that our team members as well as the fire brigade reacted with professionalism. Well on arrival the receptionists where very welcoming and very efficient. And that’s where the nice ends. On opening my door I noticed the floor was dirty with big smear marks all over it. My first night I woke up freezing and itchy as the windows where closed but when they where fitted weren’t sealed properly leaving the room cold and the noise of the traffic coming through I know this as I’m a joiner. Also there is a slow run from the toilet which after 30 mins gets very annoying. Day 2 I went to sleep woke up again scratching like mad went for a shower and went to work only to feel not well so phoned my docs and they had an appointment for that day. Went to my docs I thought I had chicken pox or measles as I felt I’ll and itchy only to be disgusted by telling me that my spots where actually mite bites. Absolute horrified I went back to hotel packed my bag and left never stayed the 3rd night. A company like ibis with the standard of a Blackpool bed and breakfast and £120 for the pleasure of it.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, 10 minutes walk from hydro, next to cinema and restaurants, the rooms are basic but you get what you pay for and breakfast is included which is a bonus, we didn't like the triple room as the double bed has a bunk bed above which feels quite clostraphobic, although we did book a double room but got a triple for some reason, no explanation as to why, toilet is tiny as well, but staff were friendly, so almost perfect apart from bunk bed and tiny toilet.

Staff good, room fine, but we experienced problems when my husband got stuck in the lift. 4 people in the lift which did not move but the doors would not open. Alarm button pressed eventually member of staff got door open.

« A bit let down by polotics »

Arrived only to find out my reservation was for another night. Unable to change booking even though it was £20 cheaper ! Passed from pillar to post by reception but still not sorted. I still have a booking for June which is not needed however I will be staying away before then and not sure I would consider Ibis in future.

For the price paid for the hotel room, the service and overall experience was great! From friendly reception staff, free tea and coffee to surprisingly comfortable beds, I can’t fault my stay! Would definitely recommend as an ideal place to stay in glasgow that doesn’t break the bank.

The hotel is situated in a good location and easy to find with plenty of amenities close to hand (cinema, restaurants, casino, ect). The staff were very friendly and helpful. However the room was far too basic for our liking. One double bed one small chair and a small shelf and two electric sockets. I know this is a budget hotel but I think you could have provided some extra shelving space in the bedroom and bathroom.
