ON arrival it was confusing to have a reservation at Novotel and then be checked in by someone wearing an Ibis Hotel uniform. Same chain I know but I paid more for the Novotel.I stayed two nights, the first night there was no heating until after 2200 which was poor as the outside temperature was -2. I complained, but offered a blanket!Due to the poor weather, I thought about eating in my room but there was no menu so trekked through the snow to McDonald's instead

Please allow me to express my sincerest apology. At Novotel we are always strive to provide the highest possible standards of service. Since beginning of this year we are well connected with two brands under one roof. We believe that this connection will brings a more choices for all our Guests as additional option for Guests choosing to stay in Poznan and they are familiar with Accor Hotels. I am sorry you were disappointing by the team not matched your expected uniform suited to Novotel brand - but there are always at least two receptionists which are split to both brand. However we will take your comment to measure continuously the improvement of service. In regards to the heating I would like to mention that in all our rooms with provide individual air conditioning system which gives our Guests opportunity to set the right temperature for themselves. In regards to missing menu in the room I would like to inform you that in rooms we providing QR code with direct link to menu from our restaurant. There is as well phone to our Restaurant which you can call restaurant team for bring you standard menu or offer you our width option for dinning. As well in lobby next to reception we do have coffee shop with plentiful selection of sandwiches, quiches and full lobby bar menu. « It was good but just had one problem after leaving »

Satisfiesd with the hotel but I left a book in the room ("The long Summer"). I wrote an email and called twic to the reception but i di not get an email reply and the reception was not able to tell me whether the book had been found or not. So not very happy about that. Please let me know if the boojk was found

Firstly, I was not upgraded to executive room due to no room available. Later in the evening, I checked again with the reception and a guy attend to me. He told me executive room is only available for one day and I say no point to change room. In the room, there was no bathrobe, no conditioner, no body lotion and I was not able to have more air as the window are all tight closed. This is one of my worst stay in the hotel since my many visit to this hotel. I even asked the night shift reception guy if being a gold card member can enjoy the drinks in the fridge. He was so kind to even pass me the bathrope and also 2 bottles of soft drink, an orange and a Pepsi and told me it's free. I usually do not ask for bathrobe as it's provided in the room but unfortunately there isn't any and I need one because my luggage was delayed from the airport for 3 days and I have no clothing to change when the shops are also all closed on Sunday, 09 Dec and I cannot buy any. So a lot of inconvenience for me. I drank the Pepsi on Sun and the following day the orange juice that the night reception guy has given me free. I was surprised when check out on morning of 14 Dec that the reception lady say I need to pay for the orange juice I took. It was the bottle the guy gaven me free. I told the reception lady that I didn't drink from the fridge and that was given to me free. Why I need to pay? But she insisted that I pay for it. In order not to cause commotion at the reception front desk as there are other guest around, I paid the bill of 10 PLN. It's not the amount but I was not happy that the drinks was given me free but yet I have to pay. Is that the way to treat a gold Accor card member? Dissatisfied customer Foo J.

I spent 6 days working in Poznan and chose Novotel centrum. Walking distance from the university and old square, kind staff and varied breakfast. I got an upgraded room which was comfortable, clean and with Nespresso machine. The fitness centre is good but it was closed for 2 days during my stay. TV could have more English channels.

It was a friendly and helpful environment. My room was clean and the exercise room was also well lit and clean. I was not able to use one of the machines as it would not come on, but it may have been my error. The breakfast was very good as well.

« A very pleasant one-night stay »

A very ok note from me. I spent a pleasant time at your hotel although it was only one night. Nevertheless, the room was clean and quiet, the reception staff were informative, and the breakfast and the young breakfast staff were really nice. The only fault I could find was a strange behaviour of the staff at the entrance to the breakfast restaurant. People were coming into the restaurant, but they were talking to each other, with their backs to the guests, completely making them feel ignored. It is a norm that you get greeted on entering any meal room. But these staff were quite advanced in age, so to speak, so I guess this is still a feature of the old communist style of all the hotels in Poland. The young ones, thanks be to God, were extremely nice and professional.

« Perfect buthotel gym is terrible »

Some time ago it was possible to get a card of for McFit fitness center (in a building next to the hotel). Right now you have a gym inside the hotel which could great idea but: - dumbbells only up to 10kg - no real bench, The one they you have there are not safe for real training - Decathlon equipment is not for a public gym/fittness ( I would not recommend it even or private use) Generally, the hotel/restuarant/serivce is great. I will definitely come back but please consider return of McFit card for guests !!!
