Stay was fine, however I could not understand why the parking charge for guest. Novotel does not. I am also still waiting for my invoice

I was check in at 3rd floor room, but the Central Air-Cond was totally not working, the room is really hot, and then I have to require to switch another room which changed to 5th floor, with an individual room air-cond, and it is good. But from the ground floor only one elevator access the 5th floor, so that you have to Wait patiently until this elevator at the ground floor but another have to stay at other floors. This design was really not good. The breakfast is good.

The room was lovely and very large with four windows and a very big terrace. The room was very good value and the reception staff were all very attentive. I would have liked real glasses and cups, not plastic and cardboard to drink the items in the minibar and the coffee

No air conditioning for the week!

Very disappointed that my room had no air conditioning that functioned for 8 days. The staff claimed that maintenance looked at the problem and it was fixed then they couldn't fix the issue. Was given a fan as the solution. Was never offered a discount or help finding a different hotel. Normally woudln't be a big issue by the week of my stay the weather was extremely warm.

When we arrived the room that we were allocated was like an oven. The air conditioning was not working it seemed to be broken. The second room was cool but faced the rather busy road. The staff tried to be helpful but this hotel is needing an upgrade, It has no restaurant and it is a long distance to the nearest one unless you want a McDonalds.

The bed was too hard for me, even though I like firm beds. I did not use the air conditioning because it was too noisy. The breakfast was OK, but the warm food was not properly cooked. The toilet room was tiny and separate from the bathroom. This is unhygienic as I then had to go through the hotel room to Wash my hands. 2 colleagues had leaks in their rooms. The elevator/lift was jerky, not smooth. The staff were helpful in guiding us towards sights and restaurants.

We were cycling to Paris, this was our last stop. We were tempted down to the bar with free drinks, welcome but they ran out of draught beer. Had booked 3 rooms with bathtub, one only had a shower, not a big deal but did not quite meat my expectations. Good breakfast.

improvement to Novotel Pontoise

The Hotel is clean and an improvement to the Novotel in Cergy (Smells really bad of cigarette smoke). the rooms in the Mercure are clean (although very hot) and quiet. the bathrooms are very small though. the car park is really not designed for bigger cars! and no other parking possibilities nearby.

The room was spacious and comfortable, although the leather chair was damaged and thus visually not very pleasing considering this was a 4 star hotel. For January, the heating could have been warmer and it seemed from the instructions available that it was possible to only put on cold A/C. The shower was lovely and everything was clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff helpful - I was able to check in already at 11am. The RER commuter train station and shopping facilities were just a short walk away.

By comparison with other Accor / Mercure hotels in France this one is not good value. The area is poor, spoilt by a lot of development in operation. Unable to control the temperature in the room other than by opening the window. The WiFi was so poor I could even stream BBC radio. The check in ladies were good but i felt sorry for them working in such dismal surroundings.
