« Helpful staff, tired rooms. »

The staff were very helpful, but the rooms were very tired and could do with an update. Breakfast area didn't have many tables and was quite cold (maybe air con related). Also, we were going to be charged £1 to store our bags for a couple of hours, so instead we didn't check out until we were ready to leave.

Lovely firm beds, lovely firm pillows nice soft and warm duvet. Fabulous choice for breakfast, hot food was hot. Nice touches to have raisins, granola, fruit coulis. Tables cleared quickly. Nice to be able to have early check room. Only fault was fan did not work in pod and door did not close properly. Asked about fan at reception and lady said it probably comes on spasmodically !!!! As bed and breakfast were all fantastic wasnt bothered about fan problems as only stayed two nights this time.

The experience was horrible and I feel like I was humiliated by the way the receptionist handled my booking and my personal belongings which included my military uniform and my personal belongings. when I made the reservation online it would not take my card so called the reception to take the pay over the phone using the same reference number and it was for two nights. when I arrived I spoke to the lady on reception and asked about car parking and I told her that I was staying until sunday night,morning. I left for town on Saturday Went site seeing and left all my military kit and my partner's clothes under ware in the room un parked because we were coming back just to be told rudely that out items had been moved and had to pay more expensive for a twin room of which I found strange as they would have just left my stuff in the room and made me pay for the same room as I would not leave my Army uniforms and my boots and bags and my partner's beloging. I would like to put a form complaint .so please advise.my patners phone charger went missing ,

« A nightmare. »

I sent in 4 complaints now: 1) I requested for a quiet room since I was writing an exam the next day. They gave me a room which had emergency exit on the door. the Room was facing the high street with cars passing and people talking loudly most of the night. My room was also next to the elevator, which also woke me up a few times. As soon as I entered the room I was so shocked at the high noise level, I immediately phoned the receptionist who told me she had only one other room which was directly below mine and even more noisier. I asked her if they had read my requests when I booked the room as a member of Accor, I was shocked to hear that they did not read the request, I was even more shocked to her that she thought that my original room was given away to a quest who was happy with the noise in the room. 2) I requested for vegetarian Breakfast. I asked for vegetarian sausages which they did not have. I went to get some eggs and tomatoes only to find that guests were using the same utensils for the meat that they were using for the eggs. I explained to an Ibis employee at the breakfast section who could not understand English

« Good position, pleasant hotel »

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel when she was on a training course. We travelled to Hull by train and this hotel is only a short distance from the station. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Our room was a twin, which consisted of a large bed and a single. The bathroom is fine, with a walk in shower. We didn't eat at the hotel as there are numerous eating places around. Our favourite is the New garden Chinese restaurant on Anlaby road.

« No frills perfect »

Needing an overnight stay we wanted No frills This we got at the hotel and some. The evening food was good, the breakfast was fantastic and so much choice. All the staff were great. Our only criticism is the lack of a decent drop off point at the side of the hotel not on the main road We would certainly stay here again

The stay was as usual, good, clean and efficient. However Saturday night/Sunday morning was hampered by unruly guests at 4am. I realise that it can be out of the hotels control but it did disturb my stay. I did notice that the security has been relaxed in this hotel whereby the room key-card is now NOT required to gain admittance to any of the floors??
