No smile from reception. Otherwise efficient. A bit noisy in corridors through the night but it was Saturday. Room comfortable. Small for a family room but good value for money.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfy and quiet. Breakfast was very disappointing. The hot food was not very hot. The bacon and sausage where over cooked and dry and the scrambled egg swimming in water. Choice of fruit was limited to tinned oranges and most of the preserve jars where empty. We have stayed a number of times at this hotel and always enjoyed the breakfast but not this time.

I checked in at the hotel, rather than online as it re-requested my credit card to put a £50 hold on, totally unnecessary! The check in was faster than online as was the checkout! Received as requested on booking, a first floor room near the lift! Many thanks. Outside noise was eliminated by the sliding double glazing. However there was a draught from the outside extactor. The heating/air con unit instructions are confusing. Bathroom had a step up to go in. Shower was hot and good. A small hand towel with the 2 large towels would be good. Good hairdryer. Kettle with tea, coffee and milk. TV only had Freeview. Wifi was free but was 'open'. Hotel corridor was noisy from guests at the weekend in the early hours of the morning!

I am happy that your enjoyed your overall stay, however please accept my apology with regards to the Air Handling Unit (AHU) and allow me to explain; The AHU is not an air conditioning system. The AHU works in conjunction with the temperature outside to activate it either warm when the temperature drops below 13 degrees and cools the room when above 16 degrees, the in between is neutral and will not activate. We do have portable fans available on request at the reception point. I am very sorry if this was not explained or available at this time, please also accept my apology with regards to the noise on the corridors, we do have measures in place to resolve this as not all guests respect the quiet policy. After asking for a quiet room, although we were put in a room on the car park side of the building, we were very close to the lift, hence every time it was used it was noisy. This kept waking us up.

Smelly pillows

Check in was fine Room overall clean but the pillows smelt of ‘sweaty head’ argh I had to sleep with a towel over the pillow. If you open the window in room 328 all the cooking extraction system sends the cooking smell into the room and this goes on most of the time The kettle did not automatically switch off when it reached boil Was impressed with the shower/bathroom cubical. Otherwise good value for the price

Our stay yams good but very noisy stafe said it was heating pump we did not notice it on first night but very noisy on last night and got very little sleep

regular visitor to this hotel, staff welcome on arrival always there to help. Really disappointed with the booking cost as I am a regular I see the walk in price it disappoints me that I paid £61 more for the 2 nights and thats with Accor discount.

The hotel room was very cold for the first two nights, which we assumed was normal. However, on our last night it was so cold during the evening that I went down to speak with the receptionist. I advised her the room was so cold, and she came up to look and try to adjust the heating. This didn’t work, so I went down again and she was trying to contact an engineer, but couldn’t contact them. They offered us another room, which we went to see with the receptionist. However, this was just as cold, and (obviously) the heating didn’t work in there either. In the end we had to settle for an extra duvet which we sat with around us, and on the bed at night. Also, the night porter (if that the correct title) made so much noise and appeared to be talking on a radio or mobile device, this was each night, although the Sunday night was the noisiest that woke us both up a 4-30am. In fairness, the hotel was nice, comfortable rooms (except the cold!), breakfasts were great and the staff were lovely
