I arrived at the hotel and immediately at the reception found that the hotel does not take into account the suggestions written when booking. This situation did not appear in this hotel for the first time. I am in the Accor program and I felt worse than a street visitor. So why participate in this program ??? In addition, unpleasant service to people working at the reception. From this hotel I went to the Novotel Gdańsk Marina hotel and there the mega service was a plus. Nice to see you are expected.

The first room we got had a TV that would not be turned on, a Nespresso-machine that didn't work and a bed with a worn out matress. After we changed room the second day, everything was fine.

Two nights stay, over the weekend. Arrived late on Friday - the same old story again - the parking lot in front of the hotel all taken by non guests cars. The front staff nice but clueless - as always. No one knows why those cars are parked there, no one knows if there's another premiere night at the Musical Theater which is just across the street. I was trying once and for all to clarify who is the owner of that parking lot as it seems to me it's not supervised by the hotel in any way and guess what? - the people at the front desk didn't know. But how could they know in the view of the fact that non working air conditioning in my room left them puzzled too. I just DO NOT understand HOW no one at the front desk knows why the air conditioning is off. It's ludicrous considering that during my stay in spring it didn't work either. Back then I was told it was the scheduled maintenance issue. This time no one knew and what's worse - no one cared to get to know. I was just handed the consent form to sign which would allow me to open a window. Mind you - my room was on the 10th floor! What a blissful and memorable night it was though - people screaming and coursing outside in the near by disco clubs. Some of them completely drank - just imagine how loud they must have been since we could hear everything crystal clear with the windows open on the 10th floor! I know the climate is changing and its getting warm in Poland even in late October - and this is exactly the reason why I need an air conditioning in my room. The idea of opening the window on the 10th floor because the air conditiong isnt working and nobody at the front desk knows why is trully appaling. The breakfast was fine though - the brightest star in this hotel. As always. And it was so nice to see there once again Malgorzata - one of only few people there knowing what it means to make a guest feel special and appreciated. Too bad that notion is sort of exotic at this place. To be frank she is right now the only reason why we keep coming back to this hotel. Twice a year. At least. Always. I just don't know how much longer Malgorzata can be the only reason why we want to be back ....

Stayed 5 nights at the Mercure hotel in Gdynia and it was really good. Clean room. Good bed. Windows that can open. Restaurant was also good. Nice food and friendly staff. Also the breakfast buffet was really good. Staff at frontdesk was also really helpful.

Room was really poor. Nothong like pictures. Nasty smell in bathroom. Unfortunately staff couldnt understand me when I complained. Food was good but overall experience bad.

The wall next to the bed was really nasty - stains of something that has run down the wall … The mattress was worn out and my back has been aching a week after the three days stay at your hotel. Otherwise, food, reception were nice.

This hotel is a bit refreshed, has all you need for very short stay like 1 night. Shower fights to keep water pressure stable. Wardrobe need some repairs. When I bought stay with you I was missinformed by booking.com about 4* quality. Your cleaning service forget to leave towels for second person after first night. Well many basic factors make my stay less pleassed. The breakfast was great and reception desk works well.

Friendly staff, nice reception, bar area. Breakfast has a lot of choices. The room was ok, basic but fine for a couple of nights. Close to the waterfront/beach area and also the train station/town.

I have stayed at many hotels, but have never seen a hotel so strict about not giving the room before 3. Fine, it’s your hotel policy and I respect that. But a couple of things I would definitely like to point out about your housekeeping. There were 2 extra pillows in the cupboard, when we removed them to use we found they had been eaten up from inside because of the fungus on them. The toilet was choked and wouldn’t flush. Am surprised the housekeeping didn’t notice this when cleaning the room before giving it to us. The air conditioning in the room seemed to switch off at night, making it very warm in the room. So overall my experience was not very good with Mercure
