Basic but comfortable room. Booked in quickly and easily. Friendly staff. However, not enough room in breakfast area and not enough staff to remove and restore crockery, cutlery and food.

For a "budget" hotel the price was ridiculously high: £104 per night which supposedly included the loyalty discount, but £5 is not 10% of £109. This was made worse by the fact that an illuminated sign outside the hotel offered rooms for £45. Previous visits to this, and other hotels in the chain, have always been satisfactory but this experience encourages one to look elsewhere!

« Nice room for the price »

It was a great room for two adults and child. Not so great for 3 adults. I would also suggest having a plug close to mirror and sink for hairdryer and curling iron(just a small suggestion). I also didn't particularly like the set up with the shower directly into room. I think a little more privacy would have been nice. The free coffee and tea was nice but I wasn't allowed to just buy a muffin. I had to buy the whole continental breakfast. That was a little disappointing.

« Good, clean, budget hotel. »

We stayed for two nights, myself and my teenage daughter, to do some sightseeing and shopping in Glasgow. The hotel was just fine for our purposes, the room was clean and spacious enough for the two of us and the complimentary tea/coffee in reception was welcomed. Glasgow itself was a good 30 minute walk from the hotel but we knew that before we booked. We went to the cinema during our stay which is right next door to the hotel. There are also lots of restaurants on the complex; we dined at Frankie and Benny's one evening. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but did buy a couple of drinks from the adequately stocked bar in Reception. Would stay here again, free parking a definite bonus.

The accomodation was very budget, I even needed to make my own bed. No hairdryer and a very basic but expensive breakfast. The hotel was clean, but expensive for what it was. I was informed that due to the bed being the top bunk, due to hygiene reasons and health and safety reasons the staff do not make the bed. These reasons would be the same reasons for a customer not to make the bed. Could staff make the top bunk first (standing on the lower bed wearing protective overshoes), then once the top bed is made then make the lower bed. I had to stand on nice clean covers to make the top bunk. If it's health and safety surely it's more unsafe for a customer who has not had training to make the bed. This did not make me feel welcome to the hotel. I also paid for breakfast, but in the morning no one checked if I had paid. It was also a very limited breakfast for the price. Staff were friendly and it was clean. Also the map at reception did not have the SSE Hydro on it. The staff member was great and drew the way on the map for me, however this seems silly as the next person asked the same question. The reason I picked the hotel was due to its close proximity of the hydro (the search engine puts it as one of the close ones in walking distance) surely this is why people pick it. Maybe the map should be updated.

« Too cramped for three »

Room was very clean but very basic with little space to move about. Really shouldn't be sold as family room. As elderly grandparents travelling with granddaughter we found there was very little privacy for changing, going for a shower or and to the toilet, with no lock on the door and barely enough room to turn around. One night would have been enough.

I usually like Ibis budget - good values; spotlessly clean; i enjoy your breakfast. this trip was rather expensive (OK - demand from a conference pushed up utilisation.) Unfortunately, breakfast - usually a highlight for me - was not upto par. One of the coffee machines was bust, and a lack of the usual baguettes took the shine off the experience for me.
