The hotel is in a good location, the staff were friendly and the restaurant and bar staff were excellent. However the room was dated (below par) 2nd floor, i believe the 4th floor had been refurbished. As a gold card member i have stayed in Accor Hotels in France, Greece, Holland, Italy, Poland (Gdansk, Lublin, Warsaw and Wroclaw) and the United Kingdom. The cleaning of our room was the worst ever, it was not hoovered everyday, the water glasses we used on our first night were never replaced with clean ones, nor did we receive new bottles of water in our room each day. I had intended to give some feedback when we checked out, but i wasn't even asked if we enjoyed our stay. Hopefully this feedback will help the hotel achieve the standards we normally receive during our stays at the Accor Hotel Group. Yours sincerely Keith R.

It was only one night stay. The hotel's location is perfect, its possible to walk to the city center. We recommend performances in Jelenia Gora Theatre. The room was upgradded for us, inside everything was on place. Breakfest was perfect.

We come to Jelenia Gora regularly to visit family and this was our first stay in the Mercure. We also hosted a family dinner for 12 in the dining room. We were very pleased with our suite (#300) and with the service and food. There are a few details that we noted for improvement: (1) Add shower curtains or enclosures ... the open shower is a challenge for us (2) Larger trash cans in the rooms and (3) More vegetables on the breakfast buffer .. especially baked beans or other high fiber options. We are looking forward to the air conditioning next time we come!

The stay was too short (only 1 night) but in general was good. The location perfect for what I needed. Perhaps the rooms require a refresh as they look a bit old. It seems that room 413 was not used for a long while a dust was everywhere, even inside the tea/coffee mugs.

Vacation20868599899 Solo travel - 29/05/2019 TripAdvisor review

When I stayed at this hotel, I have been given a room which more looked like a student room than a 3-star hotel room. I have payed about 40 EUR (171 PLN) for such a room. I could also hear the noise of the elevators almost all night long and couldn't really sleep. When I asked the reception staff if I could move to another room on the same evening, I felt that my request was not really taken seriously. I could finally move to a better on the next day but there were some problems with the cleaning staff which entered my first room despite the "Do not disturb sign" on the door and who took away some of my belongings and even through away my parking ticket. When I tried to get out of the parking without any ticket, I was told with an angry tone that I should get another ticket at the reception though I was at the parking lot gate trying to get out with my car. I have already sent two complaints to the Accor group customer service but I haven't received any answer so far (after about a week).

No special comment about my stay at the hotel, but I have been charged twice : 1 time at booking by Accorhotels.co and 1 time at the hotel. I did not really pay attention but now have to clall and explain and... lose a lot of time !!!

The hotel itself was clean and staff were friendly. We had breakfast each morning which We couldn’t fault. We ate dinner in the restaurant for 4 evenings out of the 5 we were there and the meals were reasonably priced although I wasn’t expecting, or very happy to find a baby crab in my king prawn tagliatelle! We were also overcharged on our last night when we didn’t have enough zloty to pay for our order at the bar so we paid some cash and the rest on our card, we needed to pay 24zloty by card which is approximately £5 gbp, on arrival home, and checking bank statement we realised they’d charged £24 and not 24zloty.

We have visited this hotel many times before. It was good to see that there had been an upgrade but disappointed that this only applied to the reception/lobby area and did not apply to the rest of the hotel. The room had a fridge which was good but the room was small and stuffy, had no air conditioning (and was stifling hot), the bed was a small double and had a memory foam mattress which was uncomfortable and made us even hotter and unable to sleep. I specifically asked for the room and bedding to be anti-allergy and when we got to the room found feather pillows. At reception they tried to argue that the pillows were anti-allergenic and it was only at my instance that they sent someone to change the pillows (she agreed that the pillows were feather and provided anti-allergy pillows) - this could have resulted in a hospital visit or worse. as it was it meant that my partner had a tight and sore chest. No-one from the hotel asked if everything was ok or if this was resolved. This is very disappointing. The room was not cleaned very well. there was dust on the tables and the towels were not changed just rehung still damp. The staff were awful, only concerned with completing the task at hand. When approached you are made to made to feel as if you are interrupting and their expression were of false smiles. Not very customer focused. We were unable to use the swimming pool due to the restricted opening hours (only morning or afternoon) we would have liked to have used it in the afternoon. Disappointed that you now have to pay for parking when there is free parking in the area and the paid parking does not even have any security. The breakfast was awful, limited choice, the orange juice was coloured water and not even orange. Eggs were watery. No strawberry jam. Limited fruit. Good location but I do not think that the service is that of what the Mercure/Accur standard.
