My company in Switzerland pre-paid the room, but they did not accept and made me pay again saying they "will cancel the debit in the card in 45 days", this is an absurd! We always choose Mercure on our trips, but no longer.

Dear People of Accor hotels, Mercure, Fortaleza, Brazil. Please take my comments in relevance to work in upgrades in quality issues. - Today is already 03 days from my sty (checkout) at Mercure Fortaleza and no receipt delivered to my e-mail (Nota Fiscal), but for my surprise a Survey already delivered to my e-mail, that is a important point to be on time for business trip's. - Insects (cockroach) observed twice at my room, during my stay, from 11-09-18 to 14-09-18. Thank you all.

« Comfortable but noisy room. Invoice not received yet. »

The room is comfortable, needs some repairs and revitalization though. It is noisy, not only because of the avenue in front of it, but also there are some noises in the corridor that sounds like a compressor, a pump or something. Did not receive the invoice yet, and it seems that I'll have to call the front desk to request (again).

Check-in process was good and quick, very kind staff. Bed clothes wasn't changed, even asking for it through the required Card over the pillow. The ground floor was flooded on the last day and staff didn't provide any immediate action, being requested by my colleague to them reinforcing the risk of falling/damage to guests.

Great location, clean room, Staff friendly. breakfast is great, they have someone making TAPIOCA for you. tapioca is a typical food from Ceara. I ways stay at mercure fortaleza-ce, I absolutely recommend this place.

« Horrible experience in various senses! »

I had quite a forgettable stay in this property, having experienced several problems I do not think would return. For the only desktop computer, on January 15, 2018 in the evening, there was a couple using it for an extremely long period of time and it was the first time that the Front Desk did absolutely nothing in order to have those users being respectful of others time.... After kindly asking that couple to allow me to use the desktop computer, they refused to do it and pointed out their "right" to use it indefinitely... after that I complained to the Front Desk and Mr HAINE was fully disregarded and indifferent towards my claim. Moreover, Mr. HAINE became rude and unpolite towards me, he stated that any guest can use the desktop PC without any time limitation! I find this to be against the rules of other hotels that usually request not to extend the time usage beyond 15 minutes when other guests want to use it. Mr. HAINE was challenguing and cheeky, to say the least. Regarding this issue, the hotel Manager had an impersonal attitude. I was also dissapointed when I earned that the hotel has a policy that seems to be standard in Brazil in the sense that the guest has to bring the payment card used, something that was not told to me in any way. That caused the prepayment to be cancelled with all the inconveniences originated. The good traits of the hotel, such as brand name and central location including beach proximity turnet out to be unimportant in relationship with the aforementioned troubles.

Mercure Meirelles hotel was frustrating from the very beginning as I had to cancel the pre-payment because front desk told me it is mandatory in Brazil to bring the credit card used for the payment. In conclussion, I had to shorten my stay as I did not feel confortable with the situation at all! Another extremely dissapointing fact was the issue with another guest making an excepcionally long usage of the ONLY desktop computer in the hotel. Despite my repeated requests to allow me to use the desktop computer after 2 hours of their continued use, I somplained to the Front Desk but I was completely surprised by the rude and unpolite "response" given by Mr. HAINE and his partner on January 15 at night: they "washed their hands" stating that any guest can make a continued usage of the desktop computer without any limitation, which is ridiculous in extreme!!! When I asked the Complaint Book of the hotel, Mr. HAINE had a disregarding attitude challenging me by stating that Mercure Meirelles hotel does NOT have a Complaint Book!! Unbelievable as all hotels must have it as Comsumer Protection Law obligues them to have one. Mr. HAINE had a fighting behaviour several times as well as his colleague. At this stage, it is to point out that the Mercure Meirelles should incorporate at least one or two additional desktop computers.

From the beginning to the end, staff were completely unfocus, repetitive, slowly and kind of annoying. had to stay at the 1st floor although there were more rooms in higher levels, know that because colleagues from work got to the hotel after me and got better floors. Air conditioner very noise, sometimes the AC stopped for no reason. No Disturb sign at the door, horrible gyn, old equipments. At the check out, I left my luggage at the the desk, did not receive any password and when retrieving it the employee were very confused. To sum up, this hotel never again.

I stayed in a room where the air conditioner box was covered with pigeon feces which caused me discomfort while trying to sleep. I was coughing for two nights and my face was swollen in the morning, I thought I had allergy. My brother who is a doctor came to see me during the day and he heard the pigeon on the window. Immediately he asked the front desk to move me to another room. They upgraded me to a beautiful room that did not have pigeons. It was a nice gesture bc they wanted to compensate me for the trouble; however, the problem you have at your hotel worries me bc I could have got a pulmonary infection and so your other guests. It is a shame that your hotel do not inspect the rooms for the safety of their guests.

No clean towels Messy and with really lownquality breakfast Air conditioning do not work properly Wi fi only works in the lobby I will NEVER stay there again! I had problem since the check in, when the receptionist gave the keys for an OCCUPIED ROOM WHRE I FOUND A LADY IN THE SHOWER!!! I will probably sue the brand! So expensive for such a trashy service

Room was clean and very, very modern and nice. Excellent amount of furniture and electrical outlets. Front desk person told me that breakfast was included in my rate but final receipt shows I was paying for breakfast. Also, there was other restaurant charges for beer on my bill and I do not drink alcohol..!!

The impression one has is that the hotel needs an urgent makeover: room was poorly painted, smelling of old and bad bathrooms. This hotel is in disrepair of others of the same MERCURE brand. It really does not make up for the cost x the benefit.

I thought the structure of the hotel is quite old and it didn’t smel very well. I also didn’t like the fact that I asked for an outlet 110v they reserved it but it never came.

I am a customer of Mercure Hotel around the world, at this experience i can say, it was regular, the room is clean but the acabament of decoration is so far from Mercure base line. The restaurant is terrible, few options of menu and the quality of food was poor. This experience could be more better.

For two days I had not hot water. When I did the check in it was not informed that there was no hot water in the hotel and when I ask to the attendant he said no worry. Another point is about the receipt ( nota fiscal ), that I did not receive until now.
