« Friendly Staff »

The hotel rooms look a bit run down. There has been little freshening to any of the rooms in years. Funtionally everything is ok but there are better and better value for money hotels in town. Breakfast is also very average and boring. On a positive note the staff is very freindly and tries their best to make the stray pleasant.

« My Stop over in Budapest »

The hotel is simply great. Location could not be better and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff here are friendly and helpful and you feel welcomed by their warmth and keen interest to ensure your needs are taken care of. The wine bar offers an interesting meeting place and the new approach to the decor and setup in reception is different but very functional. Breakfast is what one would expect in an inclusive rate and is more than sufficient to meet the needs of guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest.

The Hotel and the rooms are nice, but I think the rooms should be reconstructed. I really don´t like the shower curtain. The reason why i come back to your Hotel is, the bar, the Food and the breakfast.

We have had a very joyful happening- near Novotel- so it was comfortable to get there. The other side this hotel placed next to the centre- so it was perfect to enjoy the historical sights and after that just go back to relax and sleep there. It was comfortable and nice for us.

The temperature inside the hotel in general / allover was to hot. Could easily have been lowered with 3-5 degrees at my opinion. Nice restaurant and aware personnel. But sometimes they were to fast to take the used dishes. I did not understand why there was two double beds inside my room. I would have liked more space on the floor. Safe was broken and could not be used. I did not tell anyone about it. I would have liked a safety chain at the door. Safety device on window was broken and the room was on the fourth floor.

Very good breakfast including local specialities. Reception staff very kind. ALthough we had the room next to the main road (327), it was very quiet. We also liked the fact that the outdoor parking was free. Rooms clean.

Was missing toothpaste in the bathroom In the restaurant when we are eating, you should come to see if everything on and bring water. When group of people stay in the hotel like a young sport team you should check that they don't make too much noise (after 11 pm for example) because they have to respect the other customers.

« Some small "challenges" »

Have been coming to the hotel for many years - usually got upgraded to one of the business or loft rooms, but this time ended up in 310. Maybe the rooms have different quality, but the bed and cover were not so comfortable (and warm) - in addition the thermostat didnt operate, so could not leave the heating on in the night as it just kept blowing. I asked the reception about this on my second day (heating), but nothing changed/improved. Some nice touches with the bottle of water and the smoothy bar in the restaurant.

I have mix feelings about this hotel. Although I am part of the Accor loyalty program, I would have switch back to the Best Western hotel if my colleagues were not staying at the Novotel. In fact, I heavily debated on where to stay when I return on March 12th. and I can believe I picked the Novotel. What's good about the Novotel is location, underground parking, and staff. What sucks is bathroom bad odor on some days, the small antiquated tv, very expensive mini bar, antiquated shower. I still can't believe I opted to stay here again especially since I have no colleagues with me this time.
