The hotel facilities and building are good but the staff really needs to improve their welcoming attitude. Especially the night reception as this is an airport hotel and the guests keep coming all night. Just as an example, I checked in at around 12 at night and there was a dark completion receptionist on duty. We checked in alright but I came back and informed the reception that the Air conditioning in the room is not functional so he should get it checked. He was totally free as there was no guests at the reception. All he could have done was to call the concerned people. But instead in a very rough tone, he said that the Air conditioning is only this good and can't be more effective and that I should not touch the regulator panel in my room otherwise it will get worse. What !!! Highly unexpected of a hotel from a chain like Accorhotels. The staff needs to seriously trained.

all rooms were smelling and Air condition not working in all rooms. Bedbugs in beds from Dogs. Very rude african lady on reception. She was unpolite and shouted on us. Poor breakfast. Very dirty brothel

The Air conditioning in the room was not working. I reported the matter to the receptionist on the spot at night but he tried to convince me instead that it is indeed working and I should not touch the regulator inside my room. What does that even mean. His behaviour of dealing was also very unpleasant and unwelcoming. The receptionist was a man of dark complexion extremely uninterested in helping with anything. You need to train them and may be look into it.

I stayed at plenty of Novotels, and this was by far the worst one. The common areas bathrooms were stinky and dirty. The front desk was courteous but understaffed. Breakfast did not have as many options as other Novotels The room that I stayed had a strange configuration -- I guess that is why they call it suite.

The A/C didn’t work well enough to get the room cool. Breakfast is 15 € per person info you want to buy it. The free transportation takes about 25-30 min to get from bus station at airport to hotel. It’ll take a little longer on the way to hotel if you are going to terminal 1. There are definitely better options in the area for the same price or less.

AC was not working and the hotel room smelled like a public restroom. Had to call down for a fan because it got so hot at night. Manager in the morning was rude when we wanted a glass of milk while checking out since we didn’t pay extra for breakfast yet and said the AC had nothing to do with us paying and a beverage wasn’t comparable. Worst service ever at a hotel. All we got was a sorry for the AC not working. Not four stars at all. Would have stayed somewhere else if we knew the AC didn’t work and that management was so rude. Sorry we didn’t know a glass of milk cost extra after spending money on a hotel room that had no working AC and was never told prior.

« Not what we expected from a Novotel Hotel »

Very helpful and friendly staff and the breakfast was good. The room is a good size. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, the bed average. Paper cups in the room for a coffee or tea, why? Thank you, however we would not stay there again.

« Strange room layout / dirty and smelly common areas »

- Disappointed there was only one person at the front desk (and there was no space for more than one) - The bathroom in my room had a strange configuration (toilet separated from shower) with no ventilation in the toilet -- or non-working ventilation. It felt like the toilet was a portable one attached to the room. - There were no maps of the area at the reception to share with us. The person at the reception desk was friendly, but he could not find them either. - The bathrooms close to the reception area were a mess, dirty and smelled really bad, seemed like they had not been cleaned (or kept clean for awhile) - Breakfast was OK, other Novotels have much more and better cleaner facilities

« The air conditioning in the room that was advertised did not exist!!!! »

The people at front desk were very nice. The room was clean and modern. The air conditioning that they advertised having did not exist. Our phone in our room also did not work. I loved that they did have a bar open til 11 pm and that they had a noon checkout. But the room was extremely hot in the summer.

The suite was large and well thought out in terms of layout. there was plenty of space for eating and doing work along with the separate curtained area for sleeping. Having the bath separate from the toilet space is also thoughtful as two can be using the separate spaces at the same time. The bed was large and very comfortable. Pillows were of good quality as well as the hotel bath towels. The room also has a personal safe. Included in the suite is an area with a small sink, small microwave and a small refrigerator along with a coffee nespresso maker. My checkin was done online through a link sent to me by the hotel making it easier and only needing to pick up my key upon arrival. As it was June in the Paris area I booked this property specifically for air conditioning. I immediately turned it all the way down upon arrival and turned the fan up as high as it would go. It was not very strong but I assumed it would cool the place down. We left for dinner and realized upon our return that it was barely cool. We thought the air did not stay on we left as the key has to be placed into the wall slot to work the lights. I should have moved rooms at that point but we were so tired from traveling all day we thought that it would just get cool. I will also say I did try to call reception several times for something else earlier in the day but the phone didn't work either. We had to go down to the desk. We retired and I kept waking up because the room was like a sauna. I finally resorted to opening the window to cool the room, and then had disturbed sleep by noises outside. As this was to be the night before a transatlanic flight I was hoping to get a good night sleep. Due to the unbearable heat I barely got 4 hour of sleep. This is a nice hotel with lots of amenities, and if you don't need a/c or coolness to sleep I'd look elsewhere or I'd book it only in the fall/winter/spring when a/c isn't required.
