Nice welcome from the employees at the reception desk, everything was ready when I arrived. Very comfortable hotel, breakfast was great too. Just one thing can be better: Groom service is a bit too slow, it can take a long time to have the luggages in the luggage room.

Our experience staying at the hotel signed by the Sofitel brand was really bad. There were only two positive aspects of the stay - the location of the hotel was very good and the lack of upgrade was mentioned and compensated with second welcome drink upon arrival. The rest of the stay was not how we picture hospitality towards a Gold member of the Le Club Accorhotels program in a hotel this standard. It began upon checking in - my partner stood at the reception desk and waited while I was getting something from my car, whereas the check-in procedure has already begun. The hotel staff at the reception spoke Czech with each other (a man and a woman, the man started the check-in procedure), what is not so convenient for the hotel guest, who does not speak the same language and it is clear from the very beginning. The lady did not encourage my partner to stay in your hotel with her appearance either - she was not even looking at her, just talking to the man. We have also been invited to breakfast and advised how to reach the breakfast room – unfortunately the receptionist did not mention that would be additionally charge, because our rate did not include breakfast. I can perfectly understand it is the duty of the hotel staff to offer the guests as many additionally paid services as possible, but it is simply unfair not to mention that – the receptionist’s behavior suggested we should go ahead for the breakfast without a second thought. We got the room 232 - I am sure you know the location of the room very well. We understand it was not possible to upgrade the room category (although we know from previous stays in various Accor-hotels it would be possible to block a room before our arrival to give us the higher category - sometimes it is the matter of good will), but it is really your common practice to give the Gold member almost the last room on a very long corridor? If it would be so, this is very strange... There was also no welcome gift and no welcome letter from the hotel manager once we entered the room. A person from the hotel staff came with both things ca. 10 minutes later. Was it also planned to happen this way? This may be a little bit more personal to bring the gift, but why bringing the letter, if you can welcome the guest verbally instead of in a written form? Moreover not everyone enjoys being bothered this way. One more thing brought us to the conclusion the room was not prepared for us and certainly not prepared correctly - there was not even one bottle of water! We arrived in the middle of summer, so we expected to have a bottle of water in a 4-stars-hotel! Once we came back to the hotel around 11 pm. we asked for the water at the reception desk. The first answer was "the water should be in the room only on the arrival day" - we did assume this is the rule for all room categories in your hotel, but we may also conclude we do not look like people who would have booked a higher room category and this is why the answer was like that. Nonetheless both options are not what we would expect with MGallery brand, especially in summer... Looking at our previous stays in the AccorHotels chain and summing up the terrible experience we had in Century Old Town Prague MGallery by Sofitel as well as seeing the way of points calculation on my profile, we came to a bitter conclusion this is the treatment you are giving to the customers who burned the points and did not pay in cash. We do not see any other explanation for so many unpleasant aspects of our stay, when we compare them with our previous ones in even less prestigious hotels - there we really felt special, with you unfortunately not at all.

Everything was perfect;most friendly staff; good arco; splendid cleaning service of the room. Only one small negative point: only a choice of 3 different items on the main coursemenu at dinner for individual guests, however I found out that for groups there were about 5 choices.

Old building, modernized, and in a great location. Our room was small but did have very high ceiling, so it was comfortable.The hotel is situated in a good location in the old town, and a walk to Charles Bridge, you see many of its sites. We were there only 2 days and when we came back to our room after a long day walking around the city it was still not made up. We rested for an hour and went to dinner. On the way out we asked the women on the front desk to have the room made up. She seemed very accommodating, but when we returned after dinner and some shopping it was as we had left it. Disappointing!

My stay was OK, nothing great. Often seemed that I was an interruption to whatever else was going on at reception. I only went there three times - check in, check out and once to let them know at 5:00pm that my room wasn't made up yet. The team at breakfast were all friendly, particularly the guy at the door.

This was our first time staying at a MGallery by Sofitel hotel. It was a very good first impression. The room was modern and clean. Breakfast had a good assortment. The staff at the reception was always polite and ready to assist with any of our questions. The hotel is in a superb location with easy access to any of the main sites of Prague. We will return to this hotel again. We have a reservation at another MGallery hotel in Paris in a couple of weeks and we hope it will live up to the standard set by this hotel in Prague. Job well done!
