all ok, the toilet seat was however broken in my room. Not sure how it can be if it gets cleaned everyday. Lack of customer service I think.

« Room for improvement »

My room was in a floor that had just been painted. The smell of paint was quite strong. I did not ask to change room, because it was quite late at night, but I could not understand why I had not been given a room in one of the other floors. Maybe they all had been painted, and in that case, there is room for improvement on the refurbish planning vs guests comfort. There were some obvious amenities missing from the bathroom. Good aspects: the room was nice, even if small, the bathroom was also spacious and clean, the shower was very good. The decor in the hotel lobby is very nice, and the personnel very pleasant. Checking-in and out was straightforward. Would return because it is conveniently near the train station, but would be on my guard.

« Nice clean room with a nice outlook. »

Check in and out very slick and easy. The only minor problem was a puddle on thd shower room floor on arrival and a sodden shower mat.

Shower too powerful and flooded the floor. Safe not working was reported but no action taken. Our floor redecorating in progress dust sheets and exposed wiring outside our room.

« Convenient location but unusual (for Mercure brand) shortcomings in room space and breakfast provision. »

Friendly reception and quick check-in. Room quite compact with unusual lay-out of bedroom/shower room configuration, separated by a curtain. Unfortunately, the room allocated to us was located on a corridor undergoing décor etc. maintenance (in fairness, this inconvenience was mentioned during the check-in process). Dust from sand-paper usage was highly evident and marked clothing on access to and exit from the room during 'working hours' and no doubt some personal inhalation. Inevitably when in the room during 'working hours', maintenance noise was evident, though the workmen themselves attempted to keep levels as low as possible. Whilst breakfast had a variety of foods available, the scrambled egg ranged from being too 'runny' on the first morning and cold and runny the second morning. Under the circumstances, the room and breakfast rates for the two-night stay were on the high side. We also made the mistake of having a coffee, ordered and served in the hotel Bistro and consumed in the exterior-located Bistro area on the afternoon of arrival - the small coffee was luke-warm and we were charged an over-priced nine euros for the privilege. On the plus side, the hotel is conveniently located for site-seeing and cultural visits, is within a few minutes walking distance of a range of restaurants and the Nantes tram service for access to other longer distanced tourism-related activities/events. Paid underground car parking is available.

« Good location and excellent breakfast. »

The airport shuttle stopped right outside the hotel and it is well located at the station and near the historical centre. The room was too warm. The breakfast had lots of variety and the quality was excellent. Reception staff need to acknowledge guests waiting when they are on the telephone.

It was very enjoyable as everyone was friendly and helpful. However when people want to stay an extra night the costs should be stated so you can decide whether to stay or not. Personally I think you should keep the price of the motel the same as when you first book it if you want to stay extra days so you don't get a shock when you pay. Thanks for your hospitality. « expensive, poor quality »

Convenient location by centre and railway station. Greatly overpriced - a better standard of facility is on offer a few hundred metres away at less than half the price. Room safe couldn't be opened - computer wouldn't allow it. Kettle in room broken lid. Toilet roll holder falling off the wall. Cramped and badly designed - toilet door and exit doors clashed.

« Internet is just not working and basic rooms are quite noisy »

The internet is just not working although signal strength is strong and no matter at what time you try. Awful. The basic rooms close to the train station are noisy and you shouldn't expect a long night. Also the A/C system in the room is noisy

Apart from the difficulty in locating the hotel by car, the rest of the stay was very acceptable. The Privilege room was spacious and very comfortable. The private parking facility under the hotel was very convenient.

Mostly good. Not a fan of King splits unless they have some sort of mattress cover so you can barely feel it is a king split. Staff very good. Look of reception and lounge area fantastic. Restaurant good.
