I was on business travel. Service was excelent. During my stay the taxis were on strike, but the staff was always able to help out and find cars. Thanks. Hotel is good, unfortunately I did not find time to use the pool on the roof top, but the experience with good service and recommendations at the bar made good for it :)

The room was always clean. I stopped at the bar every afternoon to get a drink and a bucket of ice to take to my room. Bartenders were excellent. Except for one very helpful front desk clerk who arranged the airport shuttle for me, the front desk staff needs retraining. Most especially the gentleman who works the evening shift. Haughty, dismissive and completely unwilling and unable to help with internet and wifi issues. Insisting instead that all four of my devices were not operating properly and that is why I could not connect to the wifi. Instead of admitting that the wifi was not working. I travel extensively and I always do business when I travel. 5 days of no internet service was an extreme problem for me and marred my entire trip. it is 2018. Hotels MUST have working wifi. It is a necessity. Not an option.

Our rooms have a ventilated air system (which sends cool air in summer and warm air in winter) and doesn’t allow to regulate the room temperature. Therefore the rooms that are south facing, exposed to the sun all day, become rooms a bit warmer than the rest. Limited service - the coffee machine at the breakfast was not working. The breakfast buffet was the same for nearly 4 days. Very limited choices for me as a vegetarian.

« Great Staff »

This is the second time we've stayed here partly because of its proximity to the airport.However, our first stay was so good we decided to stay again this year.Rooms are comfortable and well appointed and we love the view out towards the bridge and over the aqueduct. Reception is efficient, friendly and very helpful.The bar and restaurant staff are hard working, always cheerful and obliging.We witnessed three very rude and demanding guests being dealt with politely and professionally... something I could and would not have done. All credit to the staff and also to their training.Would recommend this hotel to anybody with a few days in Lisbon.

Overall good but I found the facility to be quite old and the room wasn't anything special -- maybe I had slightly higher expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. We didn't have slippers and a bathrobe in the room though!

It's just a hotel, there is nothing really special, small room, correctly decorated and comfortable, good wifi signal. The personal at the reception is friendly. I probably wont return and try to find another hotel with a bit more attraction.

I was impressed by the professional and gentle approach by the team at the reception. Same for the service at the bar, even if they made a mistake with my order, they apologized offering free of charge my dish. Unfortunately my room was just in front of the elevator and quite noisy.

We stay at the Mercure every year. The most important aspect is Castro and the incredible staff, professional, efficient and friendly. The restaurant is beautifully run and the food is always excellent and well presented. We have tried other hotels even larger but the didn't compare.

We have been staying in this hotel many times. Everything was always very good but last time on September 5th we were going to the airport very early and asked whether the brakfast was available at 6:30. The reception said: "YES". It was not. At 6:30 they were preparing the brakfast. It means - the brakfast was not ready. WE COULD NOT HAVA THE BRAKFAST WE HAD PAID FOR.

I’ve got a Gold status at LeClub Accorhotels, but nobody offered or provided me a room upgrade. Although there were better rooms available at website at that time... :/ Breakfast is perfect. You must think about frequent guests. We stay with you all the year, pay more to maintain loyalty and sometimes “hotel is full”, although it’s not real.

Breakfast is fantastic, hotel is very nice. But if you expect upgrade for staying all year at Accorhotels, forget it. They swear hotel is full, although website shows availability. It makes you think twice, before staying at Accor 30 nights a year.
