We’ve stayed in a few Novotel hotels now and this one doesn’t quite hit the mark with what we’ve experienced in the others. Breakfast was good but the rooms a bit dated. I booked a suite wit double bed, 2 single beds and a sofa bed yet got a room with a double and a sofa bed with a pull out bed. The room smelled stale. Only upside was the location was good for what we wanted.

The room was persistently warm with heating off so the window had to be open most of the time. It seems that plastic cups aren't replaced aren't replaced. There is confusion about how to signal that towels dont need replacing. Brekafast area has too many low chairs. There is not sufficient space to prepare cooked eggs. There is always a shortage of cutlery at breakfast - even at 715. I have made all of these remarks before.

We have to stay there twice. 1st time was good just smell gaz in room in the morning. 2nd time was bad. The housekeeper knocked the door at 9 o'clock for no reason. How nonsense they are? If wanna clean the room, she should clean after the customer check out? not during stay. This is unexpected for 4 stars hotel.

The staff were excellent and particularly helpful in arranging food delivery. The room was a good size, comfortable and well-fitted out. If there was a basic restaurant on site it would score higher, as this is important for business trips.

The hotel is clean and well managed, but during our 3 day stay we did not receive a complementary welcome drink which is always included in the Silver membership and when asked for late check out, which is always free of charge for this type of membership, they asked me to pay 25 euro.

The personnel was not friendly at all. Especially in the morning, I have seen 4-5 people around and nobody even took the time to say good morning. I compare this with the Novotel in Hammersmith, London - where I go very regularly. They would receive a 9/10 for this aspect. Although I am a gold member, I makes me seriously think if I want to stay again in Velizy despite the fact that I come often in that part of the city. Also, the staff in London usually asks if I want a drink voucher or if I want to have additional points on my card. In Paris, the girl just put the voucher as part of my key card without asking anything. These are basic things that should not happen for a hotel in this price category.

Rooms are not very clean and the hotel is pretty basic. It does not warrant a 4-star rating. When we complained to the management they offered us a smaller room which was also not very clean. They eventually refunded and we checked into another Novotel hotel nearby.

the hotel is close to my office : Dassault Systemes in Velizy The food (Bocaux) is good quality and with choices even if we would like to stay healthy (not just sandwich) the breakfast is full and can be quick in the morning the only issue is the traffic jam to velizy but you are not responsible; Maybe traffic light may be helpful some time to join the main road. parking could be larger / more slots and road with more light @ night

We were two adults, a teenager and a pet. The room was very spacious, which was perfect for us. The staff was nice and very helpful. The breakfast was good, but the space, where the food was served was too small for the amount of people having breakfast. We had actually to wait for a free table.

We had a very disappointing 5 night stay from 21st December, 2018 at Novotel Vélizy. I have listed below my comments, 1. The room we stayed in was a ‘suite’, though it was nothing like. It was a slightly bigger standard hotel room with a curtain in the middle to partition into 2 parts. 2. The hotel is in bad need of a revamp. The carpets are stained and have a musty order and the overall visible impression is very poor. 3. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Firstly the usual Novotel hot food fare was missing - cooked sausages, sautéed mushrooms, scrambled eggs and eggs to order. Instead, there was a small cooking station for guests to make their own eggs! Your guests have visited you for a holiday and you expect them to make their own food! If some guests enjoy it that way, give them that option, but most guests would rather have the hotel take care of their needs. 4. Poor planning at breakfast. The hotel was ill prepared for a large number of guests. Limited seating options, dirty tables and no immediate clearing of used plates and trays from tables were some really negative points. Further, the food itself ran out of stock. Bacon was unavailable for our first 3 breakfasts at the hotel, when there were a lot of guests. 5. I sent a mail on the very first day after experiencing issues at breakfast. I however received a reply from the receptionist, not the manager with a meaningless and unacceptable ‘we are sorry, had more guests, we would love to have you back, give us another chance’. No one - neither the receptionist nor the manager made any effort to contact me in all the remaining 4 nights at the property. It was like my mail was conveniently forgotten. It was an overall forgettable experience at Novotel Vélizy, when compared to our earlier stays in other Novotel properties across the world. I shall definitely not recommend this property to other guests. Thanks, Vinod
