Novotel Katowice Centrum is located in a very good location, not far from many attractions. Lots of parking available for the guests, a gas station nearby where you can purchase a snack for a good price, Museum of Silesia is on the opposite side of the hotel. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable, good view, many tv channels, only 1 slipper in the Superior room for 2 guests and also only 1 set of cosmetics in the bathroom, no cotton buds. wifi wasn't very strong, the room is quiet. Breakfast was good for a four star hotel, big area, everyone got their own private place to enjoy the breakfast and many options but lack of bacon and the egg should be prepared better because it taste awful and cold. The only minus i would say is the blonde lady that was on the reception at night, she was very unfriendly and rude tone, she shouldn't be working in the front desk.

The location of the hotel is excellent .. The rooms are small and comfortable. The service is courteous. Breakfast is rich but price is expensive. The price of the hotel room is very reasonable, but the price charged for parking is excessive and unfair

The room was clean, organised to enable laptop-work, as well as full relaxation (with suitable furniture and light conditions), the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great. The food was tasty, with high selection and the service was just perfect.

The smoking hunting and not gayfriendly hotel!

The personal in rest, bar, cleaning was very good and nice. The personal in reception at saturday night was very bad. We had to wait 57 minutes in a line to one women in the reception with people in between kl am 00.00 - 00.57 for changing our hotel rooms key, who din´t work . We complain but it did´t help at all. Next evening a girl from reception phone the room and sad " our special guard have seen that you are smoking in the window and if you don´t come down to the reception right now and pay a fine, we will have you both, removed from this hotel this night". We went down and explain that non of us was a smoker and we had not smoked at the room, but the guy in the reception sad it was someone -else, and what we feel was that we had to pay nearly 500 Polish zloty under threat to not be removed from the hotel that night. We find that not acceptebil at all.We dit have the room cleaning one night. The breakfast was very good even if they din´t chanche the food anything from day to day. We sent a formular about the complains in the reception and ask to this in contact to us Accor hotels by help but they din´d even answered or get contact to us at all. We are very very dissapointed to the management in this hotel. This is the fact from two not smoking people who was punished by the hotel.

Dear Sir, I have read your opinion carefully and ordered a detailed analysis of the issues you described. To assess the situation impartially, I also asked to check the hotel monitoring. Unfortunately, we can’t agree with the information provided by you, because the recording from entrance of the hotel shows that one of You is a smoker. In addition, the time you said that you waited for the front desk service was 57 minutes, but the recording from the monitoring showed that it was 41 minutes shorter. I want to assure you that no Guest was ever told that he would be removed from the hotel. It is impossible. During your conversation with the receptionist regarding the smoking fee, a security guard was present and confirms, that such words were not spoken. I want to emphasize that all employees of our hotel fulfill their duties with full attention, and the professional service of our Guests is always a priority for us. We are very sorry that you took our actions in a very negative way, but they were reasonable and in accordance with the rules of our company and Fire Safety regulations. I stayed in Novotel for 10 nights, booked through by the badminton event organiser. I am a Platinum member of the Accor Hotel and had passed on my details to the event organiser. But during my 10 days stay I was told that my Platinum membership has no benefit in this hotel because my room was booked by a third party. Was disappointing. I came back to stay one night (after a few days touring around Poland) for my flight back to Australia. A little confusion with using my rewards points to pay for room. Good news I have a room upgrade, bad news as a Platinum member I still have to pay for breakfast! All in all, the staff were great!

Convenient location (for me), staff spoke good English and were helpful. Room modest, view grim and one night interrupted by WW2 re-enactment. Breakfast uninspiring.

Staff was attentive, room clean but nothing really stood out. Felt slightly like mundane excercise in box ticking by the operator. In Krakow or Wroclaw they are able to put this "Welcome by Accor" spark, here - not so much. From the downsides, with two persons on reservation, both second set of bathrobes and slippers had to be requested at the reception, and at no point during our 3 night stay tea, coffee, mineral water or toilletries were being refilled or even asked about whether we need them to by the staff.

Lack of working air conditioning and inability of hotel to fix problem ruined stay. Promised technician on 3 separate occasions to fix problem and no solution. Spoke to Ama on checkout and also promised that the hotel would get back to us on this issue on 12th August 2019 and again no contact. Disappointing and not satisfactory. At Check-in receptionist was curt and rude not letting us read the paperwork we were signing due to a queue for checkin. Room was clean but sleep was unbearable and uncomfortable.
