Ordering one glass of wine took 20min to get it. No blame to service personnel but this would not have been reported if only the AC in the room was working correctly. I don't think it is really acceptable in a 4* hotel for not being able to adjust the room temperature as we want. I like it fresh but not possible to adjust it. My night experience was bad and travelling the next day not fully rested as expected by staying in your classy hotel did not help at all.

Sink was blocked so the water hardly go trough. Water outlet of toilet was dirty. Room Number 207. We have waited more than one hour for our order at the restaurant. Waiters were kind and quick, but I feel that kitchen is not enough to cover order of people.

« everything good but the room a bit small »

The location and general provision, including the co-operation of the staff, was very good. However, I booked a room with 2 beds but they were very close together, even when separated, as the room was very small. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on the first night when we arrived. The breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive.

We arrived and were put on the 1st floor. There was loud music downstairs and all we could hear was bump,bump,bump. We complained and were moved to the top floor. We asked if there was a public computer we could use to check in our flight. We were told there wasn't and they had never been asked that question before. I might add that the previous two nights spent in a Campanile hotel there was just that facility. It was poor weather and being out of the centre we decided to use the restaurant. What a mistake. We had to take a table before 8pm as there was a big party coming in. The atmosphere was that of a cafe and the prices of the food and particularly the wine were over inflated. I wouldn't have minded if the food was good but mine was barely edible. Finally 4am the fire alarm went off. When a handful of us congregated downstairs a worried looking young man informed us there was no fire. How did he know ? I think the smell of toast gave it away. Definitely the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel and nothing would entice me to stay in one of your hotels again.

My experience should have been positive, as the accommodations were reasonable. Some details were woefully disappointing, though, creating an overall negative experience for me. The room was small, but the bed and other furnishings kept the size from being a problem. The television, primary restroom area, and other room details were average or above average. Housekeeping was effective, and all staff seemed friendly. Outside the room, the restaurant was good, breakfast was great, and the lobby was warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the room was made incredibly uncomfortable by some details. Most notably, the air conditioning in the room was either broken or inadequate, and the room was excessively warm my entire stay. I woke up every night with sweat dripping from my head. I attempted to remove the comforter and sleep with just a sheet, but there was no separate sheet. Eventually, I slept with the window open, though it was awkward to keep open and allowed substantial noise. (It's important to note that the heat issue was similar for a colleague of mine, so it was not an issue with my room.) In addition, the nice bathroom was made unusable for hours after taking a shower. The shower head could not be adjusted, and there was no shower door. After even a 5 minute shower, the floor was covered with water. The lack of ventilation meant the water would not evaporate for hours, even after wiping it up with a towel. Finally, the hotel wi-fi service was inconsistent, slow, and unusable at times. It often failed to load even basic web pages, and it would stop working numerous times. In this day and age, that is unacceptable. I will likely stay here again out of necessity, but these "minor" details made my stay very uncomfortable.

« Room was great but construction work immediatley outside room untill 22h00 in evening spoilt the epxerience »

Disappointed you do not warm customers of construction works. No real help to move rooms, just a shrug of the shoulders. I would say experience has diminished my trust in Mercure Brand.

Stayed for 3 nights. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good shower. WiFi very slow. Service at front desk slow and in restaurant was indifferent. Dinner service was particularly poor. On arrival to the dining room I was told that the menu was only in French which I can only guess was an attempt to put me off eating there. Service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Frustrating.

« Pleasant staff; disappointing facilities »

The room design was a surprise, with the shower in a clear glass cube that was visible from the rest of the room. Our son and daughter were staying in the same room, so we were very uncomfortable with the lack of privacy. You really need to correct this. Perhaps put much more frosting on the glass. Also the WiFi kept logging us out, and the speed was unacceptably slow. We have stayed in many Mercure hotels before, and I think this was the worst experience for the reasons noted above.
